Untouchable Niko

While playing GTA 4 and on a rampage, I came across a cover spot where it is almost practically impossible for the police to reach Niko (yes even with six stars). What makes this cover spot/hiding place so cool is the fact that it allows you to cause even more mayhem...indoors, and while the police are coming for you.

Location: Alderney, Honkers strip club.

Head inside with at least a 2-3 star wanted level. As you enter the club, notice a small gap in the wall where there is a cash register. Jump into the room through the gap as it is the only way inside it. No one can enter it.

Now here comes the crucial part. Make Niko take cover in the right-hand corner of the little room direclty below the cash-register as close to the right-hand corner as possible. Make sure you are able to shoot blindly from your position though and are able to throw grenades etc. You are now almost untouchable. Be careful not to expose any part of your body to the cops, except when you blind fire of course. Now watch as the confused cops head in looking for you. Its a small space so most cops can get blindly shot at almost point blank range with hilarious results.

Once I went on for about twenty minutes. There were about 40 blue boys scattered on the floor outside the small gap lol rampage_ani.gif

Now thats a great way to get the one-man army achievement. Try it out. Take plenty of grenades and thow it at the entrance as cops swarm in. Some cops go flying into your small space but will probably be dead.

Enjoy

Didn't know about that one, thanx for sharing. There's another spot where I've managed to last for about one and a half hours. It's the window that Luis uses to bust the deal during the mission Museum Piece You just need to go to the back of the Libertonian, there you will find a wooden structure with a ladder, climb up and there you go, you´re literally untouchable. When the helicopters arrive you just need to find the right spot and they won't be able to hit you because it's a closed spot and the bullets can't penetrate. The only way for the cops to reach you is to climb up the ladder so you just need to sit and watch the cops climbing to their death.

Some times the game will stop sending cops after you for like one or two minutes but be patient and they will spawn again.

Maybe you already know about this but meh... maybe someone will learn something new biggrin.gif

I find blocking the doors in the lawyers building with cars then having a full view of everything going on outside a whole lot more fun and epic, they can't get to you since all the doors are locked, and you are inside a glass covered building you have a perfect view of all the cops trying to get in, it's just awesome

im gonna try the ideas you guys have said see how long i can last biggrin.gif, i usually go upstairs in the grotti showroom and block of the bottom and top of the stairs with cars so cops cant come up. good thing about that place is you have an easy escape route and means of escaping by stealing one of the turismo's

i got 1 man army from the hospital either one that lets you in works wonders the spot on the right wall when you first come in you can blind fire any cops who come through the door and if you get hurt theres a health pick up across from you and a sprunk machine close too so i never die from this in fact i like to use this tactic to get ammo for my weapons because all those dead cops.

plus when you get tired of it you can wait for a gap between cops run out and just grab a car.

haha goodone el burro 69

I hung out around there and jumped behind the desk waiting for the cops to leave. I thought they left cause the dots dissapeard off the radar but boy was i fooled!

I hopped back out from the counter and had 20 cops equiped with shotguns and pistols all aiming at my face, luckily i tripped and fell to the ground so one of the officers busted me in time before i got my face shot all to hell.

I need to hook up my 360 so I can try these.

One of the subway stations around Middle Park (I can't remember which one now, but I'm guessing it's the one on the north side) has a good cover spot behind a wall just past the end of the stairs. There is a health pickup that respawns frequently on one of the columns in case you should slip up. You can rack up a lot of dead cops, noose and fib agents to the point that the game becomes sluggish. It's also a good way to get a lot of ammo for the combat rifle and shotgun as well as a six star wanted level.

Once you've had enough, you can easily escape through the subway tunnels and lose your wanted level.

the house down the road from Packie's family home that you shoot up with Jacob in one of the early missions is a good place, shelter by the wall to the left of the dinning room table, eventually you'll get bored as the police most of the time only come in, in groups of two's, also there is a building where there is a pigeon on the roof only accessible by helicopter in meadows park, its near the museum in Dukes, might be in Steinway or meadows park, not a 100% certain, it has shelter from choppers, its not impossible for them to get you but it is still a good place.

My favourite siege nests is in Alderney, not far from the safehouse in Mahesh Avenue. During one of the motorcycle chase missions, Niko actually goes by it as he pursues his target. When you come out of the door of the safehouse, turn right, walk down to the corner, turn right again, walk down the road, almost to the bottom, and the last turning on the right before you reach the bottom is a track which leads up an incline. You follow that track right up the hill and towards a large building (which is actually the RON oil building) with a ladder leading up to a high ledge. Go up that ladder and you can have the best siege ever. I usually start a bit of sniping to get the cops interested. Helicopters have difficulty shooting at you for most of the time, if at all, but you can knock them out (be careful where they fall though). Any cops etc. coming up the ladder can be just popped off, until you have a mountain of geezers at the bottom of the ladder. Sometimes they drop their guns at the top for you to pick up. You get the odd wounded one lying on the ground asking for mouth to mouth etc.! You can lob grenades over the edge as piles of cars and other vehicles park up. You are pretty free from fire if you don't stand too near the edge when you get to 5/6 stars. Occasionally there are snipers on the high buildings, but they are usually chopper crash survivors. You have to keep your attention on the ladder area and not wander off around the back of the building. The amount of damage you do can be colossal, and Niko can last for ages. cool.gif

I have a case of a literally untouchable Niko.

Go to Alderny and go to the Hospital on Albany Ave. Go left cross the street and left again after crossing the street. Now there you will see a blue dumpster. Go to the first ( Or second )pillar of the building facing the front of the dumster ( Armor for best survival results ) and drop a grenade and walk away from it torwards the gap between the side of the dumpster and the building to where the blast radius can still catch you. If done correctly Niko should land laying down in the gap and glitch inside the building. Now you can kill and shoot the cops, but the cops cant even touch or shoot you.

Hahaha all the best stuff is coming together comrades I'm going to try them all out soon.

Next thread I'm thinking of making is a Possibly The Best Ladder where you can have some fun with cops.

Think of snakes and ladders only replace snakes with cops, but they're the same thing right? I'm gonna test my location first to genuinely see if its "the best" with some experiments lol then post if its worth mentioning smile.gif

I wouldnt call this the best spot, but in Aldernay,

when your running from coppers and need armor and some breathing space, go into the Ferry Terminal building! Go in, turn left, and go to the end (in the corner, East side). The armors just south of there out on the narrow pier/quay (?) IME the cops only enter there at the main entrance where you came in, you can pick them off from a distance from behind your vehicle! They've never come in thru the low windows that are close by (a handy escape route!) and they pile up outside the building on the other side of the wall in that corner which makes for some amusing listening!

I've had them somehow touch off an explosion (s) out there which of course hurt me right inside the wall from them. And helicopters are not a factor inside there.

I know a really cool spot, go in the place where you play darts and go behind the seats at the back and take cover against the wood part at the back of the seats. Then just blow cops away with a shotgun as they come through the door.

In dukes there is a building that looks like this.....

Get a chopper to land on the roof, and go to the small room up there that looks a bit like a bell tower in the south east corner of the building.

Slappy White

I posted this in another thread, but it fits here too. Mr. Fuk's Rice Box korean restaurant in Alderney City has the best roof (imo) to do damage from. If you go onto the highest part of the roof (easy to do: go up ladder, then climb on the heating/AC unit, then hop up) the police heli's don't even shoot at you (on Xbox anyway, havent tried PC or PS3). LCPD/FIB/NOOSE can't climb up to where you are either. Plenty of room on rooftop, so they won't even shoot at you unless you walk towards the ledges (cuz they cant see you). Fun to snipe, bomb, spray bullets & rockets from and you can literally sit there, untouched, for as long as you want...best spot. I like having a getaway vehicle parked in the alleyway down behind the building (near the ladder) to flee the 6-stars once i get bored, blasting off shots as i speed away. Badass. icon14.gif

Another spot (albeit, not as good) is in Northern Alderney (i forget the exact neighborhood). I think its like a block or 2 south of the motorcycle dealership & large car park. Its an enterable building with a Portuguese (? - half red/half green) flag hanging above the door; there's a little mini strip mall next door to it (to the north). Anyway, go into the building, climb the stairs to the roof and continue south & east along the rooftops to the very end. LCPD can't run up on you because of the uneven rooftops, but the helis can (and will) shoot at you. Cool view but it requires some work to stay alive on higher wanted levels.

There's 1 more in the middle of eastern Bohan. I cant remember exactly how to get to it though - next time I fire up GTA I'll check it out again & edit my post with info. cool.gif
