TBoGT Soundtrack discussion thread

Are RamJam and self actualization in the download version?

I've got the download, and no, they're not in the DLC version.

On the other hand, TBoGT songs are now on my GTA IV and TLAD games.

Is the Barrington Levy song actually "Don't Fuss Nor Fight"? That's the closest title match I can find at discogs.org.

Yeah, I've checked and you're right. But it's also called "(Sweet) Reggae Music".

Nevertheless, I still don't have a music link or anything to the song.

Seems legit.

OK so this is freaking silly ELFC has three exclusive stations according to the guy above. Not good Rockstar. Fair enough to add one station but why if you gonna make all three exclusive.

Anyway one question will I be able to listen to GTA IV original and TLAD content on TBOGT game? If so it will be cool as we will have like all three game's soundtrack's there. Some guy above confirmed on the previous game you can now listen to TBOGT, I dunno how valid that is, but please let us have Self Actualization and Ram jam.

Bring it on, only got 2 hours till I go home and play it, downloading in progress atm.

Yeah, that guy is me. And I've checked IV and TLAD. The songs are there. The original tracks and both music updates are on all three games. If you don't believe me, that's fine. You can find out for yourself.

But think about it, RamJam and Self-Actualization are just clones of Tuff Gong/Massive B and The Journey, respectively. There's no point putting it in the DLC when there are 3 existing stations that can fit the songs. EFLC obviously doesn't have the original tracks. So those two stations, along with Vice City FM, are there as a way to make up for the number of songs and stations that EFLC has.

The number of songs included in TBOGT DLC is similar to TLAD, but there are almost twice as many songs on EFLC as in TBOGT. EFLC's stand-alone soundtrack without exclusives would have matched the around-100-songs of full GTA games such as VC and VCS but the exclusives push it up to San Andreas-size.

I have almost everything in iTunes now and, depending on quality, the exclusive stations might have added 500MB to the download. Vice City FM is about half of that. I'm sure someone will check the EFLC disc and tell me I'm wrong, but whatever. I think it would have been hard to find the perfect compression level for everything in the game to cram it all into the 2GB limit.

Ok, please anyone confirm this:

EfLC DVD: if you install GTA IV game and EfLC DVD on HDD, we can listen ALL radios from any story (including GTA IV radios)?

TBoGT DLC: We dont get new radios, including Vice City FM? (but we can listen all radios and music from each story)

Thanks!

I am wondering the same as well..... seems like you should be able to do this. Really, what is the difference between what they put on the disc and what you get from the DLC (besides the three stations)..... EVERYTHING else should be the same so why couldn't installing the EfLC to the hard drive be the same as if you had downloaded the DLC (and thus all songs would carry over into the add-ons)

Can someone PLEASE confirm or deny the question?

Nope. Installing has no effect. There's no way to access the removed stations in EFLC.

Here is what I noticed :

I have GTA4 installed on hard drvive

The day that EfLC went out I installed it and played a bit TLaD and BoGT.

I noticed 2 new radios : Vice City and Ram Jam (reggae)

I also noticed that Tuff Gong, Massive B and Classics had diapered and Beat had new tracks

I played GTA4 and I had my old radios.

Today I bought and downloaded both DLC and on all three games I have originals radios with some new tracks at least on Tuff Gong and Beat

If you noticed on the previous page, it has been discussed already. But I'll bring you up to speed.

Due to licensing issues, EFLC does NOT have the songs from GTA IV. To make up for it, R* put three exclusive stations (Vice City FM, RamJam, Self-Actualization) there instead.

With the DLCs, all of the radio updates (from both TLAD & TBoGT) are added to the music and can be heard from all three games (assuming that you have TLAD as well).

Although it's highly unnecessary to most of you guys, I've created a "TLAD Soundtrack Discussion" to accompany this thread.

So if you guys don't have a copy of TLAD and want to listen to the songs or if you simply just want to listen to the songs overall, go to this thread.

Click Here for TLAD Soundtrack Discussion Thread

IDK about you guys, but hearing TLAD updates really shows the contrast of music between the two episodes.

I would just like to point out that the Miike Snow song on Electrochoc, Animal, is not the one that is linked in the thread. It is an unreleased Crookers remix that should be released soon with a couple of the other Crookers tracks that made it on to TBOGT. I love the Animal remix when you're in Maisonette 9, probably my favorite song in the entire game thus far.

To be honest with you, I think they just put the acapella of "Animal" over one of the songs (IDK which song though). The music listed on the EFLC instruction manual credits the songs as an acapella only.

Much like the acapella version of the Crookers song, "Put Your Hands on Me", was played over The Chemical Brothers "Nude Night".

The music on VCFM is a little disappointing, I was hoping for some music like on WAVE FM. But, the music is still pretty damn good.

Just a question... atm, I have both the TLAD + BOGT DLC, and the EFLC disc. The disc is a loaner. I only want to hear the new tracks... does the disc version only have the new tracks, or is there some gta 4 music on there as well? Are any of the songs in the DLC accessible in normal gta 4?

I'm disappointed they didn't include The Vibe as part of the stations on TBOGT disc...... would have been good music for the clubs.... R* is just being cheap with the licensing B.S. It is the SAME game regardless whether you buy it in the store or download it (and all using the original GTA IV engine and city) so it should ALL have the same content.

Like I've said before, EFLC only has the updated tracks from TLAD and TBoGT Only, along with three exclusive stations.

If you want the songs from GTA IV, you get the DLC then. You won't get the three exclusive stations, of course, but all of the songs from IV, along with the updates from both episodes, are accessible in GTA IV and TLAD (if you have the DLC).

Unfortunately, this has been discussed. Multiple Times. bored.gif

This is the last time I'm gonna say this. Vice City FM and the two stations are only on EFLC to compensate the fact that none of the songs from IV are on the disc.

The Vladivostok update consists of UK House songs. It wouldn't have fit with ElectroChoc, especially since the Crookers already have their list. Vladivostok was the only station that can fit there (even if it didn't). But with that being said, Vladivostok is now just an all European radio station.

You don't get the new stations with DLC, instead we get continuity by having the rest of the soundtrack from IV, which EFLC buyers do not get, bottom line, we all lose, Rockstar gets money.

Oh my god Vice city FM has a song from Level 42, that's f*cking cool, my dad is a fan of Mark King and Level 42, I'd never expect too see them in TBOGT

The song "Something about you" is a great song too!
