CookPassBabtridge
Vicke Of course the disc version has music from IV, otherwise people would be driving around with one station. Its not win win at all, theres a handful of people on here gullible enough to buy a game twice for a radio station, but the 90% of others refuse to be ripped off. Pumpkin Zone
the EFCL disk won't have any music from the original GTA IV. What in gods name are you talking about? Yes it does.
a3HeadedMonkey
It's actually a win win situation. As someone who already has Microsoft points ready, GTA IV and the Lost and Damned how is this win win? How has R* adding an extra station to the disk version improved things for me? We can also swap between GTA, TLaD & BoGT without "getting off our asses". I don't think this person really knows what they're saying. It's definitely lose lose. I also have the points ready & I'm a massive VC fan. This sucks so bad for me.
ObsydianRaven
Sorry for sounding like a prick but what do you all expect? Rockstar was paid a sh*t load of money by Microsoft to do this "exclusivity" bullsh*t. How much would you guys like to bet that GTA NeXt will be exclusive for XBox 360 because that's what I think is going to happen.

CookPassBabtridge
"Sorry for sounding like a prick but what do you all expect?" Dont apologise Basically we expect that we get the same content because we have paid the same money, and also supported the let down that was TLAD from day one. (IMO) Nobody expected an exclusive within an exclusive, that goes for your good self and anyone else who tries the 'told you so' line.

I don't think this person really knows what they're saying. He's talking about the DLCs, obviously, and how you can play IV and the two episodes without ever getting off of your couch or whatever. If you get TBoGT as the DLC you don't get the Vice City FM radio station, but neither do you get the other songs from GTA IV, nor the comfort of being able to switch through all of the three stories and multiplayer modes without having to get off your ass. He is clearly saying that BoGT DLC customers DO NOT get the comfort of doing this. Which is why I said they don't seen to know what they're saying. The comment about GTA IV's radio stations being omitted from the disc version is a case in point. Either way, this sucks! The people getting this station are not the ones that would appreciate it the most. Hell, most people buying this disc will be like "Vice what? Never heard of it." This station is purely for the fans & they bought L&D before this disc was even announced. Not cool.
Scarface49129
yea this sucks if its only for the episodes from liberty city disc. can somebody try to get a update from rockstar about this matter.
ObsydianRaven
I believe that R* knows that there are a lot of GTA fans who want another game in Vice City, so maybe the people in charge thought, "Hmm, maybe those suckers will buy the DLC completion if we added an exclusive radio station that had something to do with Vice City?" But this is just my opinion.

CookPassBabtridge
Its pretty sad that with all the tech leaps made, like the HDD space for custom radio stations, that greedy devs have reduced music choice to yet more exclusivity horsesh*t. CharmingCharlie
I am just wondering here whether it is actually technical reasons why the Vice City station is being missed out of the DLC version. I remember reading that there is some sort of file size ceiling for DLC on the xbox 360 (imposed by Microsoft) and it is possible that adding the Vice City Radio to the online DLC would have made it break the 2gb maximum size. Either way it still sucks big time and it is a major blow to the DLC in it's downloadable form.

Magic_Al
It's been obvious since the advertising campaign started that Rockstar would really, really prefer everyone buy the disc instead of the DLC. But this exclusive radio station is a bad-faith move. Incentive? More like incitement to riot. If the two DLCs didn't cost as much as the disc it could be justified. A mitigating factor would be if it turned out EFLC does not contain all the music from GTA IV. That would leave EFLC with a soundtrack consisting of only music introduced in TLAD and TBGOT. Before anyone dismisses that as impossible, keep in mind that would still be a soundtrack bigger than GTA III and comparable to Vice City, more than enough for the length of gameplay in the episodes. I haven't seen confirmation either way about the returning music issue, has anyone?
General Goose
Hopefully R* will at least release it as a separate little add on. It'll be win win that way.

buffalosoulj4h20
Good thing I never purchased TLAD. It pays to be patient. Now I'll just get the disc and play two games that are foreign to me with Vice City FM. I also remembered the ''Rockstar has given in to the masses'' thread . They are in the end a company. I always hated the idea of downloadable content. I remember back in the day when we paid $50 for a full game about each year and awaited for another full sequel. Magic_Al
They probably couldn't even fit VC FM on the DLC data limit. We'll be able to judge that when we see how many songs there are compared to TLAD.
buffalosoulj4h20
What's the name of the second song they played? If you mean Vice FM it's ''"I Can't Wait" by Nu Shooz'' according to their list under the radio station.

liquidus119
Hmmm. I doubt they would have anything else be exclusive to the disk version, otherwise people would get quite upset (especially if they didn't make it known ahead of time) I'm not too upset. I would like to have it, but considering the amount of music we are getting as it is (plus the fact that I have a crapload of 80's music already on my Xbox) I don't really see this as a big loss. gamerzworld
Jesus. Has no one ever heard of royalties? While I too am disappointed that Rockstar chose to keep the station as a disc exclusive, it's not all their fault. Perhaps if enough people ask Rockstar for the station, they can release a separate radio station DLC to cover the royalties.
spaceeinstein
I don't get how this radio station is enough to justify to hate Rockstar. To me, one radio station is just one small part of the game that I can live without. I doubt most people here are huge avid music fans that "needs" the radio station. The game already has so much, compared to most DLCs out there it's already a bargain. It's already too damn late to change what we think Rockstar did.
