Lollercoaster
Considering the view distance, that is a pretty useless feature. Unless you're sniping at a helicopter next to you.

ChrisAndy
Anyone notice how from the 14-15 mark of the trailer the weapon used sounds like it has a silencer attached? You don't actually see it but it probably means a silenced P90. Edited October 1, 2009 by ChrisAndy

VolksONER 2.0
Ok so is the aa-12 gonna have different rounds or only the explosive ones? From what I've read it seems to be only the latter. That is an insane gun either way. One grenade round from that thing destroys a room 12x12 if I remember correctly. And in the pics it has the drum which hopefully reflects it's real counter part which holds 40 rounds. Anyone that hasn't yet should really look it up on YouTube. Theo the Gangsta
I think Rockstar is really stupid by adding all these ridiculous weapons in TBoGT as well as weapons customization (ugh!). They should work more in adding full car modification in the game. Keep the weapons simple. I really hope the next GTA will not follow the format from TBoGT. There has yet to be proof of weapons modification. If by keeping weapons simple you mean keeping it to a rudimentary number so that they can charge you more to use more guns later, then I suppose they agree with that business model. But I think it's fair for the average consumer to spend $65 on a game that operates 75% on gunplay and expect more than just 2 types of SMGS, Pistols, Etc. Choices don't hurt- I think most people prefer them.

How can an average criminal got access to these weapons, especially with GTA IV going towards realism? It just doesn't make any f*cking sense! I think R* should emphasize on full car modification. Criminals steals cars and remodify them in order to make the car unrecognizable to the owner as well as selling them. If the game is called "Grand Theft Auto", this should be the emphasis, not having unbelievably ridiculous weapons in the arsenal. Weapons should be kept simple: concentrate on handguns and shotguns, may include a occassional AK. No f*cking RPGs and grenades or auto shotguns with f*cking explosive bullets! When do you ever see criminals armed with such weapons. This is GTA, not COD or RB6, for f*ck's sake.

Why are there always some idiots who emphasize car modification to racing games only? And why should GTA have those crazy weapons? I, for one second, is not a fan of crazy weapons. I want to ask if you have seen one criminal ever use a sniper rifle, a RPG, grenades/grenade launcher or a f*cking auto shotgun that's shoots explosive bullets? Not a f*cking lot, eh? From GTA IV, I see a trend that GTA go toward realism more. That's mean only using handguns, shotguns, submachine guns and maybe a assault rifle. No sniper rifles, RPGs, grenades and military-style weapons as such. Just because a DLC have such weapons doesn't mean the next 'main' GTA will follow suit. woody242
This whole argument about crazy weapons is, just.. Strange. I don't see how someone is complaining because some gangsters dont have those weapons in real life when, it's not real life. Criminals dont normally take 7 shots from a glock to die, yet it happens in GTA. This complaint of whacky weapons is alien to me. If you dont like the new weapons go through the entire game with a glock 17 and winchester 1300, youll just end up getting riddled with an enemy's P90. Theo the Gangsta
GTA is a game of over the top action and craziness. It is a VIDEO GAME. Why would I want to play a game where I can only do the things that i could do in real life? IMO, I found that having more realism in GTA could greatly increased the fun. Instead of having to fight enemies armed with ridiculous weapons like the P90, it should be a realistic shootout using real-life criminal weapons, such as a handgun, a normal pump shotgun or a TEC-9 machine pistol. It will make you immersed in the action, knowing what it feels like in a real life and death shootout, not having a cartoonish shooting spree like the previous GTAs. That't why I will never play TBoGT. It doesn't make any sense to the direction that IV is taking.
