@Beard- Before I say anything let me say that being from Sacramento, I was rooting for Castillo big time. Don't like Ferguson at all really. But Watching it live, I thought it was 29-28 Ferguson. I thought he did more Damage from the bottom where Castillo just kind of layed on him. I would like to watch it again though.

as far as the fights on Friday,

Souza by KO

Overeem by TKO

Lewis by Dec

Chiesa by Sub (rear Naked-choke)

Olivera by Dec

Moraga by Dec

Bellator is getting harder and harder to take seriously anymore. They had a good show last week up until they pull this crap of a publicity stunt. If you're gonna try and pull it off then atleast do it with people that are more convincing smh. I always looked at MMA as its own sport but most of the top companies are starting to use too much pro wrestling esque theatrics and its starting to turn it into a joke. I am a fan of both but they need to stick to just fighting because it just comes off as forced and fake when they do it.

Well, the man did exactly what he said he'd do.

Yea he is LEGIT. People HATE cocky fighters(ex Silva, Rousey, Jones) but they back it up every time. Now do i think he beats Aldo, i don't think so but i would be foolish to think Macgregor won't be Aldo's toughest challenge to date "if" he gets past Mendes.

People either love him or hate him and I can see why people dislike him. It's hard for me not to like him but of course, I'm totally biased. Nice to actually have someone from my city to support. However cocky or confident he is, he seems to have conviction. I think he believes in what he says.

Yeah he's what Channel Sonnen should've been. A guy who can back up what he says. You can't help but respect him even if you hate his guts. I use to strongly dislike Rhonda but over time she grew on me but im in no way a fan. I like Jones and he's cocky son of a b*tch but he's so good not to like.

No Doubt. Thats how I am with Faber, Mendez, Benavidez, Fili, Holdsworth, Castillo and all those guys.

UFC 179 is FINALLY here, this saturday 8pm in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. The main event features two guys with a bitter rivalry #1 contender Chad Mendes & Featherweight champion Jose Aldo. I believe won't be as one sided as the first but i do see Aldo winning via Decision. Both guys cardio isn't their strong point. I'd give the speed advantage and striking to Aldo and wrestling to Mendes although Aldo is dangerous on the ground.

Mendes like Aldo possess knockout power and can end the fight with one punch but question is will Mendes be able to deal with the leg kicks and overall striking of Aldo and can Aldo keep the fight standing the whole time which he usually does against dominant wrestlers. And if Aldo wins, i wonder if he finally moves up or stays and fight Macgregor because i think that kid will be a tougher challenge them Mendes no disrespect to him though.

Another sh*t PPV. Im not buyin it. Ill just find somewhere to watch the Main event.

Besides the main event, IM mostly excited for the Andre Fili fight.

I didn't even bother mentioning rest of the card, i just want to see the Main event because these too legit have beef with other. Most cards this year have sucked and i think they just don't care no more about producing great cards and just focus on one fight. Nothing beats last years cards. A majority of them were stacked, even the prelims were good but the injuries are whats killing the UFC right now. Rhonda and Demetrious are the only champs that consistantly fight while the others only fight once a year or less. Edited by BlackAce23

Eh, Dillashaw has fought 3 times this year. Although one of those fights was to get the belt. I know what you are saying.

Injuries hurt this year but I think the UFC trying to promote Fight Pass cards did too. McGregor vs Brandao, Le vs Bisping, Hunt vs Nelson, Gunnar Nelson vs Story.

These are all fights that could have made better PPV's. Fight pass should be for the lesser known UFC fighters IMO.

Also, IM starting to change my mind about WMMA. I dont like Ronda but some of these chicks are fun to watch. Bethe Correia is awesome.

And the TUF season this year has some badass chicks in it.

@ILAK yea only reason i didn't mention Dillashaw is because he just won the belt not long ago but most major title fights had to be rescheduled which is frustrating as hell but sh*t happens.

And yea, it's clear that they putting good fights on fight pass to get more subscribers but they always seem to get it backwards with ufc on FOX events and PPVs. It's always the free ones that are stacked while most PPVs feel slapped together and lackluster. Like top 10 guys fighting guys not even in the top 20 or just too many unknown names.

I used to be the same way about WMMA with strongly disliking Ronda at first because i thought she was a one trick pony(armbar) but overtime she grew on me. The past PPVs i ordered with my friends had her on it so i kinda had no choice but to watch her lol. The whole division is no non sense, always trying to go for finishes and you can tell they got a chip on they're shoulders and something to prove with how they fight. Yeah i watched a little bit of this season and those chicks are legit especially that cookie monster chick lol. Now i wish they would quit playing around and book Rousey vs Cyborg soon because both i feel are just meant to fight each other like Paquiao and Mayweather.

Lol what did i say earlier. Some of these champs are most brittle athletes out there. The guy takes more damage in training sessions then he does in all of his fights smh. Well its now Hunt vs Werdum for the interim championship. I would put my money on Werdum but Hunts always a dangerous guy to stand with but Werdum will take him down and most likely will submit him.

Just know that Werdum is a BJJ guy first will even lie on his back begging opponents to come in his guard, i kid you not lol. I personally want Hunt to win because he's a great guy and has been fighting forever but i have a feeling that Werdum will drag him down every chance he gets.

Stipe got his work cut out for him facing Dos Santos. If Stipe can stick and move then he takes it but JDS can end the fight in any given second with a slip up or counter but he's upredictable with his striking.

I think Junior is sort of a unknown though. Yea He beat Cain once but after that Cain Made him his bitch. But in the last 3 years He has fough 3 people. Cain, Hunt and Mir once.

I think Stipe is very underrated and can take Junior.

Although, like I said, I dont know much about t he Heavyweights. :p

AceThaCreator

Junior like Valesquez is definitely well known, especially after the fact that they fought 3times in two years and both were ranked in top 3 for a few years. I watched all three fights and JDS got lucky the first one but Cain is much better then him standing up and grappling. Cain got underrated boxing and i remember reading somewhere that a boxing trainer said that he's even good enough to box professionally. Now Stipe is more unknown then the other two and i have seen two of his past fights and hes got solid standup and better cardio then JDS.

JDS is too predictable in his striking and spams the same overhand right over and over right. If you stick and move or take him down and keep him down you'll win. He tires out fast because of all the muscle mass on his frame. Im not too big on the heavyweight division and prefer the featherweight, light weight, welter weight, and light heavyweight division the most because those divisions are STACKED.

Man WHAT A FIGHT between Money Mendes & Jose Aldo. The judges scored it 49-46, all to Aldo but the fight seemed a bit closer then that imo. A couple times in the fight where both rocked each other and fight pretty much was on the feet the whole time. The only gripe i had about this fight is that Mendes kept poking him in the eye and low shots too many times but i think he was just overly excited. Im glad to Aldo win and i think he should move to lightweight now. And for Mendes, i want to see him take Conor Macgregor who i think he will beat but the irish guy is good. The card pretty much sucked tonight but the Main event delivered.

Aldo got away with 2 punches after the first round. Those did s lot more damage then eye pokes.

It was a great fight though. I scored it 48-47 Aldo but I could see it 48-48 too. 1st two to Aldo next two to mendes and 10-10 5th round. I gave it to Aldo.

Touchy Fili won though. That was the main fight I was looking forward to.

What a night of fights tonight in Australia. Holy sh*t.

Every Fight was a finish. Not one went to the judges.

A little disappointed by the Andrews and Hester losses but am very happy about the Iaquinta and Rockhold wins. Mainly because I cant stand Bisping.

AceThaCreator

Of course the one event i skipped out on ends up being good. So how exactly did Rockhold finish Bisping?

The month is LOADED with fights:

Shogun vs Saint Preux today @10:30/7:30pm

UFC 180 next sat @ 10/7pm

Ufc fight night:Edgar vs Swanson NOV 22 @ 10/7pm
