GTA fan
Hi i have a bit of a problem with a usb storage pen. i recently had to do a full system restore on my computer to take it back to factory settings so before i done this i backed up some files on a usb pen. after my computer was restored I put in the usb pen and could open it and look at the files, however when i tried to access it today it's saying the disk drive is not formatted! now i cannot access the files on it. is there some way i can format it without losing the files on it? any help would be appreciated, thanks! supermortalhuman
Well, you have 2 options here, well, try one, then the other is the only option if it doesn't work: 1: Plug into another PC still doesn't work? 2: Format it, using a QUICK FORMAT, then download Recuva http://www.piriform.com/recuva From the makers of ccleaner. Nichola
I can recommend you try to use ****************. I had to reformat my hard drive to reload windows and I deleted the second hard drive on my computer where my back up data was stored. And this program helped me to solve the problem. As far as I know, this program can work with different media types and with USB Sticks too. Mod Note :- yeah nice bit of advertising you had there, we don't appreciate users using this forum to advertise - cc
james227uk
I recommend you don't post useless info. Recuva works perfectly from my experience, and even the OP said it worked and the problem is solved.
