You guys see the Jones-Cormier stare down at the media day? lol

Yea that was TOO funny. Jones damn near sent Anik flying and NOW we have a REAL rivalry in MMA as of this year. Im looking forward even more towards this fight and i still feel that Jones will win but can't say that'll be easy. I can't wait to hear Dana White's reaction on what happened. Who's your pick?
I Love Anna Kournikova

Was that Anik? I thought so but every time I watch it he look more and more different.

Anyway, I have no idea who would win. I hope Jones but DC is a beast. I like both of them so, We'll see.

Dana Tweeted about it. He said he just got to Bora Bora and this is what happens. But you know he is thrilled about it. It causes tension amore people will buy it.

Which is exactly why Some are calling the whole thing a set up and its all for show.

a lot of fighters don't like Jones because he is f*cking good. They might say its because he is fake, but they just cant beat him.

And Yea, It actually Wasnt Anik, it was Dave Sholler who is the UFC director of Communications. whatever that means.

Yea Publicity sells thats for sure. They were taking a page out of Ali's book who was a master at selling fights. I thought it Anik but he was lucky he wasn't in the middle or i think Jones would've killed that guy by accident lol. Watch the fight end in a controversial decision so that they can do another one for more $$$$. However i think when Jones fights Gus again, it won't last 5 rounds & one of them is going down.

BREAKING NEWS to ALL MMA fans: Jon "Bones" Jones is Offically Out of UFC 178 after tearing his meniscus & spraining his ankle. The fight is now moved to UFC 182 on January 3rd, 2015.

AceThaCreator

Yea, But Bobby King Got f*cked over.

That's some Bullsh*t.

How? Hes still getting a fight on that card and because you fight a non top ten opponent doesn't mean you still can't get big fights. UFC is pretty much a popularity contest now and not everyone has to dight top 10 oppenents to get title or big fights. I definitely can't to see how aleverez does in the UFC hes got his work cut out for him in whats arguably THE toughest division in the UFC imo.

Donald Cerrone is a big name fighter and possibly a candidate for fighter of the year. A win over Ceronne would put King probably 1 win away from a Title shot. Plus it would earn King a lot more attention.

How is it fair at all to King? He has an opponent, starts training for him and then next thing you know, UFC signs some other guy and says 'nevermind we would rather Cerrone fight this guy instead because it would get more attention.'

AceThaCreator

Yeah i feel what you're saying and agree but its just how the UFC runs things now. They are notorious for switching opponents and fight cards all of the time and usually its because of injury but this time it's because of a new fighter. They also give title shots to people who get cheap wins(DC who beat dan henderson who way smaller & that barista guy) over guys like cub swanson(whos on a 5 or 6 fight win streak) so with the UFC anything can happen you just gotta be exciting nowadays. Is it fair no, but Dana White only cares about $$$$ and thats why he wanted Carano to fight Rousey without having to earn it. So if Bobby King gets a few impressive KOs or SUBs, im sure he will get a title shot.

Yea, Injuries is one thing but Just because they signed someone new shocked me. Alvarez was a beast in Bellator, but this is the UFC now.

Whatever though, I'm glad. I like Cerrone and King so at least i can root for Cerrone now.

AceThaCreator

Yea cerrone has been on a tear as of lately and its a shame that guys like him and uriah faber aren't champions because they literally fight more than most of the injuried champions combined in one year. It gets so frustrating looking foward to a fight and the champion has to pull out with an injury at the last minute(Aldo, Jones, Pettis). I guess the only last exciting fight left of this year is Diaz vs Silva although i feel that fight won't happen either and if it does then it won't go past 2 rounds at most.

AceThaCreator

Yea i forgot about Pettis vs Melendez but you never know with Pettis. I have a feeling that Vitor will fail a drug test before the fight but if he stays clean that will definitely be Weidman's toughest challenge especially with Vitor's standup game although if Weidman gets him down its over. Dillashaw will probably repeat the same performance that he had in the first fight. But yea i definitely looking forward to Alverez vs Cerrone and i think Cerrone will play spoiler role via ko or tko.

Maybe it will help bobby green in the long run. Not taking away from his performance against josh Thompson but he was a late replacement. Thompson looked hesitant the whole fight to me. Bobby looses to cerrone and he gets pushed out of the top 10 and called a fluke. Maybe now he still gets a top 10 but not someone as hot as cerrone is. Ross Pearson or Michael Johnson come to mind. Dana cares more about money than doing what's right by the fighters. When Edgar fought penn for the first time he had lost to gray Maynard who was undefeated and should have got the title shot. Maynard was a lay n pray guy at the time though and not much fun to watch.

For weidman vs belfort I think weidman walks through him without a challenge. I don't know the vitor could have beat Rockhold, bisbing, or Henderson without abusing TRT.

Double Post but f*ck it.

f*ck, f*ck, f*ck, f*ck, f*ck, f*ck.

RDJ Put Henderson on his ass. I thought it was a good stoppage. You get dropped by a knee then get up and take a punch that puts you on your ass the fight is going to be stopped. I dont get the Complaints.

Good night of fights though.

If anyone watches the boring 177 next week, watch for me. Ill be there again.

AceThaCreator

I missed both events yesterday but did see that Highlight of Henderson getting KTFO by Dos Anos and all i can say is wow upset of the year. I never really liked Henderson as he plays it way too safe and like to lay n pray in all of his fights. Only thing is who is gonna have next up after Pettis vs Melendez? This is why i love the lightweight division because theres SO many talented well rounded fighters in this division who are capable of being champion unlike the Flyweight, Womens batamweight, and Heavyweight who just has one person whos just easily tearing through the division. As far as UFC 177 goes i still got Dillashaw for the win but not sure how he finishes it this time.

I was very surprised by RDJ. While I think the stoppage was good I can see the complaints. Henderson's legs went and he was out but as soon as he hit the ground he was back awake. Mein looked good against Pyle as well. Also the first ever omaplata finish. Good card overall.

I think the cerrone vs Alvarez winner now gets the next shot at the champion. 155 and 170 are the best two weight classes as far as competition. 3 or 4 guys in each class could be champ on any given night.

@ILAK maybe 177 will have some good fights. I think diiashaw vs barao will be better than the first one. I didn't realize they moved Mighty Mouse to 178 though. That's a little disappointing.

Dillashaw-Barao will be a good one. Obviously excited for that one.

Castillo-Ferguson is the only other one that I am very excited to see but its still not Co-Main Event worthy.

And Baszler-Correia is almost a Fight Pass worthy fight. the fact that it is right in the middle of the main card is horrible.

AceThaCreator

Yea I see Dillashaw winning this especially with his last performance but part of me think that Barao KOs him and thats whats makes this fight exciting. I got Correia for the win but i would be foolish to think that she could beat Rhonda but this is MMA where anything can happen. Im more excited for Aldo vs Mendez II and wish they could've fought on the same card together because the card as a whole is pretty lame.

Baszler vs correia is on there because the ufc has to build the women's division up. Get more exposure for the them. If Rhonda decides to leave fighting for movies the women's division will be in trouble.

Bellator signed Bonnar. I know he's got a big name but he's been past his prime for a while. Not to mention he failed 2 drug test. I would think you would want to build your company with your own guys and not with UFC cast offs.

Starscream_910

News flash- Barao passed out before weigh ins- he's been dropped from the card and replaced with Soto.

This is undoubtedly the most terrible card lineup I've ever seen now. What a bloody joke.

Yeah I just saw that. This has to be one of the worst cards on paper that I've seen in a while.

Sorry @ILAK for barao pulling out. Hope you can get a some of your money back.

I Love Anna Kournikova

ha, Yea. Im still gonna go. f*ck it right? Crazy sh*t has been happening for this card so Maybe some crazy sh*t will happen at the fights.

Still, 8 fights. sh*t. :p

Barao passed out with 3 pounds still left to cut. That is horrible. He needs to move up to 145 but Nova Uniao (or whatever) will not allow it because of Aldo.

And Henry Cejudo needs to be cut, because he is a disgrace to the sport.
