SIKKS66
Yay @ Die Hard game lol. Even though I could never understand number 3 when I younger lol. Shadow of Rome was truely epic and should definitely get a remake.
Canoxa
I say this in every sequel topic, and people do agree. Hogs of War 2, please!
oc student
"Hai guise, I can haz remake?" COD 4 next gen. I think this topic was more geared towards old games. The game is absolutely fine, I don't see why COD4 would need a remake already, it's the dumbest thing i've ever heard. What you should be looking at is maybe Call of Duty 1 or 2... but 4? And graphics matter... why? They're not even 3 years old, people like you would probably get retarded from playing a NES game. Seriously dude. By the way, the words "Next-Gen" mean next generation, as in; the next line of consoles. Not current consoles, they are current-gen. Calling the Xbox 360 or the PS3 "Next-Gen" is really quite idiotic when you think about it. Xbox, Playstation 2 and Gamecube are last-gen. Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii are current-gen. (Theoretical names:) Xbox 720, Playstation 4 and Wii 2 are next-gen. And the graphics have absolutely nothing to do with it. Basically, you're asking for remakes. One of those little things that have always bugged me when people refer to current-gen consoles as "Next-Gen". Hey where in my post did I mention the crapsoles being next gen? I didn't. So you're the idiot for putting words into my mouth. Sheesh. And actually you're wrong again. The next gen wouldn't refer to consoles, they would refer to PCs as they are always the more advanced. COD 4 would be much better if it had better graphics.
Reconite
COD 4 would be much better if it had better graphics. This is what I was talking about, graphics whore. COD4 looks fine. I fail to see why better graphics would make the game better at all... and the idea of them remaking a game that came out 2-3 years ago (which is still a perfectly fine game) is completely dumb. Mainland Marauder
Some ideas... River City Ransom/Kunio-kun - Bully was kind of close though. Rampage - done right, fully destructable and realistic American cities in sandbox style. GTA meets King Kong. I know it got a recent "update" but it wasn't that great. As much as SquEAre keeps milking the Final Fantasy VII cash cow, why not FF6? Though somehow I'm afraid they'd ruin it. You know, come to think of it, most times they revive an old game/franchise and make it "next gen" it sucks. Mainland Marauder
Bionic Commando had some potential - grappling hooks in a 3D environment could be very cool - but why even bother with Bomberman? That's like trying to "next gen" Pac-Man. Forget it. No matter how nice it looks I'd just as soon play the original. Really it seems like they just rely on the name and turn out a piece of crap that people will buy because of what it's called, and the kids who don't remember the original game will see it for the turd it is right away. Oh, but then there's the obligatory "well, we'll throw the original game in there, maybe as an easter egg, for old times' sake." And it's probably the best part. Don Garcia
Oh, but then there's the obligatory "well, we'll throw the original game in there, maybe as an easter egg, for old times' sake." And it's probably the best part. And that's pretty much what you've paid for. I would also like to throw in PS2's The Bouncer. Anyone play this? Was one of the first games for the PS2 I ever played, and I fell in love with it. A beat 'em up with heart.
agincourtsalute
Manhunt would be good with R.A.G.E they could make it look quite realistic but it might just end up being banned.

I agree that Bionic Commando had potential, but GRIN didn't know what they were doing when they were bringing the series to a 3D environment. The game is buggy as sh*t, really bad controls and there's almost no replay value because you can't get the collectables if you go round again after your first completion, you have to delete your save file completely and get it all first time round. And now GRIN is dead so there's no patches for the game coming either, I wish they stuck with their Bionic Commando: Rearmed gameplay. Why in the hell did they give Nathan Spencer brown hair and Dreadlocks!? As for Bomberman, I think the reason they made him so different was to appeal to the "HARDCORE, DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE, OLD BOMBERMAN LOOKS GAYYYYYYY" kind of gamers. As it was exclusive to Xbox 360 and was probably thought like it would never sell on that console if it was to have the old Bomberman (though it probably would have sold a lot better). Act Zero is a f*cking disgrace to Bomberman games... I remember playing Bomberman 64 when I was younger and it was an awesome game. Really it seems like they just rely on the name and turn out a piece of crap that people will buy because of what it's called, and the kids who don't remember the original game will see it for the turd it is right away. I assume you're referring to that shoddy skin unlockable in Bionic Commando if you bought Bionic Commando: Rearmed. SIKKS66
<SNIP> The Bouncer was a game I always wanted to try cause Square did it lol. I got my PS2 a while after it was released and never got round to buying it. And Canoxa, I don't think modern gamers would have the patience for Hogs of War in all it's turn based strategy glory Even if it was epic. I do agree with you however. Tommy's Trotters and Piggystroika FTW!

Reconite
By now, everyone knows Half-Life and Blue Shift are getting remakes (Black Mesa Source and Blue Shift Source) but I want an Opposing Force remake. My favourite Half-Life game. EDIT: Wait... what? How did this get by me so easily? Edited November 6, 2009 by Reconite

Seddo
Tenchu could use a renewal. If done right. The first few Tenchu's on the PS1 were bloody awesome and it gave us something new in the gaming world, the couple on the PS2 weren't bad. But Tenchu Z, don't know what the hell they were doing but it was sh*t. The games series seems to have gone into a steady decline since the change of developers.
