Haha i knew his cocky ass was gonna lose. He is notorious for beating cans & then getting his ass whooped by top 5 guys.

Yeah it sucks McCall had to pull out, , such an exciting fighter too.

Yeah we said that with the one fight card i forget which one and it ended up being better. You never know with UFC cards which one will deliver & which one will be a dud.

I want to see Hunt win because hes such a cool guy & hes been in the fight game forever but Werdum looked really good in that last fight against Travis Browne.

So cung le

Alan belcher

Brian Stann

Mayhem miller

chris leben are cans? He lost a split decision against Rashad (which he should have won) and got robbed against Chael Sonnen. A fight where if he won he would have fought Anderson Silva. Have some respect for a UFC veteran you bum.

Thats good to hear. I definitely looking foward to Frankie Edgar facing Cub Swanson this weekend. I believe that this fight will be FOTY. Both guys fight with heart, are tough as nails and well rounded. Im picking Swanson by split decision but Edgar is also equally as capable of winning too. The rest of the card is meh for me.

Pretty much sums up your mma knowledge if you thought that was going to be a close contest. That fight was purposely made so mcgregor would get the next title shot. When was the last time Cub fought a wrestler? Frankie was the worst stylistic match up for him in the division. Cub last 6 fights have all been against strikers. Last time he fought a wrestler he lost (lamas) and before that he lost to another wrestler (Mendes). You don't know sh*t about mma boy

Reebok and the UFC are joining forces in a groundbreaking six-year partnership that will see the global fitness leader become the exclusive outfitter and apparel provider for the world’s leading mixed martial arts organization.

The Reebok/UFC apparel line, which will include exclusive “Fight Week” gear, “Fight Night kit” as well as UFC fan gear, will be developed in conjunction with UFC and its athletes, including current Reebok-sponsored fighters Johny Hendricks, UFC Welterweight Champion, and UFC Lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis.

“This will be the biggest non-broadcast partnership that our company has ever signed,” said Lorenzo Fertitta, UFC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, “so it is significant.”

Outfitting-SneakPeek.jpg
The alliance between two global sports brands is similar to the exclusivity deals the NFL, NBA, Major League Baseball and other worldwide sports leagues and teams sign with well-established fitness companies, with a twist:

UFC will be distributing the vast majority of the revenue received from this partnership to the athletes, Fertitta said, and the company is investing in this platform to create long-term value in the brand and its athletes. What’s more, Reebok is pouring money into research and development of apparel and gear specifically designed for MMA athletes.

...

Athletes will be compensated for their compliance with the 2015 UFC Outfitting Policy by way of a tiered system based on each fighter’s ranking at the time of the event weigh-in, irrespective of broadcast type and placement on the fight card. UFC weight-class and pound-for-pound rankings are determined by a voting panel of media members who consider only fighters in active status in the organization.

What do you guys think about the new Reebok deal? I think it's a good idea. While some fighters won't like it, it'll allow the fighters to focus more on their upcoming bout. I also really like that pay will be based off of rankings. Maybe, they'll actually make title shots based off of rankings, as well. I can hope, right? Haha.

I dont know too much about it to be honest.

It seems like just another way for Dana White and the UFC to make more money and the fighters be the ones who get the sh*t end of the deal.

All that sponsorship money, will be gone for the guys trying to make it big in the UFC.

The rankings are usually horrible anyway so that will f*ck over some guys still.

what actually matters:

Athletes will no longer be permitted to have outside sponsor logos on athletic apparel during UFC fight week official events, including fight night, UFC-produced content or other official UFC events.
And individual sponsor banners will no longer be permitted for the walkout or inside the Octagon beginning with the UFC event on July 11, 2015, coinciding with International Fight Week in Las Vegas, Nev. The new policy will start the week of July 6, 2015.

Athletes can continue to maintain their individual apparel and non-apparel sponsors outside all UFC events, and existing or prospective sponsors may use an athlete’s name and likeness. But they cannot use UFC trademarks unless they have a direct commercial relationship with UFC.

So many MMA clothing companies are going to suffer from this.

Whats funny is that Tapout was such a huge part of the UFC that when the founder died in a car wreck, they put his name on the cage. Now its banned from the UFC.

Armin_Arlert_104

I think it's a great thing, too many fighters are getting screwed out of sponsorship money. John Dodson still hasn't got paid from some sponsors for his fight back in June. At the end of the day, most fighters seem to be happy about it, and that's all that matters. We won't see the real value of this deal until it's been in effect long enough, for fighters to react accordingly.

New topic: Who do you think is going to win? Jeremy Stephens or Charles Oliveira?

As much as I want Oliveira to win, I feel his poor striking defense, and Stephens' power, adds up to Do Bronx going night night. I hope he can bring it to the ground and run a Jiu-Jitsu clinic on Jeremy, but every round starts standing. I predict a first round TKO by Stephens.

Edited by Armin_Arlert_104
AceThaCreator

I think Oliveira takes it as well. Hes more of a technical fighter standing & on the ground whereas Lil heaven swings with bad intentions with every punch but he also has solid wrestling too. I see him winning via submission. I think Pettis wins his fight via tko in the later rounds & hendricks win via decision.

Armin_Arlert_104

Now I feel bad, that I don't have as much faith in Charles as you guys. Haha.

Brutal finish! There goes Gordon's momentum from TUF. Put a smile on my face, I didn't like him much on the show.

That kick was BRUTAL i yelled so loud when it happened live. Sucks that Rivera got screwed by the referee(eye poke) i think he would've took that fight via decision & i like Urijah and all. That choke by Pennington was crazy, talk about last minute.

SHOWTIME AND RUTHLESS!

I had it 48-47 Lawler.

Round 1 (Lawler)

Round 2 (hendricks)

Round 3 (Hendricks)

Round 4 (Lawler)

Round 5 (Lawler)

All Hendricks did was put his head in Lawlers crotch all fight. Tried to fight safe.

AceThaCreator

I know right that sh*t he pulled was worse than GSP. Now he will have a real fighting champion & he deserved the belt. Pettis looked sharp in his fight. He stay calm when Melandez put pressure on him the first round & bounced back and got the sub. Most of the other fights did not dissapoint at all, one of the best cards of this year.

I agree. How did lawler get the 49 though? I scored it the same as you but I wouldn't have been suprised if the 1st went to Hendricks.

I Love Anna Kournikova

I guess the one judge gave round 2 to Lawler. That judge is an idiot. Hendricks clearly won rounds 2-3.

when I heard that 49 score when Buffer was reading it I got pissed and started walking away. Then I had to do a Double take when he said New.

As far as Pettis, He is a stud. Everyone knows His stand up is awesome, But he has subbed Henderson and Melendez in back to back fights. That's not easy to do.

And I see Todd Duffe becoming a huge Threat Soon.

Did anyone else hear Hendricks Say he walks around at 215?! that is insane. 45 Pound weight cut?! get outta hear. Thats not even taking your profession seriously.

Also CM Punk is a joke. UFC lets some clown from WWE Come to the UFC with no experience or anything yet wont allow Undefeated Ben Askren even have a shot at the UFC because the level of competition he faces isnt good enough? Dana White is a f*cking Twat.

@ILAK yeah that was my same reaction too when i heard the 49-46 but he said new i was happy as f*ck, yeah im a assh*le for that lol.

As long as Pettis stays healthy, the skys the limit for him. Hes knocking off guys in whats imo THE toughest division in the UFC. I think that russian guy might give him the most trouble out of all of them due to his grappling & Pettis got taken down a few times in the first so if he keeps it standing he will win against him.

Honestly anyone is a threat in the HW division because all of them have one punch power & can end it easily. I feel that the division is anyones for the taken if Cain has to vacate the title & I think Dos Santos would most likely be champ if Cains is not in the picture but we'll see if he gets past Stipe who i think has improved alot. He needs to avoid that deadly overhand right from Junior.

DAMN i didnt know that he was THAT big, he's one stocky mofo. Problem with him fighting @ middleweight is that he would be too short & undersized.

The UFC is all about money nowadays & i look at it as nothing more than publicity for the UFC especially with the Macmahon/Punk drama. He will most likely feed him scrubs to build him up & then he will get destroyed to a top ten guy & then quit. I was somewhat of a fan of him in the WWE but hea in for a rude awakening.

He wont win a fight in the UFC. This is just some guy who wants to try the UFC and they are letting him do it.

There is not one other guy in the UFC with no experience. I dont think he wins one fight. I will be rooting against him just because the UFC wants him to win.

I Love Anna Kournikova

there are thousands of guys in the united states alone who train in MMA. a very small few are in the UFC.

I could see him winning a fight in Bellator against someone they pick up off the street. But The UFC doesnt have these no name slouches who have never fought before. And if they do end up getting someone like that, then UFC is making a huge mistake.

Armin_Arlert_104

UFC doesn't care if he wins. They're going to give him the same treatment Lesnar got. Sink or Swim, throw him up against good competition early. It's a win/win for the UFC. They get WWE fans and piss off Vince McMahon. If CM Punk loses, a former WWE superstar, gets embarrassed in the UFC, he wins, the UFC gets a new contender.

When it comes down to contenders nowadays, its all about whos the most marketable, it's a fact & thats how Dana White is now. Watch i bet MacGregor gets a title shot over Frankie. So Punk being marketable, you know with a few wins, if he does, will get an opportunity, is it fair..hell no.

people actually expected brock to do quite well in mma. The guy was a NCAA champion and a freak of an athlete. Based on that many thought he would have moderate success. Apart from the MMA purists who didn't want to admit it. Also, if he wins (which I doubt) how would that make him a contender? He will probably be fighting someone who is 1-0, 0-1 or 0-0 like himself. This guy is a cash cow gimmick. He will never be a contender in the ufc,

Rumor is he will be fighting Cathal Pendred. Pendred will kill him.

Anyway, Womens Flyweight Championship on Friday between Carla Esparza and Rose Namajunas. Im hoping for Rose to pull it off but I think Esparza will win.

Im more excited for the Saturday card anyway though.

Predictions people?

JDS over Miocic by TKO. But I am hoping to God Stipe can pull it off since he is my favorite HW.

Dos Anjos over Diaz by UD.

Overeem over Struve by Decision. Overeem is overrated but Struve has had a looooong layoff.

Gonzaga over Mitrione.

Jedrzejczyk over Gadelha

Moraga over Gates.

Saunders over Riggs

Varner over Dober

Brunson over Herman

Varner over Barberena

Michaud over Whitely

Kimura over Cejudo (if Cejudo can even make weight. But is at 135 now so shouldnt be a problem)

Birchak over Entwistle.

AceThaCreator

My predictions:

JDS over Stipe via rd 2 KO

Dos Anjos over Diaz via Una decision

Struve over overreem via split decision

Mitrione over Gonzaga via rd 1 KO

Moraga over Gates via una decision

Saunders over riggs via una decision

The rest im not too familiar with so i have no predictions for those fights. It's an ok card on paper, not as good as the past few but any card has the potential to be a great card.

Armin_Arlert_104

I got...

-Rose Namajunas over Carla Esparza. I won't surpised if Carla takes a boring decision though, I think she'll fight like she did against Tecia.
-Jeremy Stephens over Charles Oliveira. I feel Do Bronx's bad striking defense will set up the TKO.
-KJ Noons over Cruickshank. I won't be surprised if Cruickshank's able to pick apart Noons from the outside, but I feel he'll end up brawling at some point.
-Yancy Madeiros over Joe Proctor. I see Yancy winning a close fight, by decision or late finish.
-Randa Markos over Jessica Penne. I think Randa is too strong for Jess.
-Lisa Ellis over Felice Herrig. I just got a feeling.
-Tecia Torres over Angela Magana. I feel Angela has nothing to offer Torres, other than a reach advantage.
-Joanne Calderwood over Seo Hee Ham. I haven't seen much of Hamderlei, so I'm not sure on this one.
-Bec Rawlings over Heather Clark. I think Bec's pressure and combinations will be too much for Heather, but I expect it to be a back and forth fight at first.
-Alex Chambers over Aisling Daly.
-Angela Hill over Emily Kagan. I won't be surprised if it goes the other way, I just feel Angela's got a lot to prove, and she knows it.

I also got...
-Junior Dos Santos over Stipe Miocic. I feel Stipe's being overhyped after the Nelson win. People seem to forget what Struve did to him, and the overhands that Gonzaga kept hitting him with.

-Rafael Dos Anjos over Nate Diaz. Khabib aside, Dos Anjos is on a tear, and I believe Diaz will just be another stepping stone to a title shot.

-Stefan Struve over Alistair Overeem. He should be able to whether the storm and get a 1st or 2nd rd TKO.

-Gabriel Gonzaga over Matt Mitrion. I think Gonzaga's grappling will be too much for Mitrione.

-John Moraga over Willie Gates. I don't really know who Gates is, so this is more an assumption than a prediction, haha.

-Joanna Jedrzejczyk over Claudia Gadelha. I think it'll be a close fight, with Joanna taking the decision.

-Ben Saunders over Joe Riggs.

-Jamie Varner over Drew Dober. This should be an easy fight for Varner, but you never know.

-Ed Herman over Derek Brunson. Not too sure about this one, I fear Brunson might be able to outwork Herman to a decision.

I don't got predictions for the rest of the card, as I don't know enough about the fighters.

I Love Anna Kournikova

I want to watch the weigh-ins for tommorrows card today. I want to see Cejudo miss weight again and get fired on the spot.

For those of you who dont know, Cejudo was a former olympic Gold Medal wrestler who transferred to MMA. He was a flyweight for some small promotion but missed weight in 4 out of his 6 fights or something like that. The UFC signed him and he was suppose to fight Scotty Jorgenson at UFC 177 but again he missed weight by like 5 pounds.

Dana White told him if he wants to fight in the UFC he had to fight at 135 and here he is. I hope Cejudo gets his ass beat by Kimura. If the fight stays standing, Kimura wins. If Cejudo is able to take him down, Cejudo wins. Easy as that.
