OutOfTimer
R*'s douchebaggery continues. Try manually disabling R* Social Club Startup Process and you may notice that it adds itself back each and every f*cking time you run the game. Various programs add themselves to the Startup Processes after installation and obviously R* also does this. However, the thing is that it adds itself every time, even though after the initial check it shouldn't do this anymore. That basically means that during each execution, this little s*hit checks if it was removed manually. Not even f*cking Adobe does this. If you right click R*'s icon on the task bar, it gives you the option to disable the check and prevent it from loading permanently. I guess we should be really thankful for being given the option to disable this s*hit. That way we can avoid hours of frustration. I'm sure it simply wasn't enough to bundle this useless s*hit with the game, force its installation upon us and make us create accounts. R* also wants to have it running on every comp at all times. This is too much for me to handle. How to Disable Startup Processes I encourage everybody to check if this (or any other) useless s*hit runs in the background right now. If the company in question doesn't give you any choice, which they rarely do, you can do this using Microsoft Windows Defender (it is bundled with Vista and can be downloaded for free from Microsoft if you're using XP). This feature can be accessed from the Tools Menu and is called Software Explorer. I also recommend you download the latest Microsoft Windows Security Essentials if you don't have a paid Anti-Virus program. Unfortunately, Software Explorer was removed from Windows 7, apparently in order to make it easier for 3rd party programs to bloat the system. In that case, you'll have to use a separate program. For those who don't know, Startup Processes are programs pre-loaded to your RAM each time you power on your comp. Each and every additional Stratup Process eats your memory and bloats your system. To give you a glimpse of how serious this issue really is, try to imagine that even high-end systems like mine (e.g.: Quad Core 3.0 GHz) can have their startup time increased by 30 seconds after placing 3-4 pieces of bloatware like Windows Messenger or Adobe's Acrobat Reader in their RAM. Message to R* Your douchebaggery has reached epic proportions. Many people that run your f*cking PC port are computer experts. Do you honestly think that we cannot f*ck up your pathetic attempts at privacy intrusion? The only thing you succeed at is making us grow increasingly angry at what you do. Just imagine the consequences of people like me wanting to cause you trouble. It's happening right now. mkey82
To cut a long story short - if the right click - uncheck thing doesn't work, simply close RGSC, go to "run command", type "msconfig", go to the Startup tab and find RGSC on the the list and uncheck it. That's all. Also, don't touch anything on this list you're not 100% positive about what it does.
