claza
I caved and bought an Xbox, because I didn't want to grow old waiting until Gay Tony and The Lost make their way onto PC or PS3. I bought the 2 episodes bundled together on the same CD, and I was very displeased to learn that the xbox sees them as a single game. It was bad enough that we have only 12 savegame slots, but now when I try to save a Gay Tony game it turns out the 12 slots are shared with The Lost. Of course I could buy a bunch of Xbox memory devices at 30 dollars a pop to solve my dilemma, but my freaking xbox has 97 gigabytes free space! Why shouldn't I be able to specify another location on that hard drive? Managing GTA savegames on PC is piece of cake. PS3 was not so bad with GTA4 either, since savegames can be copied onto regular flashdrives. Can someone recommend an Xbox solution? Maybe I can connect the xbox on the network and download some kind of an xbox file manager onto my PC?

cultivator
Nope. You'll have to deal with it. It's not a major thing.
Captain Awesome
Stop bitching. Those of us who downloaded both DLCs have to share the slots with IV.
The 7th Number
Stop bitching. Those of us who downloaded both DLCs have to share the slots with IV. Exactly, and i dont know why this is a big deal. I have save for first play throughs and 100% for each game. Backup saves for the 100%. Not to mention saves right before each decision in GTA IV, which there are 3. Yeah i pretty much used up all my slots, but i could always play again and play off the autosave slots. FullMetal
Well, I was somewhat surprised with this method of savegames. But on the other hand it ain't that much hassle...
claza
Well, I was somewhat surprised with this method of savegames. But on the other hand it ain't that much hassle... All of you who replied that it's no big deal: How do you guys replay specific missions later if you feel like it? Saving the game often is the only way for The Lost and for GTA4. I think in Gay Tony they came up with something else but you have to reach 100% or something. All of you who replied that I'm bitching: It is my right to do so, so keep your mouth shut if you don't have anything constructive to add. Come on, there is gotta be some way to get into that 120 gig xbox hard drive and put it to good use. Any suggestion on a good freeware I could download? Another option would be an USB adapter between the xbox MU and PC. Do you guys know of a place where I could get one?
Rewdalf
Stop bitching. Those of us who downloaded both DLCs have to share the slots with IV. I have GTA IV on my harddrive to make the game run smoother. Then came Lost and Damned And now Ballad of Gay Tony I'm lucky I haven't used much of my 120 gigs But I'll be feeling the burn later. In addition to GTA I also downloaded Saints Row 2 since I had some freezing issues and kept loosing all my weapons.

kgrogfefji82
This was never a issue for me. I have two complete game saves from each games so two for IV two for TLAD two for TBOGT, one has cheats the other doesn't. Then I have 3 other save slots for random mission progress in each game. Considering you can play any mission you want whenever you want in TBOGT saving really isn't all that importaint
EDDS
Solution: make another xbox live account (silver) and you'll have 12 more slots or however many it is
Benfolio
I have all three games clogging my saves and never needed so many. Maybe at the max THREE save files for any given game.... unless I REALLY felt like going back, or screwed up horribly, I only needed the last one or two, and one for cheats.
