MAN IN THE DARK
So, what has changed exactly? Johny move a lot faster, have his own animation and Louise thank god too. Bikes move a lot more faster and controls more easy. Johny jacket real badass now, more black and have some stuff on it. Lost club house now have amaizing light effect then night come out. And thats only half of the game, and even more they chagne cutscenes and some other things. A LOT better just like with Liberty City Stories version. PSP Bad, PS2 Good

And obviously the PS2 version of LCS was better than the PSP version - they had a lot more "engine" to deal with.

Magic_Al
I've heard that in EFLC that TLAD uses the same map data as TBoGT, so Johnny can see new exteriors (does that include the [TBoGT spoiler]new Rotterdam Tower rooftop?), but this is the first I've heard of TLAD's own content being different. d0mm2k8
Have you ever played on SAMP? Well on SAMP if you have a texture mod installed, only you can see it. I guess this could be vaguely similar to that.
brandrixco
I think they share the same map

Loyal fans got f*cked over for getting the DLC TLAD. The multiplayer on the DLC is pretty much dead but EFLC is popular, and us DLC guys can't f*cking join in. Luis F. Lopez
Johnny can go all the way on top of the new Rotterdam tower. I tried it this morning jus to see.
Ash_735
Ugh, so they made some minor improvements to TLAD too? Man that sucks, why did they even release the DLC if they were cutting content from it and not even going to bother putting the improvements on the DLC either? simonp92
^ its not like its big changes or anything. but when it gets to PS3 im going to buy EFLC.
Ash_735
^ its not like its big changes or anything. but when it gets to PS3 im going to buy EFLC. They've gave Johnny more animations, changed cutscenes, Club House now has Lights at night, etc, I'd say these are some better changes for the game that us Guinea Pigs that Rockstar took money from now laugh at because we didn't buy the Disc, which wasn't even mentioned at the time. Magic_Al
Johnny can go all the way on top of the new Rotterdam tower. I tried it this morning jus to see. That's enough to make multiplayer between DLC and EFLC versions impossible. It's not the same map and it's not just cosmetic.
liquidus119
Exactly what animations and cut scenes did they change? I could give two craps about his running speed and the map being updated, but I'm going to be really mad if he has totally new fighting animations and the cut scenes have additions to them or something... Ash_735
So I caved in, I gave in, Rockstar, I have now purchased TLAD and TBOGT twice, I've now got EFLC. Trying out The Lost and Damned again (don't really give a damn about TBOGT), Johnny can now use the extra parking space outside of Luis' apartment and the map changes are in the game, so all the night clubs appear and you can hear music from them (but can't enter). There really isn't much difference to Johnny's jacket, just a bit less compression but that's it, which is obvious as they have more space on Disc than DLC limits. I loaded my save game so I didn't get to check out the club house (Story finished) so I can't comment on that or the cutscenes. His animations are only SLIGHT different, I couldn't even notice at times, The only bike I tested was the Lycan and handling has been changed, the only difference was that it now turns easier. liquidus119
Hmm, from the sounds of things it's not worth buying EFLC if I already got TLAD... Maybe I will rent it later to see for myself. Thanks for caving in and giving us the inside scoop on what's different, Ash.

I'm not sure about this but my TLaD(DLC) club house do also lit up during the night unlike the above picture. Is it just me or do R* actually updated minor things for us. Sorry to stretch the page but i can't find any smaller pic. Edited November 5, 2009 by viken9191
Mafioso86
I'll wait till it shows up used. my thoughts exactly, or when it goes to Platinum Hits... i would like to hear the new Fernando radio station as well, and a few months down the road i could handle shoveling out $20 for the other stations, new cutscenes, and having the box and game manual.... not to mention being able to take the game to a friends house and play it. i like coffee enemas
There are no new cutscenes. It's still the same story. Where have you gotten that from?
J.Smallwood
The seperate Multiplayers on TLAD have there advantages as you can get away from modders on the "Tlad" downloadable content on xbox 360.
