Maybe for the next GTA game in 2011 or whenever will have planes but I dont know why the must keep complaining for the planes in a city thats so small. Takes me like 3-5 mins to travel in a car from one side to the other, and like 1 min in a Heli. A Plane umm 20 seconds ? lol

MitchJ90
It works in SR2 so it could work in LC if explained storyline wise how he knows how to fly, like hes Gay Tonys pilot because he made him learn when he first started out. The thing you should've know by now is that GTA will never be like SR2. SR2 was Volition/THQ's sad attempt at recreating San Andreas, and brought features that GTA IV didn't have as a way to bring distraught SA fans to play their game. There will be no planes for TBOGT. period, so suck it up. To the people that think LC is too small.... um... GTA III? Vice City? LC is just a bit smaller than SA The filesize of IV's Liberty City is slightly smaller than San Andreas. It may just be one city, but it is as big as the PS2 rendition of SA. So now because of America, the whole world has to suffer with no planes Listen to what Sinz86irocblk had said, unless you're going to do a ridiculous "I Hate America" rant. Yeah screw you buddy. I have never once moaned about no planes I am fine without them, would be nice but I can live without. SR2 is a great game which actually gives everything all you lot bitch about missing. Nothing worked in SR2 and where in the f*ck would he fly Gay Tony to? That's gotta be fun taking off in Franis International Airport and landing in Francis International Airport To the people that think LC is too small.... um... GTA III? Vice City? LC is just a bit smaller than SA LC is not simply too small, it's just fine in size. It's just too small for airplanes and San Andreas would be far, far larger in comparison. Airplanes actually make sense when you have multiple cities with their own airports and rural areas in between. So now because of America, the whole world has to suffer with no planes This is not about terrorists and 911 or "because of America". Planes just have no place and no use in this game and so what? I sure as f*ck hope the developers don't come anywhere near here looking for suggestions, because if it was up to some of these "fans" we'd have a steaming pile of sh*t of a game. Oh my f*ck Again with the bashing against SR2. SR2 is a class game imo...for reasons different from GTA4 sure but its still a damn fun game that sold well and was generally well recieved by critics...so shut the f*ck up with the hate

It feels fake phony, generic, and useless. If planes were added with no other role than to satisfy a bunch of whiny babies it would be the same. Furthermore that game is the poorman's GTA with generic, physics, graphics, characters, voice actors, story, etc, etc, & etc. I will bash it because I hate it and it actually tried to compare itself to GTA. CHILD PLEASE ok now your just being pathetic...Frankly its the GTA fans such as you that give the vibe of being a ''whiney child'' or whatever since instead of just accepting it and understanding what makes it a very fun game you just accuse everything about it of being ''generic''....its story was well written, the characters were well voiced, the graphics sucked, the gameplay was incredibly versatile and its coop multiplayer alone totally wipes away anything GTA4 has offered thus far. But whatever your obviously too stubborn to accept what there is to like about that game, i dunno maybe you were raped by someone with gold teeth who made his getaway in a blinged out ride. Don't worry, its not your fault you haven't been able to resolve these issues of yours.

Its because of that strictly biased opinion against SR2 that has you so small minded that your opinion on the matter hardly stretchs past a rack of GTA4 games in a game shop. That ''cartoony wangster sh*t'' sold really and was agreed by plenty of critics on just how much more fun it was over GTA4's overly serious style of things. And I guess thats too much for you to handle because your so far up GTA4's metaphoric asshole that nothing else can come close to matching its ''perfection''...to which i'm sure thats how you'd describe GTA4. If you wish to masturbate to Saints Row 2 might I suggest people do it ELSEWHERE. If you wish to talk about SR on this board then use the Saints Row 2 Topic. DrAnomalous
I could go on about how weak that game is and how it just sits at the bottom of the totem pole. When it come to openworld games go ahead and compare it to all next gen games and it is sh*t. That's what it is, I don't need to compare it to IV but Volition went ahead and tried to compare their generic garbage to IV. Critics I don't give a sh*t, I have as much authority as critics. I don't care how well it sold either, clogs were flying off the shelves. . . . . . but they're short trend, goofy, and cheap, like SR2.

OGLuke
sorry. I guess R* could maybe add a small dodo plane, but only if they reduced the speed so it would take longer to fly across liberty city.
blahblah1212
The good old Skimmer is more likely, but, let's face it, that's not even likely. My theory is that Rockstar North is still afraid of ridicule for putting a plane in a New York City-based city on account of 9/11. But I personally think that it's okay by now. CharmingCharlie
I will confess I haven't read the whole topic but I am getting the impression there is a fair bit of "hostility" to the idea of a plane being included in the DLC. I can't understand why though ? I think a small dodo like plane would be perfect for Liberty City. Whilst LC isn't the size of San Andreas it sure as hell is a lot bigger than Vice City and that had a DODO in it. I've have always felt one of the key problems of GTA 4 was it's lack of diversity, the boats are sorely neglected in the game, the helicopters are hardly ever touched upon (I think it's 3 missions out of 90 missions where we get to use a chopper) and having a small plane in the game would have made GTA 4 seem much more varied than it is. I see parachutes are making a welcome return but I don't know maybe it is me but Parachutes + helicopters = does not compute (said in a Bender like voice). I can't understand why Rockstar couldn't have taken the time to give us a small DODO like aircraft that we could steal from the airport, fly to a high altitude and then parachute out. To me it will just feel totally unnatural to parachute out of a helicopter. I will admit it would be silly to have a 747 or a Learjet like aircraft in the game, but surely there would have been no harm in having a slow moving DODO in there. It is a missed opportunity and whilst not a deal breaker I think weakens the DLC a little.
DrAnomalous
http://www.elikos.com/helicopter/helicopter-parachuting.html Doesn't seem unnatural to parachute from a heli to those folks. Charlie you yourself say helicopters were not used much, but I don't see how many missions you can throw at a Dodo plane either. I have not played Vice in while but not too many missions stand out as memorable moments. My memory might be just a little f*cked up though. Knowing GTA IV physics, it will cut you up while in the air. When you jump out of a plane, the plane keeps going forward for a while.
