GTA:SA weapon skin modding

I am having some trouble modding my weapons. I am trying to change the skins of the weapons with img tool but thats not working very well. I never messed up but this is what happened.

I don't know whats going on at all. I never messed up on the img tool. i replaced what i was suppose to replace. Funny thing is that sometimes 1 weapon might change back to normal but the rest are still ruined. Can someone tell me why this is happening and how i can fix it?

This happens to me a lot. I'm not sure why it does it only sometimes, but it's really annoying.

The easiest thing I found to do is to just delete the .dff files for the weapons that are messed up and then add a new one into the .img file.

LOL @ your puzzlement. Rebuild the IMG. Everytime you replace files, Always rebuild. If you use GTAGarage you must STILL rebuild.

try this

open txd workshop

open your txd

click

file

dff check

chose your dff

rename the weapon in that what stands in dff check

do this in txd workshop with proberties

if got alpha put alpha channel on

I use Spark for my .img editing. It allows you to click-n-drag the files and doesn't need to rebuild the .img.

IMO it's way faster and more reliable than IMGtool.

Spark did not Rebuild Archive, which is what you need.

Your file gta3.img is a puzzle, do not come out alive...
