I Love Anna Kournikova

Kicked him in the head hurt him and Bisping left his neck open and Rockhold got a hold of it. Submitted him by Guillotine.

Tonights Card is so horrible though. Since Mccall had to withdrawal becasue he got sick.

Only good fight is St. Preux vs Rua.

Next week is another sh*tty card except for the TUF Latin America Finale, Bermudez/Llamas and the Main event.

AceThaCreator

Haha i knew his cocky ass was gonna lose. He is notorious for beating cans & then getting his ass whooped by top 5 guys.

Yeah it sucks McCall had to pull out, , such an exciting fighter too.

Yeah we said that with the one fight card i forget which one and it ended up being better. You never know with UFC cards which one will deliver & which one will be a dud.

I want to see Hunt win because hes such a cool guy & hes been in the fight game forever but Werdum looked really good in that last fight against Travis Browne.

AceThaCreator

You were right that card stunk along with a 35 sec main event. Saint Preux made Shogun look lika a amateur. I think its time for Shogun to hang them up, he hasn't been the same since he lost the title to Bones.

AceThaCreator

Yeah i know, his knees have been bad for the longest time but when he was healthy, he was a straight boss in that octagon or pride ring.

Its good to see that the light heavyweight division is has some new up and comers especially with the fact that Jones cleaned the whole division out. Cormier will def be his toughest fight to date "if" they ever do fight. With Cain always being hurt and a possibility of him having to vacate the title or retires i could see DC moving up and gettinh the heavyweight strap instead. That division is completely dead.

I Love Anna Kournikova

I think DC wants to kill Jones. I think he will stay at LHW until he does.

And if he does, I think the only guy who gives Cormier a touch, besides Jones, Is Gus because of his reach and Phil Davis becasue he is the only guy who I can see wrestling with Cormier. I realize DC is way better but I think Davis could hold his own.

idk, maybe its just because I am a fan of Davis

I am hoping Rockhold can get a title shot after 1 or 2 more wins. Him, Belfort and Souza are all right there and with Weidman being hurt, iots kind of holding up the division.

AceThaCreator

Yeah they definitely got legit beef with each other unlike all of the other fake, staged rivalries in mma right now(Tito/bonnar & Bisping/rockhold).

Gus would definitely be a challenge for Cormier but he has manhandled guys the size of Gus in the HW division but Gus has durability and good standup too, and is dangerous on the ground with submissions. I would pick DC to beat him but it would be tough. However i feel like Jones has more diversity in his overall arsenal. He's dangerous pretty much anywhere although he just lacks KO power.

Im getting tired of these champions holding up the divisions, i want to definitely see belfort & souza next up. I actually think that both of these guys are capable of being champion more so souza with how good his submission game is. Belfort is so explosive and powerful, he got heavyweight strength with lightweight speed.

Thats good to hear. I definitely looking foward to Frankie Edgar facing Cub Swanson this weekend. I believe that this fight will be FOTY. Both guys fight with heart, are tough as nails and well rounded. Im picking Swanson by split decision but Edgar is also equally as capable of winning too. The rest of the card is meh for me.

I Love Anna Kournikova

Really? I think this is a good card. Especially for being free.

Main event is good just because of who is fighting. Should be a good one.

Green-Barbosa is going to be awesome. ANytime Barbosa fights its a chance for a highligh KO. But Green is the better fighter.

Benavidez is fighting and Im thinking he should handle Ortiz pretty easily.

And Paige Van Zant is fighting. Only 20 years old but she is very very good looking.

I guess im just too hyped up alone for just that fight. Fox cards usually deliver & i hope that Dana doesn't f*ck this up with giving his boy a shot over these two guys who are WAY more deserving at a crack at Aldo's title. Barbosa is definitely that dude, that one kick he landed on that one guy was NASTY!!!

That chick is way too cute to be fighting but im down with the female fighters in the UFC, they definitely bring it and they're fights are never boring unlike some of the lay n pray fights that we have to be subjected to.

I Love Anna Kournikova

She is a Sacrmento girl. Trains with Faber and all those guys.

As far as Barbosa and Green and Title shots. If buy Dana's boy your talking about McGregor, He fights at 145. Green and Barbosa are at 155.

Barbosa lost to Cerrone a few months back so he would need to do a lot of work before title shot talk. Green is in the mix though. He isnt losing and is coming off a win against Josh Thompson. However the Lightweight division is stacked with talent. Pettis, Cerrone, Melendez, Henderson, Dos Anjos, Nurmagomedov. All those guys are right there waiting for a title shot.

Then you have other guys like Diaz Alvarez and even Myles Jury who are right there also. Its easily the most exciting division.

I wish Chandler, and Brooks were in the UFC.

AceThaCreator

Yeah i was talking about McGregor getting a title shot over the winner of edgar vs swanson who are both on hot streaks right now and are more deserving.

Yeah the lightweight division imo is the toughest division in the UFC. Honestly i feel like the amount the talent that the division has, anyone could take it over. Everyone has a strength and weakness that can be exposed by any guy in that division. As great as Pettis is standing, he struggles with wrestlers but he does have a great sub game off of his back. Nurmagomedov I believe is the biggest threat stylistic wise because of his grappling.

yeah i wouldn't mind seeing those guys over at the UFC and add douglas lima to that list. That dude straight wrecks people & i feel that he could definitely be a top 10 guy in the welterweight division in the UFC maybe even top 5.

AceThaCreator

I agree with the above. I always felt that chandler was overhyped in bellator & if you watch him he pretty fights standing up in a line instead of using alot of footwork which brooks uses alot of. Both got great wrestling but i don't know how Chandler would fare against the elite strikers with great TD defense & range.

With Brooks, he seems to evolve with every fight so i think he has potential to be a top 10 for sure. I think Chandler along with Alverez should drop to 45 to increase their chances of being contenders because thoe 55'ers are TOO big for them. How can i forget about the pitbul brothers too, those guys i feel could definitely be top 5 in the batam & featherweight division.

Last nights card was pretty one sided with every main card fight having a dominant winner. Barbosa looked amazing and barely took damage against bobby green who i feel tried too hard to emulate the diaz too much in this fight. But boy does he have a chin, he ate some solid punches & kicks that would've dropped anyone. Frankie Edgar looked very strong in his victory and even look to improve his grapping a bit. He used great footwork to frustrate cub and then when shoot for many takesowns in the fight keeping him down for most of the fight.

Cub just had no answer for "the answer" & i think this time around Edgar will Beat Aldo. He just always gets better & has endless endurance whereas to me, Aldo hasn't shown alot of improvement & has fought a bit safe the past few fights, although he did try and put Mendes away a few times.

I like that Chico guys footwork and standup. He looked great against an always tough brad pickett. Benavidez looked good as usual and i think he should fight Dodson next & the winner of that gets Mighty Mouse.

Edited by BlackAce23
I Love Anna Kournikova

Thing is is Benavidez wont get a 3rd shot at Might Mouse. He has already lost to him twice and the UFC never gives a third chance to anyone.

I think McCall and Linenker will fight and the winner of that gets Dodson with the loser getting Benavidez.

Edgar looked awesome though.

And I completly agree about Bobby Green.

Never say never in the UFC. Frank Mir has gotten a load of title shots and Sonnen too but that could do with them being Danas boys but it will be a long road for him back thats for sure.

Im really pumped for UFC 181. Two title fights that i feel honestly could change hands that night. Lawler is always an tough opponent for anyone and pushed Hendricks to the limit in the first one, dven got rocked a good few times. It was close as hell and i think it will be even closer this time.

Melendez is as tough and gritty as they come and always fights moving forward & Pettis is a tricky guy to figure out stand up because of how creative he is and got great bjj off of his back so hes a threat both ways. The rest of the card looks pretty solid as well and should deliver.

Im picking Lawler via split decision & Pettis via rd 3 tko

Yea, but has it ever been agasint someone they have already lost too twice? Sonnen lost to Silva twice and never fought him again. Sure he fought Jones but the only reason he moved to LHW was because he knew he was getting old and he wouldnt get that shot against Silva ever again.

for 181, I Hope Lawlor wins. I cant stand Hendricks. the guy is just a cry baby. I really can not stand the guy. However I think Hendricks takes it by UD but its a lot closer than you would think.

Your pretty spot on with your Pettis analysis though. Great Striking and good Jitsu off his back. I dont think I have seen his top Groundgame in Years. The only person he struggled with was Guida. I dont really think Gilbert is that great to be honest. Lost to Henderson and Barely beat a declining Diego Sanchez.

Other fights

Browne over Schaub via KO

Duffe over Hamilton via TKO

Trujillo over Ferguson via UD

Faber over Rivera via Guillotine

Gordan over Samman via UD

Anderson over Wilson via UD

Pennington over Smith via Split Dec.

Petis over Hobar via RNC

Collard over White via UD

Armin_Arlert_104

I got...

Lawler by 4th Rd TKO. He's improved since the last fight, while Hendricks hasn't fought since.

Pettis by Unanimous Decision. I predict we'll see a much more safe version of Pettis now that he has a belt to keep. I think he'll be content to stay on the outside, picking apart Melendez for five rounds.

Browne by 1st Rd TKO. I feel Schaub has nothing to offer Browne. He might have a slight advantage in grappling, but I don't think he has good enough takedowns to get Travis down. Also, his bad striking defense is perfect for Browne.

Faber by 2nd Rd Rear Naked Choke. He's going to come in ultra agressive but calculated like he has as of late, putting a beating on Rivera for a round or so, until he gets the opportunity to cling onto his back and sink in a choke.

What do you guys think about TUF20? I'm getting sick of all the stupid drama, but I think it's been a good season regardless. I'm rooting for Jojo or Rose, I can't wait to see them fight each other.

@ILAK Yeah you're right on the first part i was just thinking about multiple title shots across different divisions and not the same one.

Same here with wanting Lawler to win, Hendricks does come off like a whiny c*nt & i can't stand the whole dipping during a press conference, that sh*t looks tacky.

While Pettis is pretty well rounded, he kinda struggles with wrestlers with a good top game but i feel his bjj has improved since the guida fight especially with being able to make Bendo tap which is a very hard thing to do, hes flexible like gumby & is a bjj black black himself. I agree with pretty much the majority of the card results.

@Armin no i don't really watch TUF as much anymore, i do remember that Hawaiian chick with the nickie cookie pretty much dominating most chicks on there.

If Faber moved back up to 45 to face Edgar who do you think would win in that superfight?

Armin_Arlert_104

Faber had problems dealing with Dominick Cruz's movement, and Frankie moves very similar to Cruz just with more of a focus on wrestling. I see Edgar winning a close decision, whether it be 3 or 5 rounds. I wouldn't be surprised if Faber won though, he's one of the most well rounded active fighters, pound for pound.

Edited by Armin_Arlert_104
AceThaCreator

Yeah it would one hell of close fight heres the stats between the two:

Urijah Faber

Age:35

Ht:5"6

Reach:69"

Record:31-7

Stance:Orthodox

Former WEC feather champion

Striking:32%

Sub:41%

Takedowns:27%

Frankie Edgar:

Age:33

Ht:5"6

Reach:68"

Record:17-4-1

Stance:orthodox

Former Ufc light weight champion

Striking:41%

Sub:11%

Takedowns:47%

Both pretty much are mirror images of each other with Frankie i believe having the better footwork of the two. I even say that Frankie might be slightly the better wrestler & would have the strength advantage fighting larger guys whereas Faber might possibly have the speed advantage but not by much. Frankie has never been finished & is very durable & has a great gas tank. Both always move forward and are aggressive fighters. I feel the only way that fight would end is on the ground via submission, by who im leaning more towards Frankie although Faber could just as easily put him away on the ground too. Most of Fabers past few wins have come via submission so hes equally as much of a threat on the ground.

I Love Anna Kournikova

This TUF is lame. When you got the girls playing there little patty cake game and all they is bitch about each other. Its the most annoying thing I have ever watched in realtion to UFC.

I would rather watch the horrible McDonald-Ellenberger fight on repeat 100 times then watch this season again. And thats saying something because the fights arent half bad.

Honestly, Urijah is one of my favorite fighters but I think Edgar would beat him. If Urijah could take him down then I could see him winning but Edgar is just more well rounded.

Then again I dont really know sh*t about Edgar (which is really weird i know), and I'm mainly just going off how he looked the other night. Which was completly different than when he fough Henderson for the title twice.

AceThaCreator

All you need to know about Edgar is that he got heart & literally does not quit. You should watch his fights with Gray Maynard if you never got the chance to, he was bloodied & rocked alot in the past two & in the very last one came back and ko'd Maynard in the 4th, it was a crazy comeback. His wrestling is very good, he has taken down the best in the 55 division & he was very undersized in that division giving up between 10-25lbs or more to opponents.

He got screwed in the Bendo fights by the corrupt judges so i think his mindset is to finish a fight or theres a good chance the judges will be in favor of the champ which is always the case.
