satten
I bought a GTA 4 version legit from amazon last march, never really played it till now. im at the mission after getting on the computers and after 5 minutes of playing my screen shakes and the cars keep accelarting and the damage makes it go to black smoke? can anyone help me please
JeddyH
You know saying "last March" would imply that you brought it last year in March, which is impossible. Everything you described is a anti piracy measure.
XAF226
As I already stated in the other topic, the FAQ topic stickied at the top answers this question. FAQ
supermortalhuman
either you did something wrong that ONLY rockstar can (and ONLY rockstar will) help you with, or you stole the game, dude. lol. congratulations, you're rockstar's latest monkey. You need to call them, or buy the game.

supermortalhuman
then dont worry, mate. just give Take 2 a call, give them a proof of purchase (they can help with that), and you'll be sorted, no worries.
Girish
If you've indeed purchased a legit copy of the game and are not using a no-dvd crack, then this issue can be resolved by revoking the license and reinstalling the game. That is what Rockstar has suggested for people facing anti-piracy triggers with legit copies.

popat lal
could be that you dont TURN OFF your Anti-Virus s/w when playing the game. i had this problem recently with my legit GTA4 too what happened was i forgot to turn off Kaspersky Anti-Virus (KAV) & started playing the game. In-game, after 2-3mins. the camera will go to drunk-cam mode & any car niko drives gets engine damage as soon as he sits in. when i alt-tab'ed to desktop, i saw KAV detected the game's exe as some trojan & was trying to put it in quarantine. but for me, at next system restart, KAV will delete gta4.exe & when i tried to run the game, RSGC will pop-up a msg stating that i have "Parental Control ON" & game will not start. you have to manually add gta4.exe to "Trusted s/w..." in KAV
