70%+ Completion & 200 Pigeons, no Annihilator

As the topic title suggests, I've gotten all 200 pigeons and I've checked all the locations people say the annihilator is supposed to be and there isn't a single one to be found. What's up?

Have you checked all spawn locations?

# One on a helipad at Northeast police station in Algonquin. It is watched over by LCPD officers armed with rifles, but stealing it will only earn you the usual one star for vehicle theft, which can easily be evaded once you take the chopper.

# One in Purgatory near the Golden Pier. No stars will be acquired since no one is guarding it. It can also be found in multiplayer.

# One on a helipad on a police station near Chinatown. Can be accessed by parking a large van/truck under a vent on the north side of the building,then jumping up a series of vents and edges until you reach the top.

# One in Francis International Airport, although it is recommended you go for another one, because entering the airport will earn you a 4 star wanted level, which you cannot lose while in the Annihilator.

# One on top of the MeTV building in Algonquin instead of a Maverick after you collect all 200 pigeons.

There’s only one Annihilator that spawns after killing all 200 Flying Rats, and it spawns on top of a tall building at Star Junction; regardless of your Game Progress percentage.

Here’s a map:

 

A regular Maverick will spawn there prior to killing all 200 Flying Rats.

 

There’s a functional Window Cleaning Platform on the west side of the building that you can ride to the top.

The spawn isn’t perfect, meaning that sometimes the Annihilator won’t be there, so you’ll have to go away and come back a few times if that happens.

I would recomend flying another helicopter to the top, and carefully landing next to it.

A bit off topic but I noticed there was an Annihilator spawned on top of the LCPD Station in East Holland once all islands were unlocked. However, it doesn't spawn anymore. Anyone know anything about this? Is it actually possible to get the Annihilator before completing the storyline and before getting rid of all 200 Pigeons?

 

Without cheats and without sniping the pilot on a four to six star wanted level. Unless flying in one will cause other Annihilators to spawn?

- I've check the police station both before and after I got all 200 pigeons. No helicopter at any point yet.

- I remember doing a mission where I had to follow the helicopter there and then steal the helicopter, if that is the location you're talking about. I check it and there is no helicopter of any sort there.

- I'm not sure where Chinatown is...

- I've flown over the airport helipad in question with the Maverick on a few different occasions but no Annihilator to be found.

- Not too sure about the MeTV building; but there's supposed to be one on the 'star' shaped building. You take a really long conveyor ride and a ladder to get to the roof. I've been there 3 times, once by helicopter and there has never been anything up there.

 

So, yeah, anyone tell me what I'm missing?

The helipad from the mission you're referring to, is at the Civilization Committee at Hatton Gardens from the mission, Dust Off. The LCPD Station that Girish is talking about, is the one near the gas station at East Holland. It's the area where Jeff can be found.

 

Just wondering, have you completed the storyline missions already? It's because the Annihilator will spawn most of the time once all 200 Pigeons are exterminated or once the storyline is finished.

 

But I think it's possible that the Annihilator spawns before any of those are completed. I've only seen it once but never again.

Yes, you’re missing the reply I left you earlier.

 

Those other locations that Girish listed have nothing to do with killing all 200 Flying Rats; there’s only one Annihilator that spawns for that, and that’s the one on top of the tall building in Star Junction. The other Annihilator spawn locations appear after story mission progress or game progress.

 

The Annihilator that spawns for killing all 200 Flying Rats has nothing to do with Game Progress percentage. Those screenshots that I provided were taken at the very beginning of the game before any story missions (without cheats and without mods), hence the 6-Star Wanted Level. I had 11.95% Game Progress.

 

If you’re using the Window Cleaning Platform to get to the top of the building, then you’ll probably never see it; the Annihilator rarely appears up there whenever I’ve used it to get to the top. I said that the spawn isn’t perfect, and approaching the Annihilator using the Window Cleaning Platform is not a good way to make it appear. That’s why I recommended that you use another helicopter to approach the building; the Annihilator tends to appear more often that way, especially by approaching it from a great height.

I haven't finished the storyline missions yet but I know I'm getting close; I've finished the game once before but never searched for the Annihilator.

 

 

 

That’s why I recommended that you use another helicopter to approach the building; the Annihilator tends to appear more often that way, especially by approaching it from a great height.

 

I'll give that a shot next time I'm in.
