Car Bombing mission CTD

In the mission where Gerry wants you to blow up the car, whenever I try to place the car bomb on the targets car, I get the message to follow them but then the game crashes out to the desktop. Any one else having this problem? I'm running patch 1.0.4.0.

hmmmm try to update to latest match... and maybe this should go to trouleshooting forums so mods move it please ... And now is the game purchased or downloaded?

Also, do you have any mods installed?

Purchased version. No mods installed apart from xbox360 emulator so I can use my joystick controller instead of keyboard.

That's pretty weird then. I suggest reinstalling the game and deleting all files from the Settings folder. More info here.

 

But before that, try Xliveless and see if it helps. Don't forget to copy the saves to the new location.

 

If it doesn't help, then go for a reinstall.

Try getting a savegame from savagame arena that's right before that mission and see if you can pass the mission then.

Yeh this fixed it. Thanks for the suggestion. Dunno why it did that
