TBoGT Mini Review

Hi all

 

Been a GTA fan since the start and finished every game - missions only as I am not a 100% perfectionist and once the story is done that is it for me - game over.

 

Just finished TBoGT and I thought it ws very good in some parts but poor in others. I know it is difficult to continually come up with new missions and themes so well done R* for this episode although to be totally honest I thought it was shorter than TLaD (or is it just me?) and apart from about 2 missions, cant think of names now, they were all easy in my opinion.

 

So, what was good and what was bad:

 

Good points:

 

- weapons

- buzzard

- base jumping

- characters (very good especially Yusuf!)

- new cars

 

Bad points:

 

- missions too short

- not enough missions

- not enough emphasis on the 'club scene'

- no planes - maybe they could have done a mission where you fly to San Andreas or something like that?

- poor ending

 

Overall I give the game 7.5/10 and put it on par with TLaD - maybe I was expecting a lot more but for 1600 MSP I guess I can't complain.

 

This brings me to a question, or sould I say questions that have probably been asked a million times:

 

(1) Favourite GTA game?

(2) Will there be more DLC in the future?

(3) Will there be a brand new GTA game in the future?

 

For me:

 

(1) Vice City

(2) I hope so but what else can they do?

(3) Again I hope so but maybe a brand new location like the Far East or in Europe somewhere?

I don't know what more you could expect out of a $20 DLC. It already has more content and higher presentation values than many full $60 games. It seems to have a lot more content than the TLAD as well.

 

Also, this is the last DLC. And of course there will be a new GTA game in the future. As to where it will be set, I haven't the vaguest idea.

Seriously, not enough missions? This a DLC not a full game. Also the missions were long enough by GTA's standarts. And the ending was awesome

7.5 ??? man thats beyond harsh its easy a 9 and most gamer critics have done well with there review of this game .

(2) no rockstar have confirmed this

(3) of course but i think it will be one full game with no exclusive episodes

i don't know about "poor ending", i enjoyed the ending a lot however it was very short, which made the ending less spectacular i suppose.

Um...you do realise that this is a DLC, right? There can't be a lot of missions in a DLC! For example, look at Saint Row's; they only have three missions! And the ending was badass.

If 26 missions from a DLC pack isn't enough you must have very high standards. Considering the fact that SR2 which is a full game only has just over 30 missions I think R* done pretty well.

 

Anyway to answer the questions...

 

(1) Favourite GTA game? Vice City.

(2) Will there be more DLC in the future? Doubt it.

(3) Will there be a brand new GTA game in the future? Absolutely.
