SafetyCatch
I know Rockstar wanted to state the point that this was the grand finale of Liberty City, but I think they overstated it. I'm a realisim freak (hate expected), but the storyline didn't really sink in. What bewildered me was how Luis just agreed, when Tony asked him to bust the diamond deal. It just dosen't work. Or how Tony and Luis conjured the plan to kill Bulgarin. It was too surreal. I'm not saying I hated it, I'm just saying Rockstar could of added a little extra work to it. OGLuke
I know it was just to thrown together. I was hoping for an unpredictable story with thrown in WTF sequences, but no it was simple kill bulgarin and save tonys ass. Thats why most guessed at bulgarin being the final boss, so instead of R* coming up with something on there own they just gave it to the fans demands. R*: You want ray bulgarin as the final badguy instead of us coming up with something that you'd never see coming and make you sh*t your pants out of excitement? Well you got it! it's almost as ludacris as knowing what youre gunna get for christmas because you asked for it. Youre not dissapointed but then again, there's not much of a suprise at the end now is there?
Chloe Smith
Well, I can see where you're coming from, but then again, the entire franchise isn't all too realistic in it's own now is it? You probably wouldn't be able to get away from cops so easily, let alone avoid arrest. You probably wouldn't have high speed car chases without any worry in the world. It's a video game, and there's supposed to be a stretch from reality. I think that the reality was put into perfect sync. It felt like a nightlife lifestyle would feel like. And for Christ's sake, use the SPOILER tags.
Magic_Al
Going back to the crazy fun of San Andreas means the story that tries to explain the crazy missions can't help but be ridiculous. With the episodes we got three flavors of GTA IV so probably everyone's going to have a favorite and a least favorite.
blahblah1212
Wow, why am I not surprised that people are ALREADY complaining about it being too unrealistic. Rockstar North will never please everyone. It's either too realistic or too unrealistic.

fedora
Luis is as badass as Niko... I think the end was Ok. And I agree with blahblah1212. People tell that GTA IV has boring story, too much realistic, now this? TBoGT is amazing, have cool weapons, vehicles, multiplayer and have too many new possibilities. liquidus119
R*: You want ray bulgarin as the final badguy instead of us coming up with something that you'd never see coming and make you sh*t your pants out of excitement? Well you got it! Honestly, I'd rather have had this then all of the half baked theories that fans were throwing around about Frickie Van Hardenburg. I am so glad that he was only in one mission... liquidus119
It's fun on both ends of the spectrum. The problem is you need to find a balance... The more down to earth, realistic stuff should be at the start of the game. The over the top, slightly unrealistic stuff should be left for the climax/ending of the games. Rockstar North can't seem to get this right.
The N. Bellic Man
Unrealistic? Yeah. Fun? That's for f*cking sure!
Mr. O
I agree with the story, you can tell it was just thrown together. However, all the new cars, guns, and other accessories make up for it .
Case-Uh-Dilla
Dude really? It's either GTA 4 vanilla: -complain about how there's nothing to do after the game...but at least it's realistic right! OR Ballad of that fruitbag Tony: -beat the unrealistic game, but then do drug deals, go clubbing, get drunk and pass out, stab a ho, slap the ho you just stabbed, ascend a building with an awesome buzzard attack chopper, jump out that heli with a parachute while blowing the helicopter up with satchel charges, and to top it all off, land in the golf course to play a few holes. giggity. In my opinion i'm thinking the unrealistic Bogt is WAAAAY better than the 'realistic' GTA 4 vanilla, so pleeeeease lets not get into this whole "i wish it wasnt too real, oh but now i wish it was" thing cuz its soo annoying. pick a side and be happy with it. sorry, the halloween candys gettin me grumpy. i found a razor in my tootsie roll
EduardKoeleJuck
I agree, they could've put more work in. But it's still a f*cking ALPHA game, bro! ROCKSTAR: 27 ()⁶ Edited November 1, 2009 by EduardKoeleJuck
Duplex
Seriously guys, come on. They've given us two realistic, gritty stories which were both great. Now they've turned it into a Michael Bay action film which a lot of people asked for and you people who like the gritty sh*t are complaining. Personally, I love it all. It's not that unrealistic, what's unrealistic about a parachute, APC and an attach chopper?

Leo Colt
It's still grounded though. No men from the ghetto going around flying jetpacks or anything. I was a fan of GTA IVs take on realism, but I prefer this I guess. They just need to tighten up the story if they do this approach again. Still, it's hilarious and entertaining enough to make up for it.
