Error in loading screen

Hey everyone,

I've looked on the forum for a few days but couldn't really find a topic that explained the same error as I get:

Here's the problem: Since yesterday i bought my version of Gta SA on Pc

I Borrowed a week before from a friend of mine and he wanted it back so i decided to buy it myself.

I installed it but now everytime want to start playing

The game just stops loading at the loading screen

Right in the middle when the bar of loading is half full

I've tried many things like: Mark "read only, use windows Xp Sp... and many others

But still the same old bar keeping still in the middle -.-

 

My Comp: Intel Dual core 2.4GHz

2Gb Ram

nvidea 8600GT

Windows Vista

from wat i understand, u r saying that u installed the game 1st time using ur friend's dvd

and now u bought ur own dvd and the game doesn't work anymore

 

my q is: before playing it from ur dvd, did u uninstall the previous one?

 

if yes, then delete gta_sa.set file from GTA San Andreas User Files folder. (sorry i don't hav vista so i don't know where that folder is located actually, in xp it is in My Documents folder)

 

if no, then uninstall the game (if the previous one is there, uninstall it too). delete gta_sa.set file from GTA San Andreas User Files folder. Reinstall the game.

P.S. if u have any mods, uninstall them

SOrry that i wasn't clear enough but i uninstalled my friend's GTA en installed my own one yesterday

 

I had mods on them but how do i uninstall them?

I deleted all modinstallers and the mods themselves...

wat i meant by unistalling them is deleting all files from san andreas directory

 

here, try this:

 

1) first of all, uninstall your gta:sa completely (using Add/remove programs)

2) delete gta_sa.set file from " ...\Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files" folder

3) delete "...\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas" folder

4) reinstall gta

5) play by starting a new game (your old saves might not work)
