Clem Fandango
The North American anime distributor Viz Media has announced at its second Saturday panel at Comic-Con International that it has acquired the upcoming Inuyasha: The Final Act (Inuyasha Kanketsu-hen) anime series and the Kekkaishi anime series. Inuyasha: The Final Act continues beyond where the first anime series ended and adapts the story from the final 21 compiled book volumes of Rumiko Takahashi's original manga. It will premiere in Japan this fall. Link I'm geed...
dxk
Oh yeah baby!!!! I can't wait, I love the whole series.
The-King
Ugh, used to love it but then I realized how shallow it was compared to most other anime and quit being able to watch it without laughing at how cut and dry the plots for each episode were. Still, nice to see the show continuing on, though I never actually finished the first couple hundred episodes because I got bored. |PropagandaIncorporated:|: Steam:|: DeviantArt:|: Last.FM|

Yeah, it's no Full Metal Alchemist, but it's still pretty entertaining. Not to mention the animation is the best I've ever seen.
The-King
I think Moriboto's and Claymore's animations blow away anything Inuyasha could ever muster, but Inuyasha has a certain charm to it's simplicity, though it's regrettable that it's only on at four in the morning because now I have an urge to watch it again, if for no other reason than to be able to say I've seen every episode. |PropagandaIncorporated:|: Steam:|: DeviantArt:|: Last.FM|

But I'm not talking about about the quality of the animation, I'm talking about how awesome the characters look: I think that's the reason the manga took off in the first place. I have an urge to watch it again You could watch it on Mysepace Video or Dubhappy, I suppose.

I use JustDubs and am already in the middle of watching a dozen or so other animes so I really don't have the time. And yes, Sesshomaru has and always will look awesome. |PropagandaIncorporated:|: Steam:|: DeviantArt:|: Last.FM|
Don Garcia
I used to dig the show too, until I saw, like King, how shallow and childish the whole thing was. I could still watch it if I was bored or whatever, but nothing really special. I'd much rather watch a Watanabe show -- Cowboy Bebop, S. Champloo. LanceVanceDance07
This show brings back some memories, used to watch Inuyasha when I was younger, now I don't anymore because of the reasons described by the previous posters. Oh, and Sesshomaru is awesome.

Shows like InuYasha and Naruto are just really long animes to watch when you're bored. Things like Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop are masterpieces; something you immerse yourself in, so it's not a fair comparison.
Don Garcia
Yeah, how long do those shows run, my God. It's quite overkill. But I guess if you're a diehard fan, it's bliss.
The-King
The lengths vary, usually the fun not so serious ones like DBZ, Bleach, Naruto, Yu Yu Hakusho, Inuyasha and the like run for several hundred episodes, and I feel it's fair to mention most animes like this spawned from a manga, usually Shonen Jump. While the more serious, novel-esque ones usually last anywhere from fifteen to fifty episodes with either one or two seasons, some good examples being Cowboy Bebop, Fullmetal Alchemist, Code Geass and Samurai Champloo. I hope that answered your rhetorical question. |PropagandaIncorporated:|: Steam:|: DeviantArt:|: Last.FM|
Don Garcia
I hope that answered your rhetorical question. It did! And Yu Yu Hakusho ran for that long? I used to love the show, until Cartoon Network stopped showing it... Was so f*cking entertaining.

I used to love the show, until Cartoon Network stopped showing it... Was so f*cking entertaining. Yu Yu Hakusho ran for one hundred and twelve episodes with two movies actually, I just finished watching the series on Youtube, though I still need to see the movies. I think the show actually ran it's course on TV, it's just that Cartoon Network f*cked with the schedule so much it made it practically impossible to watch. Originally I was forced to quit watching just before the end of the Dark Tournament saga because they f*cked the schedule from that point on and edited the sh*t out of it for Toonami so I couldn't watch it anymore. |PropagandaIncorporated:|: Steam:|: DeviantArt:|: Last.FM|
Don Garcia
Yeah, the tournament. That's where I recall the show going off-air. Was such a f*cking bummer, cuz if I'm remembering right, that's when Yuske got through that trial where he had to endure that agonizing pain to become stronger. Actually it was just moved to Toonami without any warning for no reason whatsoever, not to mention the massive amount of editing done to it so it could be lowered to a TV-7 rating. |PropagandaIncorporated:|: Steam:|: DeviantArt:|: Last.FM|
Don Garcia
Hm, time to go searching for the unedited episodes.
