mr.e
Hmm, well come on man wtf how is it that you've gotten 3 copies and they all do the same thing? There's something up with that. Its been 2 copies, but i honestly have no idea whats going on. Im not ruling out the possibility that it could be my 360 but all of my other games work fine..It doesnt make sense. ~ Proud Supporter of the Child's Play Charity! | GTANET + Child's Play ~
iPetrovic
I had this blotch problem with my GTA IV disc before. Anyone knows that is the cause of such problems? I do hope this problem doesn't affect my other games.
mr.e
Also, when 360's die, they don't get progressively worse. Prolonged freezing of one game must be a different issue.360s freeze once or twice then immediately red ring. I would know, it's happened to me twice That sucks, believe it or not i had 2 ps3's brick on me as well as my 360 once before. ~ Proud Supporter of the Child's Play Charity! | GTANET + Child's Play ~
Tsar_Smirnoff
Damn man, sorry to hear that.....I had a similar problem back in the fall of 2006 when I first got the original Saint's Row. The game froze a couple of times and then the next thing I know I had the infernal RROD. It was the same as you, I could play other games fine, but when I played that particular game, it would rarely make it past the menu screen without freezing. I'd keep an eye on your 360; make sure it has plenty of room to breathe and isn't overheating. That's been the cause of my last two 360 repairs. Hope you get this mess worked out.....I know it sucks, I've been there.

Thanks a lot for the advice Quick question though, If my 360 does rrod can i ship it to them without any problems or paying any type of fee? ~ Proud Supporter of the Child's Play Charity! | GTANET + Child's Play ~
GTA_getaway_driver
No problems with my disk, and I have a 360 aswell, I think Bestbuy received a batch of disks that had programming errors. Ive beat TLAD ands just began TBOGT and had no problems.
RomanViking
mr.e, if you have a warranty they're repair it for free. I think they send you a box and UPS picks it up, that part might also be free but I'm not 100% sure. Don't be sending it in for repairs unless it actually does the RRoD though! If all your other games are working, it's just the Episodes disk with this huge blotchyness, it's obviously a problem with the disk. I hope things are worked out for you. And I hope my Amazon.com disk arrives without these issues.
mr.e
Well heres a quick update if anybody else is having the same problem...i returned it to best buy yesterday and the manager went through the whole batch and all of the disc had the same blotch. He said it was probably water damage so he refunded me my money..I went to gamestop and figured i would buy a copy from there and waddya know!? SAME DAMN BLOTCH but it was a lot less noticeable than my previous copys..i said Fck it maybe it might work...Went home popped it in and i got the same freezing issue. Now i know for sure it has to be my 360 because the person in gamestop said they had 0 returns. So i duno...... ~ Proud Supporter of the Child's Play Charity! | GTANET + Child's Play ~
Konflikt
Dude, can you install it to your hard-drive? If so, then you won't require the disc to run when playing, meaning that hopefully it wont freeze.

Then when it froze i uninstalled it and tried running it off the disc and it still didnt work. My warrenty on my 360 is long over and im afraid that if i just purchase it off xbox live i would get the same issue..only this time with no refund!! ~ Proud Supporter of the Child's Play Charity! | GTANET + Child's Play ~

You should just go to other stores and find one that doesn't have that blotch.

You need the disk, if theres any errors on the disk then basically your just download ing the same errors.....and you need the disk in the drive :|
