Vince B
My number one favorite protagonist in the IV era would have to be Luis, as he seems so bad *ss from the trailers. Right now Niko and Johnny are tied for third, as I never played tLaD yet so I can't really say who I like more.

AZAZEL
I like Luis, but I prefer characters with a sense of humour I found Niko's sense of humour to be more down my alley. Just his accent alone, and his sarcastic remarks made me chuckle quite a few times. He's me favourite, and I'm glad that Rockstar found him interesting enough to be used as the main character. Niko's sarcastic humour is awesome. I remember when he said "Your dad likes it up the ass" or something to that extent when he, and Roman were kidnapped, and taken down to Faustin's basement. NikoTheSoldier
1. Niko - Down to earth, and not afraid of anything. Has quite a lot of friends for a sociopath. 2. Luis - Psycho killer, & gigolo, who's rich, but slums with his drug dealer pals. 3. Johnny - Wanted to just make money, and cruise with his friends, but it went all to hell for him . I love all 3 to be honest.
i like coffee enemas
1) Johnny 2) Niko 3) Luis Believe me, Niko is a very close no.2, but Johnny really was more my kind of guy. His story and personality appealed to me much more than Niko's. Nevertheless, the reason I liked these two characters so much and preferr them over Luis is because I can relate to them. They're both loyal and men of principal, much like myself. They weren't afraid to tell it how it was and nor were they afraid to get their hands dirty, YET they both had a soft side. Luis essentially had the same character traits as Johnny and Niko, but I had no real reason to like him. He was a womanising thug and didn't have much else going for him. Sure, he was very loyal to Tony, but I've since moved on since the San Andreas days so the one dimensional thug just isn't my cup of tea anymore. Rockstar had every chance to explore his origins and create a really compelling character but they sacrificed a real story for over the top action. It's a shame really. Maybe I'd of liked Luis a bit more had Rockstar actually worked on his character and not just provided us with CJ 2.0.

Rhoda
I'm going with Niko because... 1) He's Developed Simply put, there's far more depth for Niko at the end of the story than for anyone else. I know the other protagonists are part of a DLC episode and I'm not saying I'm unhappy with their development but Niko's struggle, cynicism and depression was really well played and I just he's far more deep than anyone we've seen before. 2) We've Watched Him Grow If you laughed at that, you're a moron. We've seen far more screenshots and we've seen the evolution of the man's appearance. Before IV's release, nobody really anticipated what the DLC held in terms of potential so Niko was our man of the hour in that sense.
Warplay3r
Niko Bellic. I mean, honestly, we've seen him through the beginning to the end. From when he was fresh of the boat, thinking he was moving in with his 'rich' cousin, to the death of a loved one of his, be it Roman or Kate. He became well developed through the game, was a very open person to everyone, like Playboy X, Dwayne, Packie, etc. Niko had a heart, and sometimes sympathy for some. He also uses dry humor, which appeals to me. I dunno, he just seems very fitting to be a main character. And he seems to be my favorite. Luis rides up in second though. He was never scared of anything, like when he bad mouths Billy Grey. Or when he wiped out all of Bulgarin's hitmen, then took him on himself, chasing his plane & jumping on it. Luis was honestly very badass, and I enjoyed that about his character. And he was a big ladies man, and that is also admirable.
