looool guns...

I wish they were legal here, they sound more fun than air rifles and shotguns...

Everyone loves gun porn. I just wish I could find a cheap USB cord for my camera, my rifles are collecting dust right now, I could at least take some pictures of them.

Oh yeah, I forgot to ask, how much did you shell out on that Kalishnikov?

$300. It was a pretty good deal at the time. I just wish x39 wasn't so f*cking expensive down here.

How do those things fire? Is the recoil sutble or pretty crazy as portrayed in the media?

I wouldn't know how machine guns fire, I've fired plenty of rifles and a Magnum 357 thoug.

It's not full auto. The recoil on x39 is more than manageable, but then again I must have put 1500 rounds through this thing in a weekend. If you're firing from the hip and just spraying, then you won't hit sh*t. Aimed shots (even for a "inaccurate weapon system") always win, though. I think the best group I ever shot was maybe 4-5 MOA, but it's probably capable of better with a bench rest or optics.

OK, thanks for clearing that up for me icon14.gif .

Taste Of Chaos

Well, thanks for the helpful feedback. Just wanted an answer.

I thought it would suit here better than the airsoft topic. Or should I bump that one too? wink.gif

Firearms and airguns are far from similar. It would indeed be better suited to the airsoft topic, since this topic is only applicable to you if your pellet gun somehow uses gunpowder to launch the pellets at the intended target.

Oh, and if you wanted an answer, why didn't you ask a question?

f*ck...

I ment to add "Was it?" to that last line. My bad.

I've always seen airguns to be more than bb-guns tbh, but it looks like i'm outnumbered on this one. Just my perception of them really.

@alx-dnr: They are legal in england. But you need to have 3 totally unmovable safes in your household. One to hold the gun, One to hold the firing pin, and one for the bullets. On top of that you also need a Gun License and f*ck knows how much they cost.

My friends dad has some kind of rifle (illegally mind). He bought a scope for it and we were out on one of his mate's Farm shooting targets. Me, in my infinate wisdom thought I needed to put my eye right up to the scope. I'd never used one of these before and I thought I was doing it right, I pulled the trigger. Unfortunately I forgot about the recoil...

Looked like i'd been attacked with a coffee mug for a week after.

Opportunity knocks once in a lifetime, temptation will lean on the doorbell.

Wrong, You only need one safe.

You can store weapon's with firing pins/bolt's intalled in the weapon.

You were correct though on a seperate safe for holding ammunition, but that is only applicable to rifle ammunition.

FAC certificate's are'nt expensive either. Around £40 if I remember correctly (it's been a few year's since I last renewed mine)

Indeed. I broke down and bought a WASR a couple of weeks ago, and the damn thing was close to $500 after tax. Prices are a little lower online, but after shipping and transfer fees, it's hardly worth the risk of getting a crooked front sight or tube. Prices are only going to get worse because people are buying them up almost as fast as shops put them on the shelf.

Now I just need a new stock, as it appears that Romania is populated by midgets. tounge.gif

Just picked up a Henry Repeating Lever action .22 for plinking. This is an extremely

well made little gun and fun to shoot. It will fire shorts, longs, or LR's (15-LR/17-L/21-S)

making it a versatile little sh*t to boot. 100% made in the USA.. Brooklyn NY no less. Beautiful.

I was originally going to say f*ck it and get the GSG5 from buds, but at the $500

price tag I figured why not just pay an extra $50 and get a dedicated upper for my AR

chambered in .22 then eventually get a dedicated lower for it, then eventually... AGGHHRR!

Well, I got some extra money from selling some of my toys I've not touched in a few years. I picked up Beretta 90Two Type F from a local gunshop, and I'm getting a Pac Lite barrel for my MKIII. Why do I need another upper for a plinking pistol? Because this one is threaded. And has an accessory rail. And fiber-optic sights. Why do I need any of those?

Because Missourian FFLs can finally own suppressors. Even FFL03s (C&Rs) get in on the fun. So I got my FFL03, and put in an order for a SWR Spectre .22 can. I was going to get a YHM mite, but after seeing and hearing the two against each other, I'm fully convinced I should just spend an extra $150 and get the Spectre. I was playing with a buddy's P22 with it on, and using CCI subsonic was like listening to an airsoft GBB go off. Using the (rather dirty) CCI CB caps (no powder, just primer), all we could hear with hearing protection on was the slide cycling.

I'm not going to lie, I've always wanted a suppressed MKIII. MGS4 didn't help that.

Did you get the 9mm or .40S&W 90Two?

I remember a few years back when they first came out, I loved them. The classic 92 styling was always gorgeous, and when they put out the "futurized" 90Two, I was nearly obsessed with them. Computer wallpaper, read technical data when I was bored, then I remembered I lived in Canada and would only play with one if I shuffled through mountains of paperwork, or was hired by a police agency that issued them after graduating college.

If free health care wasn't so handy, I'd have moved by now.

Any pictures of it in action?

Edit: Some pictures of my own:

The magazine in the bottom right corner of the case is a G3 magazine. The other two came with the Cetme. I've got a box with about twenty G3 magazines that I bought from Cheaper Than Dirt. They work fine with the Cetme, which isn't surprising (the G3 was based on the Cetme after H&K bought the company). As for the scope, it's 5x magnified. I usually just stick to the iron sights.

Still no pictures of the D&W. I'll have some eventually though.

Nice. I've been thinking about picking up a lever gun (probably a magnum pistol caliber carbine), but with the way the election is looking, it might be best to build another eeeevil black rifle or two.

And on that note, the Obama camp is threatening to revoke broadcasting licenses of anyone who runs the NRA ads about him.

But, wait, there's more! His campaign is working with law enforcement in Missouri and threatening to prosecute his critics.

New Sig, Anuj, or is my memory a sieve? I'm very jealous of the 90two. I remember there was some posting of those in here around the time they were coming out, I still am covetous of one.

I hear you on the AR-15 front, Illspirit. Not that I have to worry, yet, but it's disconcerting. It's wonderful that a brother got in and all that, but his firearms views are remarkably distorted.

Nothing new on this end; between looking at going to a different police department soon, moving up in rent, and looking into getting a new gaming system (I'm a predominantly PC gamer and I've been staring at GTAIV pictures here among other things for too long, while also staring at my original Xbox and my Mac {PC died on me a while back} and just sighing.) and discretionary money doesn't look like it used to. Still, I've got an eye on a Kahr that I've been wanting, buddy wants to sell. May trade a glock I don't fancy, or just cave into it.

OK, so I'm gonna buy a pistol that I can equip with a silencer. I would like something new, money isn't an issue. I'm gonna get it for Christmas altogether with tactical outfit, gloves, vest etc.

I would like some recommendation for that pistol.

And how much are the night vision goggles? I'm serious.

I just wanna have that stuff cause I like it, I'm not gonna use it unless I have to.

Any recommendations on the pistol, guys? I know a guy that can make a professional silencer. He was in the army, he's not a lunatic. I'm not a lunatic and I don't know any lunatics either. Just trying to justify myself...

No offense, but you honestly sounded like a child describing what you were looking for.

Why in God's name do you need a sound suppressor? Have you even considered what type of handgun you would like to purchase? Have you looked at any of the models, or any of the manufactures? And why do you need the tactical vest and such? Are you ever going to be using it for anything other than fun/practice at a range?

I use a sound suppressor so I don't need to use ear-pro when I shoot. It also pisses off neighbors less.

The tac vest and gear isn't quite my style though.

3 Lunatics in one sentence?

I wanted to get a supressor for my rifle for the same reason, I would like to shoot it more often, but its just too damn loud for where I live.

Good point, though, it would hardly be worth it here. I'd have to go through tons of sh*t just to be able to legally own a suppressor, let alone use it.

As for pissing off neighbors, both of my neighbors despise me, so... that's not really a bad thing in my case.

Me and my buddies are gonna use the equipment (other then firearms) in paintball courses . There is this huge forest just for paintball and there is money to be won too in tournaments. And I just want a suppressor because I like it (yeah, childish I know), nothing else to it. About a manufacturer, well, I like Beretta and...can you put a suppressor on a Glock?

FEG P9R pistol looks kinda sweet, I still have to check what they have at the store

Or this one cause I live in former Yugoslavia

CZ-99S pistol

user posted image

Type: Double Action

Calibers: 9x19mm Luger / Parabellum and .40S&W

Weight: 860 g empty; 1145 g loaded with ammunition

Length: 190 mm

Barrel length: 108 mm

Capacity: 15 rounds (9mm) or 10 rounds (.40)

What I've found about this gun

The CZ-99 pistol (also sometimes referred to as CZ99) was developed by the former Crvena Zastava arms factory from former Yugoslavia, now Zastava Arms Co from Serbia and Montenegro. The CZ-99 was developed as a service pistol, and is also available for export sales. The copies of this pistols were briefly manufactured in Israel and South Africa. In general, CZ-99 appears to be a good combat pistol, well made, relatively inexpensive and with decent ergonomics.

The CZ-99 is apparently patterned after famous SIG-Sauer P226 pistol, but with several modifications. The CZ-99 is a short recoil operated, locked breech pistol. Barrel is locked to the slide by single large lug, which engages the ejection port. The Browning-type cam system is used to lock and unlock the barrel from the slide. Frame is made from aluminum alloy, slide is stamped from sheet steel, with separate steel breech block insert, fixed by the cross pin. Double action trigger system, with external hammer, has an automatic firing pin safety, and ambidextrous decocker levers, on both sides of the grip frame. The decocker levers also operate the slide stop, reducing the number of manual controls. Pistol is also equipped with loaded chamber indicator. Standard version of CZ-99 has no manual safeties, but there also is a version with manual safety, mounted on the slide. This version is designated as a CZ-99S. Compact variant of the basic pistol, with shortened barrel and slide, is designated as CZ-99 Compact. Standard sights are of fixed variety, with white dot inserts, and both sights are dovetailed into the slide.

Don't be so sure there's nothing for you to worry about. Yea, you'll get an LEO exemption to any ban, but manufacturers will almost surely raise prices to compensate for lost sales. You'll also have to compete with the rest of us for pre-ban mags if you want to pick up spares through normal retail channels. wink.gif

But, yea, while Obama's positions are silly, he's a damn good firearm salesman. ARs and AKs are flying off the shelves faster than anyone can make them, and most of the big companies are in 60 day back-order territory.
