I would not take it as gospel, just because it is on GTA4.net. I don't see a source for their claim anywhere on that page, and it could be speculation as far as we know.

You can allways just get that station from somewhere else if you know what im getting at.. There is a whole lot of music in GTA IV, being tired of such an amount of music would be strange. I think it's fair that we are getting everything in one and they are getting something extra (or we are getting something less..). Hey, maybe we're even getting an extra bit of content since this opens up some extra space..(probably not)

That is hardly an ideal or LEGAL solution since you would have to use the Xbox's built in music player which I understand has limitations (like playing the music whilst you are walking through the streets). I don't see why purchasers of the EFLC should be "rewarded" with extra content ? After all it is a pretty damn cheap solution you don't even have to buy GTA 4 to play the EFLC. However you do have to own a copy of GTA 4 to play the DLC version. So to sum it up :-

 

GTA 4 $60 + TLaD $20 + BoGT $20 = $100 spent and you get less content

 

or

 

EFLC disc $40 = you get more content in the Episodes than some one that blew $100

 

I don't see why EFLC purchasers should be rewarded or "compensated" over those that got behind Rockstars idea of the DLC and bought TLaD on launch.

 

 

Why would it appear that you're only a true GTA fan when you buy the disc? We have all the radio in one game. They only have one extra station that doesn't make any sense anyway. Okay, they are getting the boxart and the map, but we knew that allready..

Who says EFLC buyers didn't move 100? Maybe they just didn't play TLaD. They are getting compensated because they are getting screwed over by this. But obviously that's not the real reason. To believe that would be naïve. They are getting compensated because Rockstar is a business, and they want us to spend 120 instead of 100 by trying to make us feel like we're not getting the full experience. But you know that.

No, The episodes will not be coming to the PC because Microsoft already paid for it to only be on the 360, and ONLY the 360.

 

I wish I could get them on the PC, I really do, I would actually remove my pirated copy of GTAIV, Buy a real one, then buy the Episodes.

I will probably buy the EFLC pack even though I bought TLaD over the marketplace.. I don't know if it's just me, but i'd rather have a physical copy than one I can not hold in my hands..

 

I also saw where people think that Vice City FM is a hint, and I must say that I hope so as well. That or go back to where they haven't returned yet. GTA: London on these next gen graphics would be pretty entertaining.

On Topic Even if EOLC isn't getting the GTA IV music so what why should they get music they aren't paying for. If I pay for the both DLCs I'm paying the same price as the person who buys the disk and therefore should get the same content. GTA IV IS NOT INCLUDED IN EFLC FFS! Stop including it in the price of the DLCs. GTA IV is pretty much like a separate game.

 

I still say Download is the way to go, because you get to switch back to Niko's story whenever you want (A HUGE plus for me, you will eventually want to switch back to IV. Trust me, happened with TLAD, it'll happen with TBOGT. They're still awesome DLC's and make the game better, but after playing the DLC's for a while, when you go back to IV, it's like the feeling you get when you first played IV - amazement. Niko will always be the King Of GTA IV )

Sorry if I mistook your wording, but still, most people are aware of the need for profit. But there is a line between that and total greed. I did raise a chuckle on the 3rd page of this topic with all the facepalm pics, but when I think of how much money ive shelled on this DLC farce, the radio thing just tipped it for me. Ive paid the same as the disc buyer, but they get exclusive exclusive content. Yep, I have to write exclusive twice now.

i must admit that i have been very impressed with charlies/everyone else's non biased attitude in this topic, apart from the comment you higlighted, My point is that if you are a True GTA fan then you will want all this extra content just like me!

I really don't get why people care so much about the IV music. Because to a lot of people, the music in GTA games really sets the mood, that helped in TLAD with the Liberty Rock Radio update, hearing bands like The Doors when it's raining, Alice Copper when in a police chase, Aerosmith when riding with the gang, etc.

I don't know, after listening to the three tracks from VCFM on Rockstar's website, it's not really that big of a loss for me. Sure I'd like to hear some of Fernando's DJ-ing but I cant justify spending the extra $20.00, especially when I already have TLAD.

 

As for the whole DLC war:

I'm confident that you PS3/PC owners will someday get to enjoy the DLC's.....nothing stays exclusive any more(Just look at Metal Gear Solid for instance, or Bioshock). I know one thing, I'm green with envy about the "Uncharted" series on the PS3....that game looks so f*cking awesome.

What ever way you cut it, it is unfair to those that bought The Lost and Damned when it came out. They will have paid just as much (if not more) for this DLC and they are being denied content unless they go out and buy EFLC which contains something they already paid for. Now if Rockstar had been upfront from the start about this people wouldn't have a right to complain. But they weren't they made a big thing about the DLC being a "new innovative scheme" and then a year later totally f*cked it over by giving those that waited extra content over those that supported their "innovative scheme". I think it stinks personally but then nothing surprises me with Rockstar any more.

 

Oh and one last thing can we please drop the "will it come to the PS3/PC" stuff, this isn't the thread for it.

Why are you pulling GTA IV into this? Who says they don't have GTA IV. It's not about them missing the radio, it's about it not being available in the episodes. GTA IV itself doesn't have that much to do with it.

 

Second, aren't you making too big a fuzz about one radiostation that doesn't fit liberty city or the time slot anyway? You are overreacting.

But they weren't they made a big thing about the DLC being a "new innovative scheme" and then a year later totally f*cked it over by giving those that waited extra content over those that supported their "innovative scheme". I think it stinks personally but then nothing surprises me with Rockstar any more.

 

Oh and one last thing can we please drop the "will it come to the PS3/PC" stuff, this isn't the thread for it.

Hi Charlie, You are right though, I DO think it is a stupid dick move on Rockstars behalf, this is the kind of stunt I'd expect from Activision, only reason I said that really is to find a way to soften the blow, and even still, I expect them to patch GTA4 so the TV and Internet content will cross over all three stories.

 

I will be downloading TBOGT as I've already downloaded TLAD, it's just a shame that I wont get to listen to VCFM even though I've paid MORE for the content (DLC is equal to £28, where as EFLC is £25).
