Hey guys. Since i've beaten IV and TLAD the first time through, my second go through, and now with TBOGT i've decided to only use manual aiming. it makes the shootouts longer and more intense and generally increases the amount of fun i have playing through the story. just wonderin who else out there does this.

yeah i've always used the manual aiming for story mode. it makes me enjoy the game more. makes it a little more difficult. however, it makes it alot harder to get 100% on these new missions, because with manual aim, i tend to move slower through the gunfights and try not to get shot. a little more tactical. so beating a misson within the timeframe becomes harder. with auto aim, i tend to just run in, guns blazing. i'm sure i'm in the minority, but i just enjoy the game more without auto aim. and for me, enjoying the game as i play it is more important than achivements or 100%.

I'm ashamed to admit that I had to use it, it was too hard without it. But on my second playthrough I'm gonna turn it off. I however NEVER use autoaim when I fool around in the game, I do it on missions though

There's nothing to be ashamed of, I sometimes use autoaim and sometimes I disable it, because with autoaim you can finish the missions much faster, and sometimes you just want to see what's gonna happen next in the story and those shooting takes too much time in some particular missions.

Yeah, and especially in TBoGT you need to finish the missions fast to get 100%, so it's a pretty good reason to use AA too.

I find it too iffy to hold the trigger down half way. Whenever I wanted to manually aim it would just snap onto someone anyway.

I hate that sh*t... especially in firefights when you are shooting/aiming at the person with the best weapons yet once you want to take him out you lock on to someone else.

Mostly in the meantime you get sprayed/blasted by the fella you wanted to kill. FRUSTRATING... yet I haven't played that much of GTA IV (TLAD/TBOGT) on xbox360.

I mainly Auto-aim but tap it towards the head, but I do a lot of manual aim and grenades are always manual for me.
