Who do you play more ?

Am I the only one who doesn't really like Niko that much? I mean, he was an immigrant and that was it, he seemed rather plain to me...

What was wrong with him being an immigrant? Personally I think he's the best protagonist along side Tommy. I loved Niko's sarcastic yet subtle humor. He also wasn't afraid of getting his hands "dirty".

 

Can't comment on Johnny too much since I haven't played TLAD, but during his role in GTA IV he seemed pretty cool. There isn't alot on Luis to give me an opinion on him yet.

I think he meant that the fact that he's an immigrant was the only thing interesting about him. Not that it was a bad trait. I feel the same way, I liked his personality, but I feel like he would've been better suited as a Roman-esque side character. Although I do appreciate the uniqueness of his character, he's not a stereotype either.

 

So I'd have to say he's a second behind Luis, with Johnny at third.

I'm sure Niko will still have the best story of the three as he has about 4 times more missions than Johnny and Luis and there was a lot more time working on his story (vanilla GTA IV). However, since TBOGT isn't out yet, I'll vote by my opinions of their voice actors. Michael Hollick (Niko) was a great voice actor no doubt, but he was somewhat of a "deeck". I can see from the success of GTA IV why he would want to get paid a bit more from R*, but he ended up making an ass out of himself. Mario D'Leon (Luis) is a very friendly person to chat with. From what I've seen from his wall posts on Facebook, he seems to think a lot like me too (not much of the sports though).

 

So, I'm going to vote Luis out of respect for Mario D'Leon even if this does sound dumb.

Niko is by far one of the most interesting, human like video game characters I've ever seen.

 

It's too early for me to say what I think about Luis but he seems interesting enough.

 

I absolutely hated Johnny and all his stupid red neck friends. I think TLAD was a horrible addition (besides weapons) to the GTA franchise. Just about everything the bikers said made me angry, the only reason I purchased it was because I love GTA as a whole.

 

I knew we were in for somethin good since Nikos first lines in that trailer two and a half years ago.

this makes a hole lot more since how many hired guns do you know enjoyed what they do but they took too many features out of gta4

Have not completed the story yet but Luis is a total winer so far! (Like him though, its gives something to the character) My point is that his absolutly NOT cooler than Niko Bellic!!

Armando: Good to hang around with you Luis! A and L. Feels like the old days!

Luis: Yeah, and then I will end up in prison, AGAIN!

 

Can you even imagine niko saying something like that?! (And over and over and over......)

Niko is the best-developed, while Luis has the most personality. Niko is a tragic, sardonic, reluctant assassin with a rapier wit who "always wanted to be a lawyer", while Luis is a wise-cracking, playboy 'badass sociopath' in the mould of Tommy Vercetti. However, I'd say that Gay Tony is perhaps the best of any GTA I've ever played, being not only the first truly convincing depiction of a gay character I've witnessed in a mainstream videogame, but also the only one apart from Niko whose fate I've actually cared about - which, given how little we actually know about him (not to mention how f*cked-up he is), is no mean feat.

I play as Luis most often due to all the the new cars, newer version of motorcycle physics engine, and the best of the guns put into one game. Theres more stuff to do in TBoGT too.

Niko because he is just the don man, plus you can hang out with Brucie or Roman when your him. Then Luis because he is cool and also he is a big guy, then Johnny, Jonny is last because I don't like TLAD as much as TBOGT or GTA IV.

And that's why we have Episodes, Niko is a very neutral character to a wide audience, Club Land and Biker Gang themes are some what specific audiences. I f*cking love TLAD and would of loved a whole GTA game of it, the Biker culture and characters are just awesome. TBOGT to me however, I didn't like it, thought the music was crap, the characters were annoying and the missions were just very flash bang for the sake of it rather than actually fitting the story.
