Halo Jumps Anyone

I don't see how a HALO jump is any difference between using a parachute.. normally?

I mean, does 'Base Jumping' mean 'jumping from a building'. And HALO jumping means 'jumping out of a helicopter'?

What else is there really?

HALO is an acronym for High Altitude, Low Open. Which means you jump from a really high altitude and wait until the last second to open your parachute. It's risky but in war times it was used to land with no detection from the enemy. It was featured in the beginning of MGS 3: Snake Eater: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCwh9lDy5dc

"BASE" jumping and Using a parachute are two totally different things. BASE is an acronym for Building,Antenna,Span, and Earth. BASE=fixed non movable objects. Using a parachute aka Skydiving=jumping from planes, helicopters, balloons, etc etc. Those are you differences.
