I really don't get why people care so much about the IV music. I found in TLAD it was a chore to sit through it all for the new stuff, so to have the stuff from TLAD, the stuff from TBOGT as well as what is sure to be my favorite station, that's absolutely great with me. That will easily be over 200 songs, it's not like there will be a lack of music to hear.

Without the IV music, you think there is still over 200 songs? Didn't TLAD only have like 15? Say the TBOGT has 30 (which it won't) that is only 45 songs. That IS a lack of music.

You are right though, I DO think it is a stupid dick move on Rockstars behalf, this is the kind of stunt I'd expect from Activision

Bingo. It's not the end of the world. But it's a little dick move I'd expect to see from Activision.

At least let us *pay for* the extra station through an additional DLC offering.

if this is true about EFLC not having IV's music... it makes me think what the conversation would be like if there hadn't been a Vice City FM. Everyone that had already purchased TLAD would get the download, no questions asked. I think (again, only if it's true that EFLC doesn't have IV's music) that it makes sense for them to include bonus content to compensate for the huge loss of great music. No LCHC? most of the good songs from LRR gone? all of those Radio Broker songs?!?!? etc. That would be hard to get used to.

The dilemma of having paid for a GTA game already only to have Rockstar come out with a better version is not new. LCS and VCS both got extra content when ported from PSP to PS2. Chinatown Wars got extra content ported from DS to PSP. All of those piss me off because in all three cases I got the former games only to be let down when later versions with more content came out.

I am one of those crazy fans that will buy all versions. I just haven't gotten around to the Stories games on PS2 or CW on PSP (actually i'm holding out for a PS2 version that may have even more content). I have III, Vice City and San Andreas on both PS2 and Xbox because the Xbox versions offer something slightly better - in the Double Pack's case it's better graphics (especially with III) and in San Andreas' case it's the exclusive instant replay feature and the fact that with all of them I can play music from the Xbox harddrive if I get tired of the in game radio.

I got GTA IV Limited Edition for a cool $90. Add $20 with TLAD and that's a $110 investment so far. add $360 for the 360 (because I bought the 360 JUST FOR GTA IV) and that's nearly $500 spent towards GTA IV. So I don't know. I'm in a real pickle here. Do I want to spend $60 to get the full experience? I don't now. I'm not rich. I currently don't have a job (had a job when I got the 360) so I probably shouldn't buy it at all. I'm thinking I'll get the $20 version just to start then get the $40 version sometime down the road. Maybe next year.

Like I said before it makes more sense for the EFLC to not have GTA IV's music than The DLC not having the Disks music.

Well that sucks, VCFM sounds like the best station of them all. I was on the fence on getting the disc since I already have TLAD, but I guess now I don't have much of a choice. They better put in some Wang Chung if I'm going through all the trouble with this.

I am pretty f*cking pissed off with this sh*te decision from rockstar. I bought TLATD on day 1, & now to get what will probably be the best station in the game I have to buy it all over again, absolute sh*te. Honestly, who dreams up this bullsh*t. In my opinion Vice City had the best game soundtrack of all time, have a wee chance to relive the series crowning glory (again, my opinion) then they shaft us at the end. f*cking pish, sort this sh*te out. I am not buying it again.

I'm guessing that you didn't read the last 5 pages. There is one little twist on it.

According to GTA4.net:

Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony features a variety of soundtrack updates. A new bonus station called Vice City FM is available exclusively on the Episodes from Liberty City disc, to compensate for the absence of Grand Theft Auto IV's music (each track would have to be re-licensed in order for it to be included on the EFLC disc).

Whatever this is true or not has yet to be confirmed.

so, is it possible to listen to the GTA IV Radiostations in EFLC in case you own GTA IV/have it installed on your XBOX? I just dont know whether to buy EFLC (and pay for TLAD once again) or download BOGT via Xbox Live. confused.gif I'd like to listen to VICE FM but dont want to miss stations like 'Liberty City Rock Radio' and 'The Journey'.

unfortunately R* has yet to answer any of the questions being asked about the radio stations, and this leads me to believe that the speculation is true (EFLC will not have GTAIVs music, and the BoGT DLC will not have Vice City FM) which means you get screwed either way. I refuse to buy either one until i know exactly what I'm getting.

LRR will still be on the disc, but only the songs that were in TLAD. And let's face it, they kicked the crap out of IV's soundtrack anyway.

Here's the tracklist from TLAD...

The Beat

# Busta Rhymes featuring: Young Jeezy & Jadakiss - "Conglomerate"

# DJ Khaled featuring: Kanye West & T-Pain - "Go Hard"

# Termanology - "Here in Liberty City"

# Kanye West - "Love Lockdown"

# T.I. featuring: Swizz Beatz - "Swing Ya Rag"

# Busta Rhymes featuring: Ron Browz - "Arab Money"

# Monotonix - "Body Language"

# Game Rebellion - "Dance Girl"

# The Jane Shermans - "I Walk Alone"

When you look at it like that, it looks a lot doesn't it? And that's not counting the new songs being added with BoGT, including VC FM.

Besides, when I was playing TLAD & a song from IV came on, I was a bit pissed. I wanted to hear the new stuff, not the old stuff I've heard too much of anyway. With EFLC, all you will hear is newer stuff. Great imo.

Unfortunately, I also bought TLAD DLC, so I'm kind of priced into buying BoGT DLC too & I want BoGT's music appearing in GTA IV when I decide to play Niko's story.. But I will get the EFLC disc as well though... maybe over the weekend. I think the disc version is definitely the way to go if you've already played IV to death & just after new stuff.

It will cost me a lot buying all the DLC & the disc, but at least with the DLC on my HDD, when I play IV, all the songs from the DLC's will be mixed in with the original soundtrack.

Ultimately the best thing would be for Rockstar to release Vice City FM as GTA IV DLC #3, which would add the radio station to GTA IV whether or not the user had bought other DLC. That would justify charging a little something for it to cover the licensing cost, even though people would bitch about having paid for both DLC or EFLC already.

Rationalize the cost any way you want. Say that TLAD is old, so it's really only $15 of the $40 cost of EFLC, and TBOGT costs $20 and Vice City FM costs $5. Whatever.

Or an even crazier idea would be to have DLC #3 be a radio update containing all radio from the Episodes, Vice City FM, and exclusive content that's new with the download! Then it might cost even more but that would give Rockstar an incentive to do it. The main buyers would be people who bought EFLC instead of Episodes DLC, who want to add that music to the original GTA IV.

Absolutely. That would be perfect for me. I wouldn't have to buy EFLC & I'd also be ok about paying for the Vice City FM station as a download. As long as it would appear in IV's soundtrack like TLAD music did, that is.

The best thing about the music & the DLC up until now, is that it is backwards compatible for want of a better way to put it. Being able to hear all the music, no matter what game/episode I was playing was perfect. It's only the arrival of VC FM & EFLC that's put a spanner in the works really. If you own GTA IV & own EFLC, not only will you not hear IV's music in EFLC, you wont hear any of the music from EFLC in IV. If you bought the DLC's though, you do get that privilege... but you don't get VCFM. It's a double edged sword & nobody ends a winner if it gets left like this.

If R* announce VCFM as a DL for us, I will be ecstatic. That would be the perfect solution to the problem.

As for the problem of people owning the EFLC disc not getting IV's music or IV's radio stations not getting EFLC's music; R* could easily patch it so if you had both the GTA IV & EFLC discs installed on your HDD, it would let the games share the music files.

DJ Paul should be on his own radio station instead of on Vladivostok. I like the idea behind it since it reminds me of RISE FM, but it's out of place on the station they put it on. I was really hoping for some new Eastern European club songs in TBOGT, too.

The Notorious MOB

I think it's been confirmed (in a thread full of spoilers colgate.gif) that no GTA IV Music is included in EFLC.

So all you get is the New TLAD Music and The New TBOGT Stuff plus three new stations.

With that said... I'll be downloading TBOGT.

After I, along with many others, contemplated suicide because IV music would not be in the EFLC version of TBOGT, I decided that it makes sense.

Maybe the original music from IV deserves to be in IV alone. The feel of TBOGT is different enough to get completely different music.

Of course, I might have just wasted time telling something you could have figured out yourself. bored.gif

Just heard on the spoiler thread that the music from IV is in fact in the disc version. So its back to the downloaders being shafted.....

I dont know what to think with this now. I am starting to feel that DLC is a crock though, I mean, people buying disc have got it 2 days early and with an extra station. suicidal.gif
