On with the subject.Do you believe in cryptids?So on with the list(that I know) Black Shuck-A ghostly large black dog.It was responsible for killing a little kid and his dad while they were praying in a church. Mongalian Deathworm-A reddish worm that could spit acid and electrical charges.The reason is because the chinese were testing radioactive in the Gobi Desert. Gloop-An uknown animal in the ocean.It makes a wierd noise.The noise determins that it is 10 or 5X bigger than the blue whale. Megalanian-Said to be extinct but sightings are popping up.It is a bigger version of the Komodo Dragon.It is more deadlier. Swamp monster-The name implies.Only a few sightings because people don't hang around in swamps. Hell Hound-A demon dog.It color is black and have red eyes.Thank god you may never see one.If you see it three times then you will die an unexpected death. Jersey Devil-When first encountered then you'll feel scared but when it leaves you'll feel safe and protected.It's a guardian. Gnomes-There's actually a couple of sightings.And one actually got caught on video. I know that all of this sounds unrealistic.But sightings are growing everyday.So do you believe?Please don't flame.And please respect other's opinions. philster_12 Posted September 28, 2009 Share Posted September 28, 2009 Is this a joke topic? its a Debate pal, and BTW They'd probably existed , months ago i watch Discovery Channel and there was a Cryptid (a ManBAt) in a church, Every night some people hear wings flapping inside the church so they send a Team to investigate, and on video they caught a shadow of a manbat in the church then everyone of them was PANICKING! and ran outside the church!. The Wikipedia article on Black Shuck states that he appeared in 1477, the same time they were burning witches and hunting dragons. The Mongolian Death Worm is just some stupid local superstition. I searched for gloop and this is what I got. Megalania is just a larger than average monitor lizard that people incorrectly spotted at long distances. The Jersey Devil is just a Sandhill crane. Megalania was a real creature a very long time ago though. I watched a documentary about how the aboriginals in Australia managed to fight them. They'd wait until night when the animal was very inactive due to its cold blood, and then they were light a ring of fire around it as they threw spears into the center of the inferno. Now me and him were kinda far apart from each other but we both heard it and apparently he saw something, according to him it looked like a wolf with no fur, and very sharp teeth. We never heard from this thing again but since then I've been terrified to walk down to my bus stop and plus every time I walk down my road, whether it'd be day or night, I feel like I'm being stalked by someone, or something. Remnants of Megalania could have survived when the Aboriginals arrived at Australia. If you haven't heard of it, the Haast's Eagle is a giant Eagle that Scientists believe went extinct 500 years ago. The popular ones like the Loch Ness Monster, Sasquatch, and Jersey Devil probably don't. They've been researched too much and no tangible evidence is ever found. I would only believe stories of Cryptids from the sea. There is so much ocean out there, that we're finding things daily that we either thought were extinct or never could have existed. Such as the giant squid. Just a few short decades ago the giant squid was as much a myth as the Chupacabra. But slowly the corpses were found, and finally we have actual video proof. Also, I believe "gnome" is just the spanish word for "dwarf" like as in Snow White ect. ect.. I must defend this since I remember seeing shows back in the late 80's or early 90's when people were trying to find evidence and most people thought it they were not real.
