AmyJones
hey slamman? you seem to know a few things about old ass computers. so heres my question for you, have you ever heard of FirstChoice.exe? it's kind of like a very old ass memopad. I got an instruction book for it that came with this old ass pc from 1989 is it worth sh*t?
BT&T Hell Labs
Why would you want WMP on a Mac? Just use VLC, plays more codecs and is better anyway. He's not using OS X. Honestly that sounds like a mystery to me, the only thing I can suggest is format and reinstall. I've never seen problems like that before. Slamman
It's Mac OS 9.2.2, some upgrading, even a copy of Photoshop 5.5, alongside 7. I was upgrading MMedia tools, like plug ins for Internet Explorer with Shockwave and Flash, claiming the Add On folder is missing, and the WMP 7 and USB driver for DPM will only freeze up instead of a proper reboot. One of the utilities is Virex I believe, an AntiVirus tool and the definitions are dated, but I ran it successfully, other upgrades I did worked, like IE upgrade patches, just drop and drag, click on them, simple procedure. I am confused as well, some of this worked, some of it didn't. I got a USB flash drive to read, but not a multi-card reader I own. May have drivers for Mac and PC, but I tried natively at first. It's booting every time looking to setup an HP all-in-one, and I'd like to disable that so I don't have to repeatedly close it but I can't see how that's done, other then removing the software outright. WMP is just handy on covering the media types most commonly used. It wasn't on this Mac at all so I opted to try and get it in the program files. Also found more photos that took up a lot of space, purging those. Hope the family here rescued their images somehow! They all turned out pretty good, and it would be neat to find the camera they used to take them. I could shoot the process causing errors for YouTube as well, I suspect, get some varied input, and Amy? Not aware of what it might be from 1989, that's REAL Old, I stick with Pentium 1 CPU era, at least, I can run software on a 150Mhz CPU! and 30 to 40MB Ram. My Toshiba 410CD/CDT laptops are only 90Mhz and 40MB RAM EDO Anyway, I've messed about as far as I can with the upgrades, it's still freezing up, the big problem, I added my Apple DVD ROM drive and Apple's DVD software says there is still an A/V issue. either lacking the hardware for decoding, or something is actively using the sound/video drivers? Something like that. The VideoLAN I see supported for MAC, somehow I can't located it on the drive (marked G3 on the desktop icons. Cut and Paste function is covered in the Help of Apple Scripts, I imaging, using scripting is much akin to simple program writing for tasks that the computer can then carry out. I don't know if Scripts mentioned among PC or Apple hardware differs, to be honest, reading about it so far is still confusing syntax.
