Machida
I haven't yet gotten my hands on The Ballad of Gay Tony but to be honest I am sceptical about the new features added and have been since viewing the various trailers. The reason for this is I feel I've already seen them done to death in GTAs previous instalments. Most notably San Andreas. It was refreshing to see a game like Chinatown Wars come out and then introduce new futures in to the franchise, but it doesn't feel like that going to be the case with TBoGT. It is only DLC at the end of the day and it was never really supposed to open up any new directions, but we'll see I suppose. Perhaps the new engine will inject some life in to the old, time will tell.

Hove_Beach
are you crazy ? Il start your list with weapons - look at the differnce in weapons and weapon sets between the two. http://www.thegtaplace.com/sanandreas/weapons.php San andreas 1 - GTA 4 - 0 So now we're just comparing weapons? Well, OK then: Where IV beats SA: Cover System Improved Auto-Aim - 'Tweak' the aim a little while in auto-aim to aim at different places on body (such as head) Full weapon aim while in vehicle (Not just shoot straight left or right) Drop grenades out of vehicles Where SA beats IV: More weapons I believe the score is now: San Andreas - 1 GTA IV - 4 lol - what a great response - mmm - not !! I said start your list not "just" weapons so "fail" •Cover System Not the greatest - but new - granted and a welcome one to the series. On the other hand the cover system is not balanced as the enemy ai is "stupid" compared to older games and current games - ie metal gear solid - half life - far cry etc. enemies hide behind cover like they have glue on their feet - wtf ? •Improved Auto-Aim - 'Tweak' the aim a little while in auto-aim to aim at different places on body (such as head) mmm - auto aim was ported straight from manhunt with a little tweaks and minus the special kills!! nothing new there. and in terms of coding and freedom - again less on GTA V - No stealth what so ever - and yes stealth would be welcome to add to choice and variety of gameplay. •Full weapon aim while in vehicle (Not just shoot straight left or right - mmmm - not the greatest improvement. But granted a new one. except for all the new things R* added they removed a ton of other features to do with vehicles. Cheetah = cops in unmarked cars = spike strips - cops using floodlight in copter - cops using a variety of vehicles - rancher and bikes - and yes in new york they have cops on motorcyles and unmarked police cars - police randomly chasing peds down streets in on foot and in cars - etc etc •Drop grenades out of vehicles - mmmm - yes they did - but now we cant mod our cars or save in garages or choose colour of cars in pay and spray - id rather have those options. Selection and variety of vehicles has also been drastically reduced and they still havent fixed the ten year old "car spawning issue" dont see a infurnus for 100 hours but see ten in a row as soon as ur driving one in bohan -mmm - epic!!!! where is this list of yours = lol Edited October 29, 2009 by Hove_Beach

People whinned, and complained about GTA IV dismissing many of the features from past GTA games mainly SA, and now TBOGT is filling that void to a degree, and it's still not good enough? To be honest I think R* has given us quite a fair bit with GTA IV, TLAD, and now TBOGT. It's more than what most game companies do.

I'm not entirety certain what you're trying to say. Perhaps your post would have more merit if I, myself, was one of the critics who you so aptly described "whinned, and complained about GTA IV dismissing many of the features from past GTA games". Although I was not. Nor, I should add, do I know who you are. The direction of GTA IV felt new and fresh to me. For the main and barring few gripes, I enjoyed it. That's not entirely the sense of feeling I get with TBoGT. However time will tell, as I say I've yet to get my hands on it. I reserve my judgement. Hove Beach
I was very disappointed with tlad. The missions were so unrealstic, like the one where you ride with malk on his ride escaping the police?!(Sick!!), and the story sucked, the biker idea is great but they didn't take good care of it. The charcters was bad like Brian, Stubbs etc? sh*t. Tbogt is great so far and the reviewers are more positive to this episode than they were with the previous one... Every one on this forum is totally "extadic", don't know how to spell that word, and talking about how much better this is than IV which I don't understand. That, IV, game was 10/10 this one is to short to even be compared with IV. I'd say worth buying both because its gta even tlad is good in its own way, ONLY a few times during te story though. Its choking though how all these three games are so different even though they're in the same town, Libery city!
