YoungJoe94 Posted October 31, 2009 Share Posted October 31, 2009 Okay, so I want to connect my laptop to my 360 (To play songs and videos on my xbox that are on my laptop). I know where to go and what to do... Windows Media Player > Library > Media Sharing > Share My Media To > Then select Xbox 360 and allow The only problem is, the Xbox 360 isn't appearing. I check my downstairs/family computer and it DOES show the 360. I don't know if this makes a difference but, my laptop is wirelessly connected to my router while the computer is wired. NTAuthority Posted November 1, 2009 Share Posted November 1, 2009 Usually, with UPnP clients, the client needs to show the server, you try connecting to the server from the client, and any server software should then allow you to give permission. Try setting WMP's sharing open to all devices (at least, if you trust the people on your network ), and try if the 360 finds your computer. Slamman Posted November 1, 2009 Share Posted November 1, 2009 (edited) Whoaa, I posted in the wrong thread, may I suggest, however, that you know which is taking the role of Client and Server, and that as not a proper PC, the Xbox system is native, so you have to address that when looking to connect, and of course, the PS3 has options now added under every branch menu, Look for the Server (online), it may well be the better tool for ease of use in that area.
