What happened to the fight club?

So, before we knew anything about this game at all, we were wondering about fight clubs, it was one of our top wishes for BOGT, I think.

 

Then the first trailer came out, and I thought the fight club SCENE all but confirmed that we would have fight clubs, and I think a lot of other people thought the same thing.

 

Then R* started hyping all this other stuff about parachutes, helicopters & tanks...and people kind of forgot about fight clubs.

 

There have been many previews now-and I haven't heard a word about fight clubs.

 

Maybe they are just waiting until the last second to unveil it? The icing on the cake?

 

I hope so because I really don't think it would be that hard to do, and I think it would be a lot of fun...and don't tease us with a fight club scene in the trailer if we're not gonna have fight clubs as a minigame.

R* would be foolish not to include it, espically when they've around shown luis fighting some big brute in a cage.

 

It wouldn't be that hard to put fightclubbing in, just throw luis in a cage with some dudes and let what needs to happen, happen. And by that i mean let them beat the sh*t out of each other as us men do.

It's pretty obvious it's going to be in, with the trailer showing him in a fight club cage and all promotional material for Luis saying he works in 'underground fight clubs'.

Bear in mind that the latest trailers have been character-focused, and with neither of them taking part in the Fighting events, it would be a bit out of place having a random shot of Luis fighting.

I've got a question:

How exactly can fight clubs work? I mean..gta protagonists are always so much stronger than peds. So will opponents be better fighters with more health? Or will the fight club be reminiscent of so many kung-fu movies where the hero takes out opponent after opponent with little effort?

maybe it'll be the more fights you win, the harder the fights and more people you'll have to face, maybe even with melee weapons.

 

say for ex: at lvl 1 you'd fight a couple hobos, but at harder lvls you'd be facing off with 8 irish gangsters with 4 of them carrying baseball bats at once.

I really hope they don't axe the Fight Club. I've been looking forward to it since that one dude discovered it with the TLAD files and even before that when i read Luis' bio in the LCPD Database.

 

I've never seen a ped as big as the one Luis's beats down in the debut trailer. That is ONE heavy set fellow.

It might feature in Luis' own trailer even. Or at least give a few quick shots of more gameplay midst the fightclub challenges.

I don't think they're waiting until the last minute, the game doesn't come out for over a month for goodness sake. There's a new exclusive features section on the site, and I bet we'll be seeing that added as a feature there in the next few weeks.
