MyDog
Welcome to Wyndi City, the city based on Chicago! The Wyndi City is city full of crime. Street gangsters, Mafia families, drug cartels, and corrupt people make this city one of most dangerous cities in America. However, Cade Thompson, his brother Marty and his best friend “Tequila” Pete Lopez didn’t mind this title and visited Wyndi City in order to get power. Location: You will play in Wyndi City and the sea around it. WC goes in three main districts: Downtown district, Residential district and Industrial district, with Downtown and Residential on one major island and Industrial on second. There are two small islands: Albany Island and Marlon Island. Weapons: These are all the weapons available to wield in GTA Wyndi City. Since sale of the weapons is strictly forbidden in Wyndi City (due to Mayor John Holmes' fear that terrorists will strike him again), you can buy guns in underground illegal shops just like in GTA IV. There are three enterable gunshops in Wyndi City: Marty’s Arm Supplies, Charge’s Crib and Woundbody Hardware Ammunition Company Knowles (WHACK) owned by Jerry Knowles. The weapons are: Melee: Bat (Baseball) Sword (Katana) Knife Chainsaw Golf Club Nightstick Pistols: Handgun (Colt M1911) Combat Handgun (Desert Eagle) Police Handgun (CZ 75) Revolver (Colt Python) Submachine Guns: Micro SMG (Uzi) Small Micro SMG (Micro Uzi) Submachine Gun (Mp5) Tec SMG (Tec 9) Shotguns: Shotgun (Remington 870) Combat Shotgun (Remington 11-87) Stubby Shotgun (Ithaca 37) Sawn-Off Shotgun (Lupara) Assault Rifles: Assault Rifle (M16) Russian Rifle (AK-47) Carbine Rifle (M4) Rifles: Country Rifle (Winchester Model 9422) Sniper Rifle (Remington 700) Combat Sniper Rifle (PSG-1) Machine Guns: Machine Gun (M60) Heavy Gun (Minigun) Launchers: Rocket Launcher (RPG-7) Flame Thrower Thrown: Grenade (Hand Grenade) Smoke Grenade Petrol Bomb (Molotov Cocktail) Other: Car Bomb Story: Opening Cutscene: Wyndi City, 1998. Since O'Flair International Airport is in Downtown, Cade Thompson, Marty Thompson and Pete Lopez have been forced to Windy Island, Industrial part of the city. However, that didn’t stop them in their goal. They decided to take over the city, or at least the Windy Island. They earned money, killed people, hired people, and took over. Mayor Holmes gave them and their gang permission to go to the other islands. Soon, they took over. Cade and Marty Thompson and “Tequila” Pete Lopez were most powerful criminals in town. However, this didn’t last long. Two years later, Marty Thompson murdered an enemy gang member and was caught. He was to be transferred to Vice City prison. However, the police convoy was ambushed by Cade and few of his men. Cade didn’t succeed. His men were killed and he was arrested and put into the Wyndi City prison. He was sentenced to eight years. The Script for Opening Cutscene (The arrest scene only): (During a fistfight between Marty Thompson and some guy, a police siren is heard and two cars surround them. They are both arrested.) Officer1: Well, well. Marty Thompson. Ain't this embarrassing for you, boy? Get in the car! (Suddenly, a fast car stops by. Cade Thompson and his man come out.) Officer2: What? What the f*ck, how did he find out...? Officer1: Get him! (Cade's bodyguard starts shooting, but gets killed.) Cade: sh*t, man... (Police surrounds Cade.) Officer (whoever he is): Put the gun down boy and get on the ground! You're goin' to jail with your f*cking brother here. (Cade is pushed into a police van.) Marty: Man, are you crazy? Who the f*ck you think you are? You could get killed out there! f*cking hothead...You can't take down the police of Wyndi yourself! Cade: sh*t, I just tried to bust your ass out! Marty: Yourself? (Chuckles) Cade, boy, you need a f*cking army to do that! These guys are police, not some bitch-asses! You can't...................sh*t, we're f*cked and it's your fault asshole. Your fault! Cade: My fault? Is it my fault that you beat up a guy in a middle of a street and got caught? So shut up! Marty (calms down a bit then starts talking): Man we gotta warn Pete. Maybe it's not lost, but he doesn't know how to run things....sh*t! Cade: Don't worry bro. Pete ain't a stupid. Marty: Pete's muscles, not brains, Cade. He's able to kill people, not to make decisions. I just hope I'll get less than fourty years..... Chapter 1: Eight years later, Cade was released. He found Pete’s phone number and phoned him, and then discovered that Pete lost everything, was poor and in debts now. However, he had some connections: English arms dealer Charge (who introduces them to Marty, also an arms dealer) local Mafia boss Salvatore Trevino, drug lord Federico “Feddy” Moreno and drug dealer Lisa Mary Mendez. Cade meets Salvatore, works with him, as well as Feddy and Lisa. He makes some connections, pays Pete’s debts and runs errands for powerful people in the town. Marty Thompson phones him to tell him to pick him up off the O'Flair International Airport. Cade and Pete re-unite with Marty and there Chapter 1 ends. Chapter 2: Cade and Pete start to rise as Marty comes to help. However, in a drug deal between Pete and Sal Trevino, Sal betrays them, shooting Pete (not fatally) and bombing the warehouse Pete was in, killing him. The brothers (especially Marty) are furious and want Sal dead. That comes to reality when they raid his condo, and kill him in his office. John Holmes starts to fear the Thompson brothers when they kill Sal and removes the roadblocks for them. Cade meets journalist Benny DeLuca, local journalist, and helps him spy on Lisa Mendez. However, Lisa finds out about this and tells Cade to kill Benny. Already despising DeLuca, Cade goes to him and kills him with pleasure. When he goes to collect the money from Lisa, she flees and orders his death. Members of her cartel attack Cade, but he kills them all and tries to catch Lisa, however, unsuccessfully. Feddy calls Cade again and introduces him to Payn, leader of a black street gang Around-Da-Hood Kings (AK). Payn becomes Cade’s friend and Cade helps him against police and rival biker gang Heaven's Devils, led by Leroy Carter. Unknown to Payn, Leroy and Cade work against the AK. At one point Leroy (who doesn’t know that Cade also works with AK) asks Cade to kill Payn. Not wanting to kill his friend, Cade refuses. Payn begins to have problems with his brother Priest, who utterly hates him, despite the fact that Payn loves him and cares for him. In mission The A-Kay Bay Cade goes to the docks where the brothers have a meeting, but is stopped by the AK so he can't access the meeting. Suddenly, gunshots are heard, and Priest escapes after killing his own brother. Disgusted by brother-killing Priest, Cade kills him in the next mission. Alec Duncan, corrupt police captain finds out that Cade was the killer of Priest, his friend, and blackmails him: either to work for him for free or to go to prison. Cade starts to work for Duncan, and kills Feddy and Leroy Carter for him, when they were having a meet. After the deal, Cade receives two phonecalls: from Leo Ponce, leader of local Jamaican gang Queenston Mobs (Duncan’s business partner) and Henry Gesling, old friend of Cade, Marty and Pete. Cade does some jobs for Ponce, which mostly have him helping the Mobs against their sworn enemies, the Black Blood. Timar Dupat, senator of Illinois, has heard of Cade Thompson and wants to give him some work. Cade kills a few gangsters and takes a photo of some politician with his gay boyfriend, which Dupat uses to blackmail the politician. Timar's last mission has Cade to do a bike race against 18 Heaven's Devils. Henry introduces Cade to Robert Gesling, his brother. Cade does a job for him, and Robert introduces him to Lizard King, leader of Lizards gang. Cade does some jobs for the guy, near the end of Chapter 2. The last mission of Chapter 2 has Henry killed and Cade killing the gang that shot him. Chapter 3: This is the last, shortest chapter. Tony White, Cade’s, Pete’s and Marty’s old boss while they were in Vice, comes to Wyndi City and wants to take over. Cade and Marty do some jobs for White, but he betrays them by kidnapping Marty and taking him to the junkyard to be bombed. Cade goes to rescue Marty, and the two decide to kill him. In the last mission, Charge gives them two M4 and they go to Tony's condo to kill him. A massive shootout happens, but Tony manages to escape to the roof and grab a helicopter. As Cade flies the second heli, Marty shoots, and Tony at some point jumps out. Cade swims after him, and kills him as they reach Albany Island. Gameplay: The graphics and gameplay is much like GTA IV but also you may jog, sneak and crawl. You can swim, dive, swim faster, and swim backwards. If the police sees you attacking someone with any weapon, you will receive a One Star wanted level. To get rid of the police, you can change clothes, save, then load your game, re-spray your car (as long as the police don’t see you entering) collect a police bribe which reduces your wanted level by one star. Also, if the police hear your gunshots, they will chase you. As melee weapons cannot be heard, you will receive wanted level when the police see you beating someone. If you shoot a window of any building, you will hear people screaming and shouting “Call the police!” and similar. You can also kill people if you shoot their windows, but you can’t access the buildings nor see people through the windows. Peds and Gangsters do real-life stuff like in GTA IV. They smoke, talk on cellphones, talk on payphones, etc. Gangs don't have one vehicle, they drive anything, really. They will sometimes even highjack a car and drive. Gangs act as normal Peds, but there are also groups of gangsters. Another difference is that they will attack you when you attack them (the exception being Thompson gang). They also wear their gang colors, but all don't have the same clothing. Gangs: Since Wyndi City is one of most dangerous places in America, there are certain gangs that may not tolerate your presence in their turfs, so you can either fight or flee. Your Gang-Unnamed gang, led by Marty and Cade Thompson, and Pete Lopez (R.I.P.). This gang will be around every property you bought. Their weapons are Handgun and Micro SMG. Trevino Family-Powerful Mafia family, the Trevinos are led by Salvatore Trevino and operate in Industrial and small area in Windy Island (Residential). After you kill Sal, the gang remains, but it is unknown who is their boss. Their weapons are Knife, Handgun and Combat Handgun. Moreno Cartel-Colombian drug cartel, led by Federico “Feddy” Moreno. After you kill Moreno, the gang disappears, but there are living members, seen in Los Morenos. The Cartel operates in Residential and Downtown. Their weapon is Micro SMG. Around-Da-Hood Kings (AK)-Led by Payn, this Afro-American gang operates in Residential. They are sworn enemies with Heaven’s Devils, biker gang led by Leroy Carter. After Payn and Priest die it is Lil G who takes the leadership. They wield Baseball Bats, Handguns and Knives. Heaven’s Devils-Biker gang led by Leroy Carter. They are the only gang that drives motorcycles only. They are in Residential, and share big hate with the AK. After you kill Leroy, the gang is destroyed. Their weapons are Knife and Handgun. Lisa’s Guards-Small amount of Lisa Mary Mendez’s guards. They are only in her apartment in Residential and you have to kill them all when Lisa betrays you and flees. Their weapons are Micro SMG and Carbine Rifle. Lizards-A group of villagers from small village on Marlon Island. They are a minor gang, and you work with them only in two missions. Their leader is Lizard King and their weapon is Knife. Black Blood-Another minor Afro-American street gang. It is seen in only a few missions by Leo Ponce, but you can also encounter them when not on a mission. It is unknown who their leader is, and if you attack them, they will fight back using Handguns. Industrial Triads-Another minor gang. They are a Chinese criminal organization, seen only outside of missions. Their leader is unknown. Their weapons of choice are Baseball Bat, Handgun and Micro SMG. Queenston Mobs-Jamaican street gang led by Leo Ponce. They operate in Residential and Downtown, and will attack you with Handguns if you interfere with them. Gunshop Gang-Unnamed gang, it will attack you when you attack the gun seller at three underground gun shops (those are not Charge, Marty and Jerry Knowles, just their employees). They carry Handguns. Colombian Califas-Based on Latin Kings, the Colombian Califas are minor gang present in Residential district. It's unknown who their leader is. They use Handguns and Micro SMGs. Clothes: You can buy clothes at three clothes shops around town. These are: Mantel-Formal clothing Blinko-Hip hop style clothing UrbanButton-Casual clothing Mantel: Tops: White Shirt Black Shirt Blue Shirt Red Shirt Coats: Black Coat Brown Coat Trousers: Black Pants Brown Pants Shoes: Black Shoes Gray Shoes Brown Shoes Ties: Stripped Tie Bowtie Flower Tie Black Tie Blinko: Tops: Blue Hoody White Hoody Black Hoody Jackets: Leather Jacket Black Jacket White Jacket Pants: Black Track Pants Blue Track Pants White Track Pants White Chonglers UrbanButton: Tops: T-Shirt Black T-Shirt Red T-Shirt Shoes: White Trainers Black Trainers Jackets: Leather Jacket Pants: Blue Jeans Torn Jeans Shoes: UB Trainers Flip-Flops Sandals Sandals & Socks Wanted Level System: One Star: Police chases you on foot, tries to arrest you. You will receive Two Stars when you attack a police officer. Two Stars: One car tries to catch you; police now hits you with their nightsticks. You will receive Three Stars when you kill a police officer. Three Stars: More than one car tries to catch you; police now tries to kill you, shooting you with their Handguns. You will receive Four Stars after you kill a big amount of police officers. Four Stars: A helicopter now comes after you. More cars chase you, and now S.W.A.T. attacks you with their Submachine Guns. You will receive Five Stars when you kill a big amount of S.W.A.T. agents or police officers. Five Stars: More choppers come after you; police sets roadblocks and spikes to puncture your tires. Four-five police cars chase you, and now the FIB is after you, attacking you with their Micro SMGs and chasing you with fast cars. Police officers will push spikes on the road to puncture your tires, so you better watch out. To achieve Six Star wanted level, you will need to complete Chapter 1, and kill a big amount of lawmen after you. Six Stars: There is no way to escape Six Star wanted level, except to save, and then load. Police bribes don’t work, changing clothes doesn’t, spraying the car doesn’t work, no matter if police sees you or not. At Six Star wanted level, cars are hard to escape, FIB will give you hell, five or more helicopters will chase you, and now the army is after you, including those puncturing tires spikes. RSG69MW
I haven't used Photoshop in a while so is it okay if I mess around trying to make a logo? I really like the idea, a lot of thought has been put in to this.
MyDog
I haven't used Photoshop in a while so is it okay if I mess around trying to make a logo? I really like the idea, a lot of thought has been put in to this. Thanks I've been writing this in MS Word for about two months, but didn't finish it, I plan to add more radio stations and do the map in Paint, with all the districts. I also have thought 102 missions, including story missions and asset missions. Haven't written the walkthrough for them, though. PS. I won't mind if you mess it up, I'll try to make one myself, but I don't have the damn Photoshop and I heard you have to buy it if you want to download it. C'mon, ppl, I wanna know what others think about this game, to know what to add!!! Edited September 30, 2009 by MyDog
SirPsychoSexy
Sounds cool, but isn't Chicago called Windy City? Maybe you wanted to avoid it but Windy sounds better than Wind to me...
MyDog
Yeah Chicago's called Windy City but I didn't want to use the actual nickname. However, I can change the name....

That's up to you Dog, I think Windy sounds better, but maybe that's just me. The name of the city is not the most important thing though, and you have some nice ideas

gamefarter
I think Chicago would be a cool place, home of the most corrupt politicians of modern times. Obama...cough...cough... I can't read all of that though, but I see you worked hard on it.
ScratchCard
Imo, Windy City (spell it Wyndi City if that suits you better, whatever) sounds a lot better then Wind City. Just me 2 cents though I really like the idea, and the amount of details is great. Just.. no more deal/revenge/optional third option, pretty please? MyDog
Ok, I can change the name of the city, but I can't change the thread name.

MyDog
Nah, I don't need to change the thread name, it isn't big difference between Wyndi and Wind. PS. Wyndi City Landmarks (parodies on Chicago Landmarks) are coming soon!

Wyndi City Landmarks (parodies on Chicago Landmarks) are coming soon! If you're not changing it then why are you using it? You should include some kind of Obama spoof.. he has some kind of relation to Chicago, right? And perhaps you could request a logo in the GFX Requests & Tutorials forum? Girish
Oh my eyes! Please stop raping them and get rid of the awful blue colour. No need to have your entire post in one colour. Use colours only for titles and sub-titles. I couldn't even read through the opening paragraph and I can't be bothered to highlight it just to read properly. Akavari
How do you guys settle for such simple, boring weapon lists? It's almost exactly like GTA IV's weapons which got stale pretty quickly.

tarnell
err I think its cool, but you should change the gangs in my opinion, make for example spanish lords (from gta 4) they are ment to be Latin Kings, which are based in Chicago
MyDog
I have added a gang based on Latin Kings, but it isn't called Spanish Lords, like in GTA IV, it's Colombian Califas. Edited October 10, 2009 by MyDog

Mainland Marauder
Chicago is definitely ripe for the GTA treatment. But, why all the islands? Chicago isn't even remotely close to being laid out like that. Or do we have to have them to keep certain parts of the city off limits at first?
