Pipe Bomb / Grenade

Ok so yea in the DLC TLAD the pipe bomb was introduced. I understand if it gives a more ghetto street explosive, but is there any difference between it and the grenade? As far as I can tell the fuse time is the same and the damage seems to be equal, anyone know why this was put in the game?

well. a grenade is more spherical whereas the pipe bomb is a cylinder.

Well I'm glad you know your shapes, but I'm looking for the usefulness of each, because if they are the same I see no reason why it was added to the game.

Have not played T&D yet, I'm waiting for the episodes disc. I'd like to know too. Woulda been great if they were remote detonated pipe bombs. When I heard pipe bombs were in I was thinkin':

Unfortunately for you they're normal not remote detonated. You can shorter the fuse by holding it just like grenade in GTA IV. I think they're having bigger explosion radius than grenades.

yes aside from my sarcastic observations, i believe the blast radius is larger like Tycek said. also they're easier to roll under vehicles (grenades go under the car and roll down the street) and i think that might have been the reasoning behind them.... but really.... there's not a noticeable difference in my opinion.

Roll a pipe bomb down the street and then try a grenade and tell me the difference.

Pipe bombs are better to throw out of the car in a car chase IMO
