I had a similair problem a week or so back, the girl was really nice looking, but she was just too f*cking mad, she was getting extremely annoying, texting every 5 minuites, telling me she loved me (after knowing her for 2 months :|) and she then started planning our bloody future together, at 17. So, I just said "Listen, can we just be friends?", she took it quite well, still pesters the sh*t out of me on msn, but I just block her when she pisses me off.

 

But first off, make sure you shag her before you tell her to drift, other wise the whole thing would be pointless.

Lemme tell you a story. I must have been pretty much your age, and this girl who was actually really nice had a crush on me. Like, I could chat to her easily and everything, and we got along pretty good in high school. But I f*cked it up. For you see, she was way overweight and was put though much torment from other kids about this. But, I just didn't have the balls to go out with her, even tho I liked her, and put up with everyone bagging me out too. So, one day when she had asked for my number I purposely gave her a false number. It was a low, pathetic act which I feel ashamed about still. She never spoke with me again after that, and still 17 years later, I feel like a slimey asshole prick for treating her that way.

I can only agree with the earlier comment of "be a gentleman", forget all the immature nonense ppl are suggesting, because if you have any kind of heart (which I assume you do seeing as your asking for help) it will always bug you and make you feel low for treating a lady with disrespect...
