xNewtype Acex
Basically, Vice City is almost done and San Andreas is already started And your proof of this is where?
sminem
And your proof of this is where? True, but I like the idea of RDR references in GTA games. It would be funny if Packie McReary was related to Irish from RDR.
GritEngine
ah, no proof fellas, I just think in the terms that, Rockstar isn't going to let GTA just be absent for too long, and this game is not one that you "take a break" from and still get out on time before the last one loses freshness. We'll call it an educated guess or assumption to be fair, but I would be willing to bet also that half of the stuff used in Ballad Of Gay Tony, especially VCFM, are just the rejects for the next game that won't be used, and were already licensed anyway. They never stop workin on this game. The map people had to have been working on something while the coders and other technicians we making the episodes, and I could never believe for one second any game took precedence over GTA. Meaning, the other games Rockstar puts out seem like little things they put out from development toward gta, before the next gta comes out. Always been like that. Darkel2001
I'd be happy if they just gave us San Andreas in GTA IV engine, kind of like how Valve did the first Half-Life in the Source engine.

You mean the same map? I wouldn't want that.
Jabalous
Yes , they can easily keep a steady framerate and have a good view distance . Rockstar has made great improvements on RAGE engine after GTA IV's release , and these improvements have allowed the engine to handle more and more objects in one screen even if they are very far from the player . Red Dead Redemption has proven may claim . When you go around any point in RDR's world , you can see forever almost as same as the distance that the human's eye is capable of seeing . Although the game's world is almost five times bigger that IV's Liberty City , there are less texture pop-ups and sometimes you can't notice them at all . If Rockstar is going to create another San Andreas , it would be improved over Red Dead Redemption's capability .
