I wanna f*ck, f*ck! *lalalala...* - Yeah good song brings back memories...

 

But I lolled when I saw the reflex sight on the silencer. WTF? Why didn't you add a RIS Rail to the Deagle?

Well something like that:

For a little secret mod I've been working on lately I made an Eotech Sight which I can add to the Deagle later on, the sight-on-silencer thingy was a mix of me being lazy as f*ck and a little idea of making it look homemade - Damn, I even wrote "EXHAUST blabla company" on the silencer to increase the homemade feel xD

 

Lets just say it's a modified exhaust... Or something even more innovative tounge2.gif

I believe the whole gun is made to make an feel od un-official made by some weapon smugglers, because of silencer (they aren't any official/legal etc silencers for Deagle) duck tape (highly feeling of unoficial) etc

Yeah I know, Deagle with silencer sounds weird biggrin.gif

Anyway any update on the G36? smile.gif

I've put that one a couple of days ahead as I'm just about to receive better tools to texture with (wacom) instead of mouse and keyboard - It's like a board you can paint on connected to the computer, much easier than a mouse as said!

By the way, is it possible to change something for not being wanted by the police after shooting with the silenced Deagle ? I mean, silencer is supposed to make it more silent, and everyone starts to scream and run around when I pull the trigger, like with the default gun (which is normal, since AI won't see a difference between modded gun and default ones).

Could be possible by taking advantage of the scripthooks out there - So if you find any programmer who's up to it we'll have "real" silencers in game too =)

A P90/MP5 doesn't have reflection in real life either, or maybe a little bit. They're just matte, not reflective.

My personal opinion is that most weapons dont look like mirrors, especially not the matte one's.. The revolver was the first weapon I applied a reflective material on, and the material came out waaay too reflective.

 

If you're on about it, test for example the mp5k ingame and you'll see for yourself that the material is slight reflective to it's surroundings..

I have found a very strange glitch with the mp5k anim....... I was modding my uzi with one of your mp5k models so that I could use the mp5k anim with the uzi ok? well I got it to work by using the same x.y.z as the mp5 no problem, and these are on some of my old save's but now when I start a new game the game crashes like i have the wrong anim..... any idea's as to how to fix this?

 

 

oh and do you think you can make a version of the G36 with a 100 round drum mag? like this one

cause you didnt add the Reflection At All you know what i mean right?

i can have 2 mp5 anim when i'm in the middle of the game but not at the start...

 

it's only on a new game that it does not work it works just fine tho on my older saves...

Check your eyes man, to remove the realtime reflection I need to actually REMOVE it from the material - Which I'm 100% sure I'd never do..

 

Check the vids' better, or do a quick test for yourself - Set time to 00:00>Go to a streetlight>Aim at it and move the camera around>The "moving" specular highlights on the gun is, as much as I know realtime.

 

I must admit that I refine the texture by adding some highlights/shadows, but I don't remove the realtime specular - I define it by using specular maps..

 

About the G36, learning to texture with my wacom just yet... Takes some time to get used to it!

Nope Its all about settings

It has real time specular highlight but not real time reflections you

I've been studying Zmodeler 2 which is can now manipulate without problems it has some weird and stupid errors but it runs just fine XD

 

 

gta_normal_spec = Bump and Specular Mapsgta_spec = Specular Mapsgta_glass = Bump and Fake Reflection (YOU NEED A REF MAP FOR THIS)and theres more alot more! 

 

 

For Cars to have Real Time REF you need Paint 1 or Paint 2

I haven't tried it for weapons but i once tried gta_badges and it gave a SM06 Error something

I'm pretty sure that when we get a 3Ds Max Script EVERYTHING will be MUCH MUCH MUCH easier IMO

 

I need to find an object ingame that has Real Time Reflections and import it to Zmodeler and see what kind of material name it needs to have

RT Reflections ill keep in touch if i can find it or you then we will have More AWESOME weapons than before!

Yeah, I haven't really thought about all this before - I'll make some test's and see if I can find any interesting!

You may look here for ALL available shaders in GTA IV - Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\common\shaders\db

 

There are a couple of shaders featuring "reflection"

Why the hell does a matt weapon needs reflection? It's not a 24" chrome rim, west coast style.

This is something stunning made. This is the first weapons released I have seen around here. I like how the texturing are looking and the models great shape. The icons are cool.

Good job with this. If I haved IV in my PC your weapons will be there.

Just so you know; I'm more than happy with my reflections on the weapons, they're not to much neither non-existent...

 

Haven't finished G36's yet, but I only got the texture left to do =) I finished up an additional version of the MP5K to get confident with the wacom (which I use to texture from now on), I'm not really used to it yet and this texture was just a text... But I like how it turned out! (The Stock/mp5K main gun is the old texture)

 

I've made this for a mod/movie.. Or whatever it was now again. It will be released to GTA IV in a month or something, I don't really know... Im tired, let me sleeeeep tounge2.gif

 

Btw, the "extreme" contrast on the gun is just a render artifact.. I made the light's too illuminated! And that part's from three different weps, it's a lie - It's only from two weapons...

It looks so dam great. Seriously, very great made.

From this picture I could say that is been taken from MW2 with printscreen, because of those great texture, rustly and all that effects in that model. Great work icon14.gif
