Absolutely outclassed, running around trying to box with a proper boxer.

well I lost a bet with a friend my money was on Ronda he even told me she met her match

I expected Holms to be dropped and stopped quickly by an armbar, to be honest. As did most of the rest of the world.

After 1 minute she should have realised standup was a fools game for her, but her arrogance got her humiliated.

Sounds like a clever bloke, not many calling Holms despite her obvious talent.

Awesome.

I Love Anna Kournikova

Thats another thing I dont understand. I dont see why everyoen thinks she is hot. I will say she is nto ugly, but there are much better looking girls than her. Tate is better looking and Paige Van Zant is just flat out hot.

Anyway, Main Card last weekend was pretty bad. the Magny/Gastelum and Llamas/Sanchez fights were good but the TUF Latin America Finals were boring as f*ck. The Prelims were decent with Fili looking awesome and Jorgenson trying his hardest not to step on that left foot. but other than that, snooze fest.

Is that a sign of juicing? I had no idea. Don't know much about the testing or what is legal or illegal in the UFC. I'm ignorant to all that stuff lol.

Also, sorry for the typos in previous posts, I use my iPad and I never see them until later. :p

Yep I watched it live and I'm still in shock. All credit to Conor McGregor though, he talks a lot of sh*t but he's backing it up. To knock out the best featherweight in UFC in 13 seconds is some victory. I wonder what's next for him, probably rematch Aldo.

Anyone else not see McGregor's hit on Aldo live? I missed it it was so fast and was wondering what the hell happened lol.

Watched it live here in Dublin at about 5:50-6 AM. It only felt like a 6 second fight. Every time I watch it in real time, the left punch is too damn quick, it just looks like Aldo just falls over dead. The ref did more damage to Conor when he tackled him off of Jose.

Yeah I thought the same thing, like he had thrown the fight or something. Had to wait for the first replay to see the hit that floored him.

No idea why Jose Aldo went so offensive like that from the bat. Really bad move. Usually he takes some time to study the opponent and try to find his way in. I guess he thought he could get it over quickly? 10 years of invincibility down the drain.

It got to him, people were talking about how he didn't care about Mcgregor's trash talk, but it really f*cking got to him. He was stiff as hell, Conor's trash talk really did get into him. Once they were in the octagon, he proabably thought to himself that he could finish it easy.

Am I the only one who noticed they actually scored some 10-8's during the fights on the card this past Saturday? I think they even scored a 10-7 round in there as well. You don't see that too often so I'm curious if we might see the judges utilize a 10-8 rating more often, would make the decisions a little more interesting and potentially controversial, but exciting nonetheless.

Rousy losing was a surprise, but I don't care. I didn't really like her that much and thought she was too full of herself. I guess she really thought she was invincible or something up until that point..

Luke was impressive. Def earned ny respect. The beating he laid down on Weidman was crazy. And Weidman is a tough fighter.

As for Aldo vs McGregor.. man that was a disappointment.. I was waiting to see some intense fight. I felt sad for Aldo. That really must have hurt. For him and his team, coaches. ..etc.

Connor's knockout was flawless though. Without slow motion you really couldn't see it. I thought Aldo tripped or something at first glance. But yeah really wanted to see more out of that fight.

I think Aldo deserves a rematch. If Ronda is getting one, then so should he. That guy has an impressive record so I think he deserves it.

Connor is a skillful motherf*cker though. But still don't like the way he represent himself. I do think however that all his mind games are benefiting him. Aldo looked stressed on numerous occasions and at the start of the fight, the way he rushed forward like that.. it just seemed careless and unfocused. Like some one with too much emotions.

Not taking away McGregor's skill. But I do think him fighting at featherweight has helped him tremendously, especially since he is a boxer. His Size and reach advantage really made a difference. If you see all his opponents, including Jose. They all looked like children next to him. And I think that factor plays a huge role in boosting his confidence. I dont think he will have that advantage in the lightweight division.

Id like to see a rematch with Aldo, even though, I dunno if the UFC would be too keen on the idea. But him vs Edgar or moving up to the 155 would also be good.

But Aldo needs a chance to prove himself. At least so he can put a fight worth adding to his legacy. Even if he doesn't win.

It would be total bullsh*t if they give Ronda a rematch and not the same for Aldo. He had too much weapons in his arsenal that he didn't get the chance to use. So a rematch makes complete sense.

Flash KO's happen, not saying that McGreggor wouldn't have won anyways with how well he's been doing but Jose definitely deserves his rematch.

As for Ronda, the champion to me deserves a rematch but you could definitely make more of a case that she shouldn't get one than people are trying to make for Aldo not getting one.

If a rematch happens I believe it will end like Weidman vs Silva 2 or Barao vs Dillashaw 2, Aldo being completely f*cked up and then forgotten after that.

Not really, if he could put a decent fight then he wont be forgotten even if he loses. It would just mean conor is the better fighter. But it would be better than remembering him like this.

Aldo has no chance against Mcgregor. This fight showed it, it was no fluke, luck, training camp bullcrap, etc etc etc. Conor's calm stance against Jose's stiff muay thai showed that Conor is on another level. Do I wanna see another fight? Hell yeah, but I believe Conor would destroy him again. It's scary once you think about it - Conor predicted this so many times and then it happened in real life.

If Aldo didn't barge in like that, it would proabably still be a KO for Conor because Aldo would not be able to land many shots from where he was standing. Conor had a wide stance + southpaw, against a typical kickboxing/muay thai stance + orthodox. Aldo has the typical stance while Conor has a different one. He is also highly accurate in his shots while Aldo plays the typical Muay thai game = hit, get hit, hit, hit, get hit again, hit. I'm not trying to say Muay Thai sucks, it doesn't, but sometimes it can get rediculous with the way muay thai is handled in MMA.

And what if Aldo decides to play it smart and quickly go for a submission? His ground game is fantastic. And conor is the opposite. We've seen the mendes fight. Conor just relies on his great boxing and knockout power. And on the fact that he gets his opponents stressed and uncomfortable. They get arrogant and just wanna trade punches with him and never really go for what he is weakest at. Its conors gameplan, he relies on his opponents coming too aggressive, too angry and he picks them apart with his hand shots. I cant believe how no one in the UFC is seeing that. His outer personality makes most fighters underestimate him and think hes just talk.

Im not saying Aldo would win, I agree with you that if a rematch does happen. Conor has the better odds. But still you never know.. I mean who would have predicted it would be such a short fight?
