Kaiostar
I still think it is a bit stupid they drop the TANK from a helicopter and it lands on the road with no parachute or anything. I was also moderately shocked at how empty the roads were as well. Oh! because the roads are never ever clear
CharmingCharlie
I was just making a comment that I am not used to seeing the roads so empty (jeez shoot me for saying it). If you look at ALL the roads as Luis descends in his paracute you can see all of five cars on any of the roads:- That is a bit of a shock for someone like me that is used to seeing 40-50 cars on the road

Or maybe our experience will be much more different than that in the video.

Darkgamr
http://xboxlive.ign.com/articles/103/1038643p1.html IGN also wrote a page about the mission, confirming that you do shoot out the cables holding the tank to make it fall. And I'm calling it a tank because that's what the characters in game are calling it, I don't care what it would be if it were a real life vehicle. Another note would be that you're playing on PC.. But IV on 360 does have heavy trafic, maybe not as much as PC but still, more than on the picture so it's probably mission related or something

Cool, thanks for the link confirming my suspicions about that. And one for me: I also caught the fact in the write up that we get the money in our hands before we even do the mission. This would be a GTA first, would it not? Unless Yusef owed money to Luis from a previous endeavor. Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see how that really plays out. A lot of the gaming sites and magazines that wrote those hands-on previews have played that four-mission demo. Schweppez
LIberty City never feels empty to me, I guess if I played the PC version it would be a different story, then i would see the difference, but GTA 4 on my xbox looks fine to me. I think the spawn rates are just random, sometimes its light, sometimes theres heavy traffic. All i know is, after I'm done using the tank, there WON'T BE AN TRAFFIC AT ALL! P.S. The whole debate about the "Tank" "APC" thing is pretty stupid. It just reminded me of the argument Packie and Derrick had. "ITS PE-4! NOT C4!". Tank, APC, it's the same sh*t. If it was a demo, there would be no cars or pedestrians down there. But, who knows.

cheese eee
A possible explanation for the lack of cars is R* didn't want you to get run over right as you land to pick up the APC
Killerkevbua
I have an explanation. Think of it as multiplayer settings. You can have traffic high > medium > lowest. On missions, the game sets traffic down to low. I figured this out as I was playing through GTA IV.
botobotosouksouk
Maybe the traffic was low because the police told everyone to clear the streets because of a "madman" shooting at a police transport chopper.
