It makes you fly upwards, depending on how fast your trigger pulling skills are, you can practically ZOOM upwards. Step 1: Deploy parachute like you'd normally would Step 2: Pull and HOLD down on the left analog stick Step 3: Hold R Trigger whilst pressing L Trigger repeatedly (You can also do vice versa, Hold L Trigger and press R Trigger repeatedly) Note: Don't overwork your fingers, you'll give yourself a bad hand cramp. Also, sometimes when you get TOO high, the parachute will disapear and you'll fall to your death. It mostly happens when you're going higher than the game normally allows you in a helicopter. Indecisive Posted November 2, 2009 Share Posted November 2, 2009 (edited) I was testing out the parachute glitch and I found out how to get infinitely high. If you hold LT and keep tapping RT too much for too long of a period, the parachute breaks off. What you need to do is stop tapping RT every once in a while to reset whatever timer R* is using to account for it. That way the parachute never breaks off and you can go higher and higher. If you get too high, the screen goes black in certain places. Anyway, thanks for the find man! EDIT: Before you leave ground, store one parachute on your back and one in your inventory. That way when you can sky dive after getting as high as you want. I got so high that almost the entire screen was black, and I could see all the islands, albeit every thing was very foggy. Cool glitch that allow us to traveling in style Edit: sometimes in MP there's alo a glitch where the paracute will be invinsible to the naked eye. I do not know how to excute it, it just happens. Purplish Posted November 2, 2009 Share Posted November 2, 2009 I don't know if this has already been found out but I tried doing the glitch opposite(holding forward) and it makes me fall down very quickly while in a parachute. Just before you land, shift your weight back and you will land with no damage. This can come in handy when you are too high up or when you want to quickly bail out without actually bailing out... GTA Phreak Posted November 2, 2009 Share Posted November 2, 2009 Great find In the mission "Dropping In" you have an seemingly endless amount of parachutes, so you can cut loose and re-deploy all you want. Just don't drop bellow the target (red bar on hud) which will fail the mission (meaning you're on your last chute).
