drakic
I think that you shouldn't allow all old topics to be bumped, as I see some users which bump a year old topic, and it's creator is busted. In 'Mod Showroom', if the thread is more than a month or two old, you should allow only topic creator or team members to bump it, and for legitimate reason. Some people just bump a year old topic to ask a question like 'How are you doing, guys', or 'What's up'... So mainly, I suggest that topics should be bumped for a legitimate reason. Chunk
I wouldn't worry about it mate. What you're suggesting is a basic rule in all parts of the forums, including Mod Showroom, so if you do see something like this just report it in future. AndyGanteks
Yo Bro. If you see such topic bumped, report the post of the guy who bumped it, and theyll delete it and close the topic back to the page 100 or whereever it is.
Mark
What Andy said. We don't allow old topics to be bumped for no reason, but we're not omnipresent so reporting the posts helps us a lot .
drakic
Thanks. You're right, I'll report something like that if I see it. But, if topic is 5 months with no reply, and now it's bumped, shold I report it? Is 5 months OK to report? Vanzant
It depends on whether or not if it contributes a decent discussion. I find it easier to send a message to the original Poster if it's a simple question. This would be a solution to the Mod Showroom. If it's a Five Month old Thread That got no attention, It's probably not a big deal Drakic as long as it would merit a reason. Common Sense is the best bet. drakic
Yes, you're right Vanzant. I'll look for threads which got no attention and are bumped for no reason, thanks (like ''link broken, please re-upload'', instead of PM-ing the modder). Slamman
Something I was recently PMed about, however that Mod forgot or at least was unaware that I was told last year that 3 to 4 months is about tops, you'll definately catch some attention with inactive topics. I was told you can bump if two criteria outlined were met, I forget them verbatim, but staying on the topic you are bumping is clearly important. Having some current relevance still as well I suspect. I bump my own topics if there's been inactivity for some time.
Otter
Slamman, I think the real answer is to simply use common sense. Since you've displayed very little of this quality, people try to give you guidelines to figure it out.
