Samcro Posted September 25, 2009 Share Posted September 25, 2009 Okay, so I've been getting into some GTA Race matches to try something different and I am surprised by something very strange. When I try to ram another opponents car off the road or put him in the wall like a Nascar driver, I am sometimes kicked. Now, maybe I'm not the brightest tool in the shed, but doesn't GTA Race imply you are trying to kill your opponent, or at least f*ck their sh*t up and gain a position? Anyone else experience this? And it's supercars on 4 laps, and someone 'nades my car on the first lap. Then I get spawned with a faggio for the remaining laps... are you sh*tting me? I think about 70% of the time it's luck, the other is about actually driving and shooting! And pretty much every game you enter, there's at least 2 people spawn killing which is funny when it's you but f*cking annoying getting killed repeatedly Once when I played GTA race not long after getting the game, I was being spawn killed at the airport. It was my mission to actually get away and I only had half a lap left... I have experienced it and it is indeed annoying. And in a GTA Race with no weapons, and crappy starting vehicles. The 'clever' one gets out immediately (after putting Traffic to High) and finds a bike or banshee and wins the race, while the 'not-so-clever' guys in trucks keep racing and ramming. Since most people just mess around, it usually makes the competition to the finish line pretty easy. Yesterday I was doing an eight lap road race on Stars in Your Eyes and after the third or fourth lap, everyone was just running around killing each other. I just kept on driving in my Comet and being careful of not running into anyone. Plus, the fact that a health pack spawned every lap, I didn't have to worry about my car becoming too damaged. I think this is what really annoys people. I try to never waste an opportunity to cap someone who just respawned because that is what's been done to me. Had some toppers where they're grinding with me and i'll pull away then slam, next thing their straight into a wall lol Grenades are annoying as hell. As J4 said, its annoying getting grenaded in the first lap. They really should have made you start off with a better vehicle.. lol Its very rarely that someone will get more money that the guy in first place (well thats as long as the guy in first has had a fair few kills.) The amount of times i'v had say about 6 kills, and the spawn camper gets double, i finish 1st - 3rd which means i tend to get more. I tend to just do races. GTA races if full of grenaders (some of them must finsih with a good 40 odd grenades lol) and then theres the AA nub spawn campers. TheBruceter Posted September 28, 2009 Share Posted September 28, 2009 The more annoying thing is though... every fairly big race, they'll be a f*cking spectacular wipeout and thats when they start leaving One thing i love the most, is overtaking people when you've been held back/spun out. People leaving makes that difficult as theres more time between everyone. I always have to get the guy back that spun me out. Always orgasmic when you do it ha ha I'll never go into a race and decide to spin, push etc. One thing you notice lol is the idiots that do try and stop people overtaking, always end up being overtook due to them leaving space at the other side when their trying to deal with someone he he I might need to start doing it though.. come on, so close to being 10 and i do win a fair amount. Soon it'll be time for fun and f*cking about Had a hate message last week by a 5 that complained about me f*cking him over in a race. Mainly higher levels aswell to, prefer to not race but about turn and set crap up so they can get easy kills.. Now that ain't a part of AWP. Got invited to a race, me and another 10 and a 7 with 2 or 3 noobs. The 10 immediatley turns round, so i pick up a gun and do the same (he woulda killed me and the 7 woulda had a breeze.) I finsihed with 7 - 3, him 3 - 6 i think. Got spam kicked, hate messaged and he's even turned into a bigger bitch by spam kicking me whenever he's in the same game as me. Now this is something i'm gonna be doing alot (I'm 10 now, don't need to win.) This is especially annoying when you got a track that has intervening laps, one guy was just sitting there waiting for someone to bash over, he never got me though, i got good eyesight and saw him waiting, i dodged him just in time and someone behind me crashed right in his side! And i really don't like doing races with weapons turned on, you always get idiots who will just start shooting at everything and just forget to race! Sometimes i just switch to Team Deathmatch, most of the times they suck hard at it... And i sometimes set up a gta race without weapons, just so we can race with trucks, choppers and other stuff you won't get in normal Race. Surprises the heck out of them when you shotgun the twits. Same for hosts who set up 8 laps of SIYE. Why is the crappiest track in the whole game the most popular? I save spawn camping for lag cheats, turbo users, spawn campers, and modders. I love GTA race and I usually race to win but if you get naded or shot on the first lap there is the fun of griefing the leaders or whoever took you out in the first place. But it makes you better in racing, i was starting a race few days ago and just a few seconds in the race my left tire was blown off entirely! i still managed to finish the race on the rim. My car was burning yesterday and the guy who did it crashed so i thought, good opportunity for revenge! So i crashed into him and BOOM! took him with me.... Yesterday I was is first place with almost a whole round down to number two, but I got killed and kept spawning the same place where this guy killed me about ten times before i finally got away. plus, even when you are done, you have to wait about 10 mins. for the others to finish because they keep getting killed by that same guy. Really several games in one. Sometimes it's a race, sometimes a deathmatch, depends on the settings and players. I like that wild card element. Deathmatch bores me, WTF is up with no penalty for getting shot? If R* could make one change it would be to add the option of costing a player $100 every time they are killed. The race started with like, 13 players. Everybody was racing back then, but then some losers (that must suck in a DM) started to fight. Want cash? set up Team mafia with a friend, then wait for a third to start game, then U both kick that 3rd and split the $50,000 and the missions.
