Slamman
Are you fed up with Vista? I just got Vista on a dual core Acer. I've been delving into that to get a handle on it, but I am most familar with Win 9x and XP/2000 NT is still located underneath Vista, but it is a major overhaul that is wrinkled until Windows 7 supplants it. For going BACK to XP, you can't really Restore like the days of Win 9x, where the Uninstall file is backedup on the HDD itself. Since Ghost re-images (mine is Windows ME on Norton Ghost, BTW, the data is wiped from the disc's option menu, where you are prompted to confirm and proceed. Not sure of any differences, but that's when it boots up and detects the HDD is formatted for use., or in either case, wiped or with content. (can recall it detecting a used drive in a machine)
