coffeebeans
I thought both DLC's were great. It gave me a new perspective on Liberty City; TLAD gave me that gritty, greasy feel while TBOGT gave a nightlife-oriented feel. So yeah obviously there were things that puzzled me, like Bahama Mamas only being featured in one mission despite it being hyped up. But whatever, I think the slew of new mini games, cars, weapons, graphics juiced, certainly make up for it. The one thing that I didn't like was: Where did Tony go? He suddenly vanished at the end of the game. I would've liked to chill with him, I thought he was a cool guy and I liked his suit with the little crown handkerchief. I thought it was strange that at the end of the game the title-character is removed from the game.. That's my only gripe.
liquidus119
I was slightly disappointed with TBoGT, but with the hype always comes disappointment. There hasn't been a GTA game since III that hasn't disappointed me in some aspect. The biggest problem I have is how nearly 1/4th of the missions require you to parachute to an objective in some form. It just felt repetitive, and it is insulting that all of the people who called GTAIV repetitive do not find this repetitive as well. It's like making six missions revolve around the NOOOSE Tank, or six missions revolve around the Buzzard. It just feels very tacked on, much more so than chasing and killing guys did in GTAIV. Then there is the problem with how they structured the missions. It felt like there was a little too much freedom in how you could choose missions in this, but that's probably just the nerdy timeline maker in me more than anything else. And I feel the story fell short compared to TLaD. It seemed like TLaD accomplished much more in 20 missions, but I don't think they were going for the same feel so I can't fault the game too much. Great game regardless. iiCriminnaaL
