Racecarlock
San Andreas advertised the Glory Hole theme park, GTA IV had that useless except for the bowling alley carnival. But wouldn't it be great if they actually put in a dang working amusement park? They got a working carnival in Bully: Scholarship Edition after all. I'm just saying, derbies, base jumping, and rampages are fun, but they always advertise fictional amusement parks but never made a working one. I'm not saying it needs to be big, i'm just saying give us something. Sure, it probably won't be a thrillville or RCT3 fantasy, but it would be a nice addition. And it could be used for dates and such.
Racecarlock
Hello? Someone please reply to me with their opinion on this. If I didn't want opinions, I wouldn't have posted this here. Sorry for double post.
FearTheLiving
I don't feel the need to have a virtual character go on rides, but I do like the carnivale games. Maybe if you on rides with friends it would be worth hearing what they said but other then that I don't see much a point for the rides.
cornedbeefsandwich
i don't see why not. as you said, bully had one.
ScratchCard
There definetly should be one, especially if they're advertising it. We could visit Disney Land/World in, for example, Paris or Florida.
Akavari
YES the carnival in Broker should've been functional, it would've added a lot of life to that part of the city. Maybe you could jack the roller coaster controls and send it speeding off the tracks into a fireball of death? They could also have the game where you shoot the target with the rifle, but since it's GTA you can turn around and shoot actual people with it like we've all dreamed of doing. trantula_77
I dont see the need to waste the disk space on something like that, I rather it be used on more interesting mini-games, I don't mean like bowling and golfing, I can do that in real life. I mean something like, hit man jobs, escort missions, police missions where they cops think you are one of them (say be able to be on the swat team and randomly go take down crooks with a team). Fun stuff that we can't do in real life and wouldn't be intensely boring on a video game.
Flesh-n-Bone
Actually in Vice City Stories the amusement park in front of your safehouse was functional and you can use it. But like said above, I'd rather the disc space be used on something fun and not something that lasts for 5 minutes before boring you to death. Wenis IV
Personally I think it would have been boring, just to watch your character go on a ride (I almost fell asleep getting the helitour achievement in IV). It would maybe be fun the first time, but I think it would get old quickly. So it would almost be a waste of time and resources for R* to develop it in my opinion. In GTA VCS I always wanted to throw somebody off the ferris wheel, but I believe it's impossible to grab people in the ferris wheel carts. Also, in GTA VCS, the amusement park was verry glitchy and buggy. Is it like that for you too?

nellypellit
well the next gta iv add on is out in a few weeks so it might be opened up.after all it did say that it was going to have a vice city feel to the game.
Asoyfy37
I dont realy like the idea of an actuall working amusement park. The main character is a criminal, and most of times older then 25 years old. He have nothing to look for in such a place. If they will put an amusement park, I hope that I wont have to go there for a mission. But as an option, it's not too bad.
Mainland Marauder
The carnival was in the original Bully edition too. You took one of the girls there in the storyline (I think the preppie girl, the name escapes me) but you could go in there anytime after you opened that part of Bullworth. Sure, it could work, and it could indeed be a date thing. So you're a criminal in your 20s, big deal. Wouldn't make or break the game though. "You tell me exactly what you want, and I'll explain to you very carefully why it cannot be."
tarnell
Yeah make a, Los Santos Eye, or Liberty Eye, or Vice Eye, instead of London Eye, that would be cool if you could jump out when you at the top
XZGamer71
I suppos it wouldn't be bad, but if you're on about First Person View then... Then... No... But Third Person then it should be used in a Mission Cutscene.
Daggdag
I would like to see a few working amusement parks. They could have a disneyland like park with a corrupt owner that the main character can work for. They would also be good for dates.

RedDragonsBOOM
Its just such a waste of time I think. Maybe in 15 years when creating an entire state in detail wont be that difficult, but for now the amount of work and time put into making an amusement park on GTA would be pointless when it could go towards other things. Drift-Kingz
Amusement Park? Nah. Focus on the Criminalized aspects not some roller coaster
EncryptedReality
Don't forget that Vice City stories had also an working amusement park! here you can take a look. In TBOGT it seemed to be partially working in the last mission when you have to kill Timur. Edited July 17, 2010 by GTARandom
Kwandilibro
Sounds fun to me. I'd like to be able to take hostages in the amusement park, so you can engage in a shootout with the cops with less of a chance of being killed(especially from above), due to cops trying to avoid civilians. Obviously, this probably won't happen since the cops in GTA are homicidal. I'd also like to throw people off the top of a ferris wheel or roller coaster. SynX HD
It would be sick to go on a ride at Magic Mountain and when you get to the top you hop out and jump off.
sabbathfan
I' love to see a working theme park. I wouldn't actually care about going on any of the rides, because the kind of protag I want to see wouldn't give a crap about theme park rides. But it would be great because it is such a concentration of people to go kill frenzy on. Shooting people out of a rollercoaster would be just dandy as far as I'm concerned. And you could have a mission where you have to kill someone at a theme park so you go on the big wheel and shoot them with a sniper from the top then base jump out and escape. It owuld be awesome. I would like to specify that I would rather see a theme park that is outside city limits and quite a decent size. Like a place with loads of (if we must have them) friend activities concentrated in one area. It would be great to walk around it with the carnival music and all the people running around having a great time then BAM! I shot you in the face. General Goose
Theme parks, with appropriate rides, sideshows and shops, would be great. If they make a VC next, it MUST have a theme park.
Hodgey.
Im honestly not to bothered wheter it would be a working park. As we had the Ferris Wheel in GTA VCS and i only ever used it once. And even the park in IV even though it didnt work i hardly went into the place unless it was to do a mission.
