LostSoul 301281 Posted November 7, 2009 Share Posted November 7, 2009 I found the fight club pretty easy. The first few rounds, when you opponents are unarmed, just keep punching them. Don't try and use counter move so much. Just relentlessly attack them. In the rounds where they have weapons, dodge with A and then take their weapon using Y. Then just use their weapon against them until they're finished, and keep using it until the end of the round. Rinse and repeat until you've beaten everyone. The Capone Posted November 7, 2009 Share Posted November 7, 2009 Man, you could be moving backwards away from your opponent, and tapping "A" at absurd speeds - Still probably wouldn't be able to "dodge" most of the time, and then half the time that a "dodge" is successful, you attempt a "counter attack" and it fails! The hand to hand combat is sh*t. Doesn't matter if you're Niko, Johnny, or Luis - it is a failure. Also, every once in a while I can alternate between "punch" and "alternate punch" and it ends with Luis defeating the person with a headbutt, but it's very rare. I can alternate between the 2 punches, or do 3 punches in a row followed by the other one - but it's not consistent. All 3 characters are slow to react to my button presses too. Slamman Posted November 7, 2009 Share Posted November 7, 2009 I initiated the series of missions in the main game, but didn't persue all of them, there was no time for that with my rental, but I found after some trial and error, a two key button approach that kept the opponent off his guard and landed my punches, the third one you have to lose, to win the guy some money, so I let up on that hit combo, I was pretty sure it would work in any fight situation, but I can't confirm it, or recall what it was specifically, I was more in tune to watching the screen and recalling what combo worked, but it was two buttons in succession that I seem to remember, and dodging and moving around the ring. I didn't cheat by taking a break btw. my strategy for unarmed combat is to shove them first by not locking on and pressing b, then lock on and alternate between hitting y and b. RARusk Posted November 8, 2009 Share Posted November 8, 2009 I got a cheap tactic for you. When the round starts run up to the gate before your first opponent shows up. Stay at the gate, lock onto your opponent as he is approaching the gate, and do a single kick just as he reaches the gate. This will stop him, knock him back a step, and hurt him a little. When he starts moving forward again, kick him again to get him to stop. Your main objective is to prevent your opponent from entering the ring and use the gate as a shield to keep him from attacking. However, you need to be careful to not go through the gate too far or you will be disqualified. So measure your kicks when doing this. Every so often the gate will suddenly glitch as your opponent is trying to get into the ring and be knocked to the ground. If this happens and he is partway into the ring you can score an easy win by kicking him while he is down. If by some chance he enters the ring just mix some kicks and punches together. Even the ones with weapons aren't too aggressive so if you press the attack regardless of whether or not you managed to disarm then then you can easily kick their asses. They only give you 3 guys for each round, they heal you after each round, and they never put more than one guy in the ring to fight you at a time. Maybe I'm just really good at fighting and didn't know it, but common lol how do you have problems with this? 100% stuff I can see but this lol. I could see maybe losing once or twice when a knife guy comes at you and you get pinned but enough to aks for help? No offense to anyone just was amazed at people struggling with this. I guess we all have are own faults at this game in some way. i guess different people struggle with different things. in cage fighting i beat it on my second try, i had to do a second try only because of the fact that on my first try i literally pummeled a guy out of the ring right as he was trying to make his way in, and they disqualified me for stepping out. the second try, i won the title with more than 75% health still intact. super easy, even if you dont counter the weapons away from them. but then again, i find some of the 100% mission completions impossible even though its easy for others. and ive given up trying for now. If you're not allowed to use your own, why can they use theirs? It's frickin' BS and it's been pissing me off cuz every time I get to third round either the bat or the knife guy kills me. And another thing that pisses me off is that if the opponet leaves the ring (from being kicked out) they can just walk back in, but if you are kicked out or follow them out during the fight, you get disqualified. There is s simple loop hole, after each round if you are unhappy with your health, just press the button to spectate and bet. Then go back into the fight and you have full life. Thanks buddy, that helped a lot! I mean, of course it had to be tweaked, but... KICK (X), PUNCH, PUNCH, PUNCH (B B B), BACK UP, REPEAT Best strategy ever. I spent about 1 1/2hrs and just decided the only way I was going to get past level 5 was to do nothing but kick everybody's shins and not risk getting stabbed/pissing about trying to counter and getting locked into 3 right/left hooks that drain 50%+ of your health. Not everyone can even engage in the counter, once they move out of the way. So there are other options people! I tend to have a reputation to bust a few heads I love fighting people with bats because once the bat is gone they turn into little (bitches) and What I do to be a wayyyy good fighter.....go to bohan and every and I mean EVERY gang member you see start a fight with them (I like a little 4 way action (no homo lol)) like a jump in, but you kick their azz. plus I love when they start talking smack how can you not laugh when you hear "Mama huevo" lol Reasons to get BOGT Bathroom quickies Fight Clubs Dance battles with gay guys ooooooohhh yeeeeaa (no homo) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
