I've moved from 1 country to another 5 and that will be 6 when summer holidays begin in 2010. Im moving on my own somewhere around february to a student apartment in the city im studying in. That is if i can find an apartment in the middle of a semester. It was the best day of my life, just to have that freedom to be away from your family. Since then, these have been the best 3 weeks of my life. And I can have pets unlike my old apartment. Pico Posted September 27, 2009 Share Posted September 27, 2009 I've moved 4 times with my family, and helped my brother move in with his wife to their apartment. It f*cking sucks. The physical act of moving does, at least. I'm the strongest of my brothers, and stronger than my dad. So guess what? I move all the heavy sh*t. It's either me and a brother, or me and another brother, or me and my dad... couches, ovens, fridges... by the end of the day I'm beat. I f*cking hate moving because of that fact. About a month or so ago I helped my brother get two couches from a family friends house and move it to his apartment. I ended up just carrying one couch up by myself on my back, up two flights of stairs... doesn't help I'm out of shape so I need a minute to catch my breath after each haul. As for moving and it's effect on your life/lifestyle, the past move was for the best. Bigger, much much better house. And that time my mom's friend who works at a dock warehouse came to help. We literally moved a house worth of stuff for 7 people in 2 1/2 hours total. It was crazy, last time it took us 6 hours. That guy knew what he was doing! So the move wasn't bad and I'm in an awesome house like 10 blocks down from where I used to live. I've been in the same town my whole life so I haven't been really affected by moving much.
